Nice to have a vegan place around. I ordered the pumpkin and mushroom risotto and it was delicious and a good size. They also have available to go food for your day hikes, which was a great healthy option for the day.

A friendly restaurant off the main restaurant strip. The staff are friendly and speak very good english. There is also a super friendly dog named Inti (not sure this is the right spelling). Be warned that if you start throwing a stick for her, she will not want you to stop! 😆 If I had known about her earlier, I would have brought a ball or tow for her.

Delicious and healthy meals - Edit
I love this restaurant in El Chalten. My favourite place to eat here! Meals are made with lots of fresh vegetables and this is just what we wanted (especially after hiking and eating just dehydrated food). We loved our stuffed eggplant, aduki bean burger and zucchini pasta. I’m vegan and loved it all, but of note my vego and omni friends really enjoyed it all too!

We also took energy bars hiking on our last hike and that was tasty too. They make lunch boxes that you take hiking with a main, fresh fruit, dried fruit and a muffin that I will get and take hiking with me tomorrow (and probably forget to take photos). Looking forward to coming back after our next hike!

The hot chocolate tasted like hot water and there were little pools of what I assume were coconut oil sitting on the top since they make it with coconut milk. The pizza was completely tasteless despite looking very nice aesthetically.

I really enjoyed the food we bought here to have at home. Delish! They have a big range including stuff eggplant, pumpkin and mushroom risotto and salads, pizzas and hamburgers. very friendly service. There are a few seats to eat in but it’s more a cafe to have a quick meal.

I had food at Curcuma three times during my stay in El Chalten. The first time I ate there in the afternoon, it wasn't crowded, nice chilled atmosphere, excellent food (hamburguesa, but gluten-free without any bun, with lots of side servings). The second time I ordered the wraps for take-away in the very early evening, which was also very very good. Went to go there one evening again, but it was very crowded, loud hectic music, no chance to get a table. So I ordered again for take-away, the atmosphere wasn't very pleasant anyway. This time the food was not good, the stuffed eggplant was very bitter, the adjoining vegetables not properly cooked. So I wouldn't recommend to go there in the evening, and would recommend you don't order the eggplant.
Read moreCurcuma is all vegan and gluten-free. Expensive, but portion sizes are huge (for me the leftovers would almost be a second meal, or you can share a main meal and then have dessert...). The juices were also tasty, fresh and healthy.

Incredible food, I had the aubergine/egg plant dish and it was massive and very tasty! My partner had the vegan pizza which was nice too. They didn't have the desserts we were hoping for, but we were stuffed anyway. It was busy and the staff were raving in the kitchen to music - great atmosphere.

We went for an early dinner. The place opens at 4 p.m. We ordered cheese and onion, pizza, and the burger. Along with a couple of juices. The food took about 45 minutes to arrive, and we were the only ones in the restaurant at at the time of ordering our food. So I think, everything was cooked from scratch. The people who worked there speak great English and are very helpful. There is also free Wi-Fi, which is a bit spotty, but better than nothing. The size of the portions were a bit too big for us, and there was no way that we could finish off the two dishes (we ordered a small pizza). A great find, in a small town.

Deliciously flavored food. The pizzas are wonderful as is the zucchini noodle dish. Enjoyed the chocolate smoothie very much! Felt bad for the 2-3 staff working as they were super busy which resulted in our food taking an 1.5hrs to arrive. Our server brought hummus and veggies over around an hour in to hold us over- very kind gesture.

Unique cozy place in El Chalten. We were really happy to find out that there is a vegan restaurant in this little hiking town and even happier when we tried there food .
