Best option for Vegans in Mendocino area - Edit

This is the best and only option of you want to support small scale and Independent - as well as they only real Vegan and veg friendly place. Like everywhere else in the area it is a little offensively overp[riced on many items - but a good selection of the basic Vgean essentials - plus some great locally produced and unique Vegan food items. Also has a great bulk foods and bulk teas section - basic household goods and half the staff seems happy to be dealing with people.

Pros: Good Vegan and Veg options., Independent Store, Great Bulk Foods and Bulk Teas

Cons: Often Pricey, sometimes surly staff

Nice little shop. - Edit

I was very glad to find this place on my Mendocino jaunt. It had everything I needed and the staff was friendly. The cashier even held up some home grown roses for me to smell. Like every place in Mendocino, it's a bit pricey like going to an island.

Nice small town community market. - Edit

This is a very small community market in an old barn. All the basic produce, at least 90% organic. Good vegan breads plus some gluten frees. Small bulk section with the basics, few veg/an meat alternatives, as well as butter and spreads, at least one vegan packaged cheese. Basic packaged foods like canned goods, pasta, grains, etc, and a nice little selection of grab and go goodies to munch on, probably 30% of which are vegan.
Though this place is small, you actually can get all your basic grocery needs covered as a veg/an. Large percentage of stores merchandise is organic or sustainable. They are way too pricey and the selection is very limited.

Pros: quaint building

Cons: Super Pricey, Holier than thou staff

Great little organic grocery store - Edit

It might be hard to imagine how Corners of the Mouth and Harvest co-exist in the same tiny town, but Corners is where you won't find the mass marketed items. The cute building houses a great little selection of just about every item you'd ever need on a Mendocino get-away. Upstairs there is a very extensive selection of herbs.
