Really nice authentic food!

The food is authentic, cheap and delicious!
Mock meat is super realistic.
Only managed to go there once. Would have loved to try the whole menu.
We had longlife noodles, sweet beef soup, Khmer curry with rice and dumplings salty and sweet.
Everything was delicious.

Pros: Authentic food, Really tasty, Very good value for money

Vegetarian place

Petit restaurant typique avec ses petites chaises rouges
Pas de viande mais appellation "végétal meat" pour des protéines de soja de ce qu'on a compris
On a bien mangé pour pas cher, un peu moins de 2€ par personne

Yummy and good prices!

I really enjoyed the vegan options at this spot. I tried the bread with mock meat (like a banh mi), the salty bun and a pandas cashew soy milk. I walked out happy!!

Quick and tasty food

We came here twice for lunch. The noodle soups are delicious and flavoursome and all the food comes out very quickly. We also like the filled baguette. Arrive early in the day if you want to try the salty (savoury) steamed bun as they were sold out both times we went. I also tried the pandan soya milk- they make homemade flavoured soya milks so worth trying if that’s your kind of thing! Casual spot for lunch, not open in evenings.

Pros: Quick and cheap , Tasty food , Friendly owner

Cons: Sell out of items quickly

So cheap

The food is very cheap there!
It opens very early so it's convenient for a breakfast if you have an early bus to take. They also have Pao (bun) and Pao it's always amazing to eat so I loved that place 😍

Tasty and cheap food

It’s listed as vegetarian foods restaurant on google maps. It’s not the cleanest place and the children there are very noisy but the food is tasty and very cheap. We got some noodle soups that came with various veg and mock meats. We also picked up some sweet and savoury boa buns to take away which were also good

Delicious food served fresh

They have large fluffy steamed bao stuffed with mushrooms and I also got a sandwich with mock meat smothered in sauce with pickles. The prices are ridiculously low and they speak English so they can confirm what dishes do not have egg. There is free tea that you can serve for yourself on the table.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Very cheap, fresh and delicious food, Friendly staff

Cons: Vegan dishes are not labelled, Soy milk is served in plastic bottles

Great place to get lunch for bus trip:)

That’s what we did, location is perfect for this. Good vegetarian dishes. I got yellow nuddle soup and Khmer nuddle something. Both very good and life saving on a bus that took much longer that expected:) super reasonable prices!

Cheap local food

I wanted to try something new so I ordered the veggie sweet beef soup with chinese noodles. The faux meat was delish and the soup well seasoned. Taking a picture of it came to my mind after my soup was already halfway finished, so dont worry about small portions.
Dont forget to order one of the dumplings. I had one with a salty filling. I dont know what all the ingredients of the filling are, but it contains faux meat too.
My boyfriend had a soya bean cake which was a nice change from cakes we are used to from home. In total we paid for all of that less than 3 USD, unbeatable cheap. #Veganuary

Local food, homemade soy milk and cheap !

We went to this restaurant every morning we had in Battambang. The soups and currys we tried were all really good. The salty bun was alright and the coconut cake was good. We tried almost every milk they had, they were all great, it's worth picking up to drink later.

Pros: Cheap, Good , Friendly staff

Cons: Can be noisy at time, depending when you go, Not the prettiest restaurant , Birds try to steal food outside if nobodys looking

A loooot of noise from the kids in the restaurant but the food makes up for it. They make their own soy milk and their sweet beef soup is bomb💣 really tasty baos too!

Great and cheap food

The sweet beef noodle soup is very delicious, the portion is big and the broth is great. The baos have a lot of filling and they’re served cold but if you dip them in the soup they’re 1000 times better. I tried the pandan milk and with sugar it was fantastic.

Cons: Noisy restaurant but part of the experience

Simple, local vegan and veggie food

We’ve visited here every time we’re in Battambang and it never fails to impress. Today we had beef curry with noodles, rice with veggie meat and a baguette with mock meat and pickles like a Vietnamese banh mi. All very good and we will return for sure. From memory, the mushroom bao are excellent too!

Fav place in the city

Everything I've tried, I liked a lot. Big portions, very affordable. As it's a family-run place, I've felt like I invited myself over to someone's house and it was awesome 😁

Pros: Cheap, but tasty food, big portions

Cons: Closes early

So good!!!

I love these kind of veggie eateries - family-run, friendly, non-touristy and cheap.

We stopped in for early lunch on a Sunday and had a delicious meal here.
My bf and I shared the “veggie sweet beef soup with chinese noodles”, salty dumplings (steamed bao) and baguette with veggie meat and pickles. I especially loved the soup which had a flavourful sweet & spicy broth and chewy meaty pieces of “beef” along with thin rice noodles. For 3 dishes came to a total of 13000 riel so US$3.20.

Such a shame we only had 1 day in Battambang, my bf and I agreed this was our favourite meal in Cambodia so far and we would’ve loved to go back for more.

Ps. wasn’t difficult to find at all, the map marker is correct and La He Street is marked on Google Maps so no problems tracking it down.

Pros: run by a lovely family, delicious local style food, cheap

Cons: only open breakfast/lunch time

Good food

I went here at 11am for some breakfast/lunch. Prices are really good for the area, and the menu provides a decent amount of choice.

Seems popular with locals, and a few of the dishes I was after were sold out. So might be worth getting there earlier on if you’re going for breakfast!

I had the sweet ‘beef’ soup with rice and it was decent. I avoided the noodles as I’m still a bit wary on whether they’re made with egg or not. Staff did speak English, so they are aware of no egg in dishes if you ask.

Homemade soy milk was tasty however, and they have a few different flavours listed on the menu!

Pros: Cheap, Good amount of options

Cons: Not entirely clear what is/isn’t vegan, Sells out of popular dishes early

Good breakfast spot

Very popular breakfast spot with the locals. Lots of variations of noodle soups. I had the vermicelli option which was very pleasant, just perhaps not the best I've tried in SEA so far. My partner had the yellow noodle which he enjoyed. The price was excellent at only $1.50 per meal. They also make their own soy milk on site which was delicious.

Delicious hearty home cooked veggie food!

We visited this no frills local veggie cafe twice in our four day stop in Battambang! Staff were friendly, spoke English and the food was delicious. Everything was homemade, even their own soy milk!!

We tried the Khmer curry with bread, savoury Bao, veggie noodle soup and the sweet veggie ‘beef’ stew with noodles. Curry and stew were our favourites but all were tasty!

Top tip - go early morning when it’s brimming with locals stopping for breakfast if you want to be part of the bustle, or late morning if you fancy it quieter but risk things having run out!

Pros: Lots of veggie options, Local hotspot and so cheap, English menu/speaking
