I went here and had the dinner buffet. Excellent! Everything on the buffet was vegan except one or two items out of about a dozen. The price was very reasonable and the service was great. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be going back!

I was so happy to find this place! As a tourist in St. Thomas, I was pretty surprised at how pricey a lot of the restaurants are. It was somewhat easy to find vegan options at most restaurants, but I spent the early part of my visit really wanting to find somewhere that catered specifically to vegans, as opposed to mainstream places that charge an arm and a leg for a modified pasta dish or salad. On my last day, I happened upon Natural Livity...what a find! The menu is big and full of daily specials. All but one item was fully vegan. I had a two item combo for around $6 (by far the least expensive meal I had during my week long visit!) and it was FABULOUS. Seitan stew and sauteed greens--yum. Large portions too! Next time I go back to St. Thomas, hopefully in the next year or two, I will be going to Natural Livity several times!
Beware that they did have a sign posted saying they would be closing for renovations, I think the dates they were going to be closed were February and March 2012.

creative vegan dishes
I tried the vegan 'hellfish' tacos made with seitan. Delicious! My dining companions also liked their food, including the sweet potato fries, though not all their meals were vegan. It's a tiny place and doesn't take reservations so go early or be ready to wait!

Excellent vegan pizza!
What a great find in Ojai! We went there for dinner last night when the restaurant serves it's "Farm Cafe" menu (at lunch they have a Mexcian menu) and were so happy with our food! All their food is vegetarian with a few vegan options, and they grow most of their own produce, so everything is fresh and organic. I got the Pizza Vegano, made with cashew cheese, and it was hands down the best vegan pizza I've ever had. It's $13.75 but it's worth it.
The service was great, the decor is cute, and it's clearly a popular local hangout, since pretty much every table was full. They seem to close early (the website says they are open until "at least 8") and when we left around 9 they were shutting down.
If you're ever vising the resort in Ojai, definitely make a stop here!

I was happy to find a place to buy vegan items on my vacation in Kihei, but man this place is expensive! It made my Whole Foods in Los Angeles look like a good deal. I ended up not buying anything because I just couldn't justify the prices. It's too bad because they have a nice selection of items.

What a wonderful store! It was the only place on Maui that I found that had a full selection of vegan items at decent prices. I ate at the food bar and got an eggless egg salad roll and a tuna-safe toona roll--both excellent and only cost $2.50 each! They do carry meat which is a bummer.

I was so happy to find this gem in the midst of all the dang "seafood" around here! The restaurant does serve tuna, dairy and eggs, but has many vegan options. I had the Artichoke Sandwich and it was wonderful. Prices are reasonable for the area at $10 for a sammie. Service was friendly. Location is perfect right off Duval.
