Excellent food

Been here a lot over the years. Fantastic selection, good quality, tasty and excellent value. gorgeous desserts. The lunch buffet is incredibly cheap. Nice selection of drinks. Only complaint would be the menu doesn't change much.

Fairly good food in a lovely location. You wouldn't expect to find a vegetarian cafe here, so in that respect it was a nice surprise. I do find all the veg cafes in the Peaks do the same food ie Homity Pie and basic salad. The soup was very average. With more effort, it could be really great. Also, how much would it take to bring cutlery to the table? It's called service!!

Simple vegetarian food

Renamed ' Thyme to eat', decent vegetarian food and well priced. It's not somewhere I would rave about though, the salads were average and lacked thought. The service wasn't fantastic. They need to try that little bit harder with their menu and train all of their staff to give excellent service.

250 Camden High St, Camden, North West London, England

Good food, bit disorganised

15 Sep 2012

This small cafe has an interesting selection, and what we had was pretty good. The desserts were raw, lovely, very filling and there is a lot of these to choose from. The mains were tasty , although my lasagne was cold, but salads were average, nothing special and they should have more selection. Lots of thought has gone into the food but it was all a bit disorganised. The display was not very ordered and it was a bit annoying to try and figure out what was where. The seating is very uncomfortable. It probably suits Camden but because of the kind of food, a lot of raw and vegan, it is on the pricey side due to cost of ingredients, so its fair enough. However you don't expect a pricey meal and well, grubby surroundings. The windows need a clean and the seating needs sorting. With a bit more thought, planning and cleaning, it would be amazing.

Good cafe

Some good options for vegetarians. Nothing fancy but definitely worth going. They have gluten free options for sweet treats also. There is an attached chocolate shop.

Best location for a cafe!

09 Aug 2012

We have visited this cafe many times over the last few years. Behind a bookshelf in this wonderful bookstore, it is a great find for hungry walkers & cyclists. I do have to say we were disappointed this time with the food quality having slipped a bit. The cakes were old and then still out 2 days later! The menu needs changing and there is a lady during the week serving who is a hit grumpy- a shame in such a lovely space.

Excellent cafe

We have been here many times on various visits to the area and are never disappointed. High quality food with wonderful service. Vegetarians, vegans and gluten intolerant diners are a catered for. The serving sizes are generous, and it's a lovely overall atmosphere. Delicous soup and bread! Kids options too. Only 1 thing would make it better, a proper coffee!!
