I would never go back now that they serve meat and the quality of vegan food had greatly declined even before they fessed up to selling the restaurant to meat eaters
I just had to review this place again, I have gone more times then I can count, even my non-veg friends come here without complaint...you really can't go wrong, everything is incredible, we have never had anything we wouldn't recommend...make the trip you won't be sorry
Review:6/18/07- This is my new favorite restaurant. From the calming Zen like atmosphere and the friendly staff, to the amazing food and huge portions, there is nothing about this place I wouldn't recommend. I went for my 30th Birthday today and as soon as you walk in you feel welcome. I had the lunch special with Miso Soup, Spicy Eggplant w/tofu, Steamed Brown Rice, Mixed green & Herb salad, and a summer roll all for only 6.95 amazing amazing amazing...the dressing on the salad was really good though no clue what it was. My Mom tried the Pepper steak wrap and cucumber salad...The cucumber salad was spicy and sweet and oh so fresh, the wrap was good, but the real star of the meal was the Chicken Satay we shared, when you go here you MUST try it, served with a peanut dipping sauce and oh so scrumptious. There was not a mouthful that I didn't thoroughly enjoy...Please go out and support this place we want it around for a looooong time. I plan to go back next week when my friends take me out for my birthday...

Jackfruit what a concept
My Mom & Stepdad took me here for my birthday today, a vegan mexican restaurant is a rare find. My Mom & I split the Taco Combo with rice and pinto beans, and the BBQ sandwich. The combo was not worth the price, if not for the hot sauce it would not have tasted like anything. On a brighter note the BBQ Sandwich was incredible, filled with bbq jackfruit, pickles, onions and vegan mayo on a toasted sourdough roll, I could just eat the bread and be happy it was that good. The sweet potato fries that came with it looked burnt and were soggy no clue how that happens, would not get them again. My stepdad had the super burrito wrap, he enjoyed it very much, we tasted it and it was yummy. we also had the fried pickles and the avacado, chips and salsa, both were tasty but very small portions for the price and they bulked the sweet potato fries and fried pickles with a bed of cabbage under them, you thought at first glance that it wasn't the ripoff it turned out to be...the taste stars of the meal were the fried pickles and bbq sandwich. unfortunatly the greatest part of the visit is when it was over and we headed across the street to scoops for some vegan icecream

An amazing new venture for an amazing chef. The food is healthy and delicious. The mini corn dogs are a must have, the raw pizza is so flavorful and you can't beat raw ice cream sundaes. You will never know the rotating cake flavors(lemon explosion OMG), cheezecake, or brownies are vegan. The Gluten Free Bread on his spectacular sandwiches is absolutely the best gluten free bread I have ever encountered. Bottom line run don't walk on over to Rawsheed's Raw Vegan Fusion to find out what vegan can really be.
Went back tonight and all I can say is how can it get any better. Wind Eagle un Fish n Chips, Eagle Warrior Melt, Stomping Horse Seitan, Banana Split, and a Brownie Sundae...seriously does it get any better YUM!

I have been going to Veg Delight for 14ish years and it is consistanly great. Bill "the owner" is so sweet, always remembers us, and how we like our food(all the way down to what condiments we enjoy) The last time we were there was 6/18/77 for my birthday the food, service, and atmosphere was amazing as always, but the thing that really made my day was when Bill found out it was my birthday, he surprised me with vegan cherry chip icecream with a little pink candle on the side and sang me happy birthday. Its the little touchs, the feeling of family, that makes you keep coming back for more. The great thing about this place is the absence of mock meats, the fresh ingredients, and I don't think Bill ever says no, anything you want, its its possible he will do it.

No longer vegan
I can't believe a place thst claims to be 100% vegan & presumably always would be now carries drinks containing cows milk for his "meat eating" clients. What's next? So disappointed. After finding out that Streets of India Cafe now serves meat we decided to leave and head over to Vinh Loi Tofu, as always the food was amazing. We also missed the lunch rush and Kevin was very friendly and happy to help. I love how consistently amazing the food always is no matter what you order and that he has made a commitment to stay true to always staying Vegan! I have been to Vinh Loi twice, both times Kevin "the owner" was not the guy everyone makes him out to be, he told us both times we should have ordered ahead for his convienence or at least thats what it felt like, service aside the food is amazing and the fun little extras he sells are worth the trip all by themselves, the house special soup is addicting, nice and spicy, very fresh, and huge portions. they do make there own tofu and its amazing, you get 5 generous pieces of fried tofu for only $1.25 and its delicious, especially the lemongrass & chili. Everything is so fresh and will not weigh you down. Perhaps we just caught Kevin on a bad couple of days, most people seem to think hes incredible.

eaten here twice and all I can say is overpriced, no flavor, lots of fluff. Don't waste your time eating at the restaurant or shopping here for that matter. The items that they make themselves are actually cheaper at whole foods and that is just sad

Find where they are and go now, you won't be sorry. Vegan hotdogs and sausages with tons of toppings available. To top it all off they support The Gentle Barn, how much more amazing can you get

The staff is so sweet, helpful, and accommodating. The brunch menu is delicious and you can't leave without having a milkshake. I had one with coconut milk and pumpkin pie icecream...out of this world

We had the soy based pistacio orange water, chocolate pecan, and banana oreo ice creams and OMG they were amazing. You get 2 scoops as a small for $2.75 and the scoops are huge, the cones are vegan as well. It is a very small place, but they do have outdoor seating. It is just so much fun to be able to walk into an ice cream parlor and walk out with an ice cream cone or cup. If you stay they use reuseable cups, tiny shovel like spoons, and will let you taste anything and everything that you desire...I have heard that if you get a cup to go, wash it and bring it back the next time you get a discount, if its true thats pretty eco friendly as well.

The decor is interesting to say the least and it is a bit loud, but it was fun and the waitress was knowlwdgeable and very attentive. The food was amazing if not a bit pricey. We had a small Vegetarian Deluxe pizza, comes with tomato, mushroom, green bell pepper, onion, and black olives...they had no problem substituting fresh garlic for green pepper, base price is $15.75+$2.25 for vegan cheese and and additional $1.75 for extra toppings the prices go up with the size of the pie so you can see how it can add up quick. Price aside the pizza was great, not greasy at all, lots of veg, and very fresh tasting sauce. The free vegan garlic rolls were the highlight of the meal, piping hot fresh from the oven filled with vegan cheese and garlic oil. We also had a side salad $6.75, big enough to split with extra to go home, the vegan honey mustard dressing is delicious and I am not a big fan of honey mustard salad dressing so that is saying something. Definatly a place to stop if you are in the area. on a side note they also have vegan cookies, all natural, sugar free, sodium free, no artificial flavor, color, or sweetener root beer, twist, orange, black cherry, and cola as well as all natural organic lemonade, grape, and tropical punch. I had unsweetened ice tea, if you like lipton or sun tea you will like this

The first time I tried this place it was for my birthday with 2 non-veg friends, we all enjoyed it...I had the Bayou Chickin' with the sweetheart fries, the sandwitch was spicy and smokey and delicious, the fries were amazing and the dipping sauce even better. My meat loving friends enjoyed the Carne Asada and barley soup. The second time was for my Mom's birthday, it was so good the first time she just had to try it, being my mom she also had the bayou chickin', this time I tried the santa fe crispy chickin, also very good though I would suggest the Bayou if you prefer spice, which I do. all in all amazing food, friendly, attentive staff, and the peach ice tea is AMAZING!!! and refills are free...I can't wait to try the new west hollywood location as it is closer to my house and they have expanded the menu since I was last there, am looking forward to trying everything they offer
