Tasty wraps

I started off saying I was torn between the 2 veggie wraps only I’m allergic to dairy. I was stopped from getting the I Yam as they put butter on the sweet potatoes. I thanked them profusely. I got the Mountain Goat minus the feta— very good. It didn’t taste as tho it was lacking.

Not a bad dinner spot for Vegans

I got the BYO burrito and added avocado and grilled peppers. Additionally I got the nachos with the bean hummus and that one is delicious. I actually ended up putting it on my burrito - you are welcome!!

very average but good for area!

i am not too impressed but honestly it’s better than nothing! grab for a quick bite or to eat when heading into acadia it’s super convient! i got the build your own and u just have to modify it and ask many questions on what’s vegan, i wish things were labeled more clearly bc apprently the yams have butter?? whyyyy 😅😅

Disappointing and flavorless

Limited vegan options. Beware- the yam (sweet potato) is cooked in butter and isn’t vegan! I had to build my own burrito- only vegan protein option was black beans. Beans, rice, peppers, onion, and avocado- somehow ended up being pretty flavorless. I actually had to add salt to it. It may be one of the better vegan options for this town, which is just sad.

Pros: Can build your own burrito or bowl , Soup today was vegan

Cons: Limited vegan options , Not much flavor

Blueberry habanero hot sauce!

Good food. Had the yam-I-am burrito and the mountain goat without the cheese. Yam was better. Also, a very tasty blueberry habanero hot sauce.

Yams not vegan

Not a bad burrito place. I had a BYO burrito. It was alright. Fairly bland. But I appreciate that the girl taking my order told me the yams have butter on them.

My (non veg) partner had nachos and said they were good.

Pros: Staff knowledgeable

Cons: Not really great vegan options. Yams not vegan.

Cozy, fast, and tasty

86 This offers wraps and burritos in downtown Ellsworth in a casual style restaurant. It is a great place to eat it you want a quick meal. I usually get the yam I am burrito... sweet potatoes and black beans are so good together! I’ve always been satisfied with their burritos, and they are always too big for me to finish. Their food is tasty, and this is overall just a nice option. They play great music inside, and they have added outdoor seating.

good for the area

I've had an easy time ordering vegan at 86 This, and have found the service to be accommodating, friendly, and aware of vegan needs. You need to specify vegan when you are ordering, and might have to do a bit of swapping, omitting and substituting to get what you want. However, it seems that special requests are welcome. So far I've tried the Mountain Goat wrap without cheese and a vegan beet gazpacho special, both of which were delicious and filling. I'll definitely be back to try more.

Pros: good portions, nice vibe, local favorite

Cons: no vegan menu options

Delicious!

This place was so good that I came back two nights in a row on my stay in Ellsworth. I recommend the hummus appetizer and a build your own burrito with sweet potato and cabbage slaw. So amazing! The perfect find in a city without much vegan options

Pros: Vegan options , Not too expensive

glorified taco bell

I would compare this to Verve in Bangor/Orono. All they have for vegans are salads or burritos. The burritos have beans, rice and then I added avocado for an extra price. Add ons are $1 each and the people I talked to at the register werent sure what was vegan or not. Its kinda like food you can get at Taco Bell except Taco Bell is cheaper.

Yam I Am

Whenever we drive through Ellsworth this is where we stop for lunch. The Yam I Am burrito with roasted sweet potato used to be my go-to. Recently I like to build-my-own with cabbage slaw and avocado. Fresh and delicious with lots of flavor! Also good sized burritos will fill you up, unlike a local Belfast-Augusta chain whose portions have gotten skimpier while their prices go up.

Pros: Delicious fillings, Fast service, Menu is flexible providing good choice

Cons: Roasted onion often vry under done: pale & crunchy
