Great place - Edit
Really nice place. Tasty local food.
Read moreThe larp sandwich definitely a must try. Very handy to get it for take away and eat it at one of the lagoons. The tofu sandwich is also good but not as good as the larp in my opinion.
The fresh spring rolls and the papaya salad are also really good.
Pros: Larp sandwich, Great value, Friendly staff

Great food and lovely service - Edit
Every dish we had were delicious. Even the “All Mixed” smoothie was surprisingly good.
Read moreWe had the LARP, it was amazing to have this typical Lao food experience veganized. Plus the Sweet and Sour Tofu and the Pad Thai and it was too much food for the two of us. All this to say that the size of the dishes are big and have great value.
We also had a beautiful talk with the owner about veganism. 🌱

Great Larp Sandwich - Edit
As someone who really doesn’t like salads, I was so happy to find this restaurant serving larp in a sandwich. It was my first time trying larp and I absolutely loved it. I got it a little bit spicy, and that was how it was served. Meat replacement is of great quality.
Read moreI was there on a Sunday morning, and it seemed like one lady was running the place by herself with her kind son helping, but he seemed young. The service was therefore not fast but who cares on a Sunday morning.
I was craving my morning coffee toi but no coffee on the menu, after I paid and ready to leave for a coffee shop another customer actually ordered coffee so they do serve coffee!

What an amazing place, the owner was so lovely and shared her story of going vegan and her passion for healthy food. This reflects her cooking completely - I ate here every day I was in Vang Vieng, go for the Larb Baguette that was my favourite 😊

We dropped in to check the menu earlier in the day and had a chat with the owner, who explained the restaurant (and her lifestyle) is fully vegan. All herbs etc are grown and used in the preparation.

Every Day for 5 days - Edit
All dishes we had were fantastic. Had a tea and the lady went outside and harvested the flowers and leaves. Had a coconut and the young man took his bamboo stick and got one from the tree. Had green curry, sweet and spicy tofu, papaya salad, spring rolls, Larp (restaurant recipe), Larp (normal soy tofu) , and mixed fried vegetables during our Vang Vieng visit. ALL was excellent!!! Definitely recommend .

Huh? - Edit
I was really excited to come to a fully vegan place, because I could be confident that everything was vegan. The woman working there was a westerner who was very enthusiastic about the food and being vegan. I had a craving for sweet and sour tofu, so I ordered that and the fried mushroom noodles.
Read moreWhat came was not a sweet and sour tofu, but instead a spicy tomato-sauce based tofu dish, which while good quality, was far from sweet and sour. I called this to the attention of the waitress and she said they used chiles with the sauce, which I said meant it was not at all sweet and sour. Not sure she fully appreciated it, but said she would inform the management about that when they print their next menus.
I though the fried mushroom noodles would be a noodle dish with mushrooms. It was not. Instead it was fried crispy noodles that were a little too oily. Combined with another dish that isn't oily and that could be ok. But it just wasn't what I was looking for and thought I was getting.
Then after I was done eating, it was raining outside hard, so to prolong my time there and cut the oily taste, I ordered a dragon fruit smoothie. On the sign in front of the restaurant, they had a picture of a berry-colored smoothie, which is the color one normally associates with dragon fruit, and which is what I thought I would be getting. Instead it came with a kind of grey color - which maybe is a different kind of dragon fruit - and it was not really sweet, just kind of a mild, bland flavor.
So on all three accounts, what I got was underwhelming. This is not to judge that the food isn't good there. But it just wasn't what I thought I was getting. The waitress was so nice and enthusiastic, I didn't have the heart to tell her nothing made sense with my order. So my recommendation is to really talk it out with the people taking your order and not assume anything.

Incredible - Edit
Excellent variety of flavorful, nutritious vegan dishes, with some produce grown right on-site. The owner is welcoming and passionate - sharing an inspiring story of how they established Vang Vieng’s first vegan restaurant to reflect their values and support their livelihoods during tough times. Please support this local gem!

Loved this spot, run by a family with a good selection of dishes, we tried the crispy mushrooms, the pad Thai and the coconut milk noodles (these were the best!) and all reasonably priced.

Bland Food - Edit
Really looking forward to coming here after all the amazing reviews. Ordered the burger and it was terrible. 3 different sauces/purées on the burger but still tasted of nothing. The patty was quite thin/soft. Chips were ok as they were salted. I like what the owner is trying to do but he was quite overbearing which was a real shame

Very Good Food - Edit
Nice to have a chat with the Vegan owner. The food was good and knowing it was 100% Vegan was reassuring. It was served without delays unlike some of the reviews. We would eat there again. The location is on the main road through town, south of the night market entrance and past the big Buddha that is on the left hand side. It is on the right after a 2 min walk. The higher up outside sign is a little faded. It’s not a long walk from the centre of town.

I had a green curry the first time. It's not the thai one. No coconut milk and no thai green curry paste. It's more like a vegetables soup with thai basil. Mild flavour but well cooked and healthy.

Good - Edit
Not overly impressed, but still pretty good. And the wait time wasn’t that long to be honest. The first time I went, it only took like 15 minutes. And the second time, it took around 25 minutes. The smoothies aren’t amazing. The sandwiches are pretty good.
