Great vegan cafe! - Edit
It’s so great seeing more 100% vegan places pop up in Rochester. Holly cake is such a great addition. All of the desserts looked amazing, I got a cookie but need to come back to try more desserts. My partner and I both ordered sandwiches in addition to a side of hash browns. The hash browns remind me of the ones I used to get from fast food places as a kid, which were so good! It’s so great to have a vegan version of those.

Found the Hollycake House while visiting Rachacha. All vegan bakery options, breakfast and lunch sammies. Highly recommend the Venetian breakfast sandwich: super delicious. Muffins were excellent too.

Read moreToday I got take out with my mom and my aunt and we all enjoyed our sandwiches. My aunt got the vanilla almond scone and I tried the blueberry. Outstanding again. If I ever need a dessert for an event this is where I’ll go for sure. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Very impressive.

This is a wonderful little place that I try to visit every time I find myself in East Rochester. The sandwiches here are delicious and reasonably priced. Every one I’ve tried tastes very fresh and flavorful. I’m especially fond of the “chicken” salad.

I always get take out, but there is a counter with stools for people who want to eat in. There are also a few cafe tables in the building’s lobby.

Good vegan food and great customer service - what else can a vegan ask for! I discovered this place when they were still operating out of their house for cake orders only. Two years on, and their attention to quality and taste remains just the same. Try out their half moon cookies and the portobello mushroom sandwich. Oh, and the cake’s always ALWAYS good!

Love the baked goods - regular items and daily specials. I think the prices for the baked goods are fair. I've been there a few times and the almond turnover and sticky buns are my favorites. They are listed on the ROC VEGAN card for 2022 so I'll be back for my free cookie!

Overall disappointed. You pay top dollar for what is essentially bottom barrel vegan food. My hubby and I tried a vegan burger, a panini, two different cake cups, brownie, and onion rings. To sum all, everything tasted okay but nothing tasted amazing and considering we spent over $60 it was very disappointing.

I'm sorry you were disappointed with our bakery items and food. We try incredibly hard to provide high quality items most of which are made from scratch. Obviously the Beyond Burger is processed, but our seitan, sauces and all bakery items are made from scratch in house from high quality ingredients.

I had been wanting to try Hollycake House after seeing the review in the newspaper. The food was very good. I had "The Josephine," which is a portobello panini, and my dining companion had the "Daniel," which is described as an "Italian spin on on classic grilled cheese." Both were very good. My dining companion also had the soup of the day, and I had a side to go with the panini, along with two drinks. I was surprised that that total cost, excluding tax and tip, reached $40. It seemed a little high for lunch for two people (it actually went higher, because after seeing their baked goods, we naturally had to try something).
Read moreThe food is very good. However, the costs may limit how often we may frequent the cafe. In the end, our lunch bill came close to what we've spent on dinner for two at another vegan restaurant in Rochester.

I'm glad that I found this place! I found this place last year and I ordered my wedding anniversary cake. The cake was very good it was a funfetti cake with nutella in the middle. We wish that it had more nutella in the middle because the layer was pretty thin for our preference. She will also deliver your cake if you want that option. I would recommend this bakery. 🙂
