Good, homemade food

The food is good, homemade and healthy. The service is fast and the ambient nice (the deco is quite old fashioned). This place is recommendable, although it is quite far from Las Vegas center. The prices are not the lowest (13-15$ per meal) but are OK for the quality.

Pros: homemade food

Cons: location, decoration

Delicious!

Our children bought us several gift cards for vegan restaurants for our anniversary. This was our second visit to Violette's and it was delicious. The food was interesting and tasty. Their carrot cake which was from Vegan Bites Bakery was outstanding!!!

Best Vegan Potato Salad Found Here!

3 1/2 stars, really. Potato Salad. Potato Salad. POTATO SALAD! This is my way of expressing just how much I LOVE their potato salad, which made me give them 4 stars instead of 3. Coming from Missouri, which has very "southern" roots and ways, I love a creamy, mayo-based potato salad, but had not been able to find a good one since becoming vegan. The search is over. As I ate my potato salad in my car, I contemplated going back to ask for the rest of their pot, tupperware bowl, etc. I need this in bulk! (They should sell it at Sam's or Costco!) Moving on...

I also got 2 orders of the Sassy Wings, but one order was buffalo sauce only. While the flavor of the sauce was very good, I wasn't a huge fan of the texture of their wings; they were too thick. I prefer a thinner, less "faux-meaty" consistency. They were just ok, to me. I ordered a side of their Fabulous Fries, which were excellent in flavor/seasoning.

I also got their Country Classic, which, per the menu, comes with crispy tempeh & tofu cutlets (1 of each), collard greens, mashed potatoes, and cornbread. Sounds like a proper southern meal. However, to my dismay, I ended up with a cauliflower, broccoli, and carrot medley instead of the promised greens. (I had hot sauce in my bag for those greens!) I didn't like the cornbread or the cutlets. I was disappointed, to say the least. The mashed potatoes were good though.

The carrot cake that I ordered was delicious. I was supposed to get a free Red Rockin' Chili with my Yelp check-in, and she even marked it as "Used" on my app, however, it was MIA from my to-go bag.

I may not have had the best experience with all of the food I ordered, but I still really like this place. The vibe was mellow, light auras, friendly worker, clean and welcoming environment, and the prices are fair. It's in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking, and there is signage everywhere... On each corner for each intersecting street and on the front and back of the building, which was extremely helpful for me as I was looking for it. I will be back to try other menu items, and of course, for more tater salad.

Pros: delicious potato salad, spacious and colorful, plenty of parking

Cons: missing food items; double check your order

Absolutely Amazing Food

I went in for lunch today. This was my first time dining here. The decor and atmosphere was very nice and cozy. I ordered Backyard BBQ sandwich with a side of black bean salad. I was very pleased with what I had chosen as both were delicious. The menu is extensive and there is so much left that I need to try. My one complaint if I had one would be the pricing. My lunch cost was just shy of 17 dollars and I didn't even order a drink. If it the pricing was dialed back by 15 percent I think there would be much more frequent visits...certainly by me.

Pros: amazing food and menu selection

Cons: expensive

nice vibe, great service, good eats

Recently enjoyed the Vegan Mac n Cheese and Vegan Chocolate Cake (my favorite thing there when fresh). They have really bumped up their dessert options, including Vegan baklava. I also like there smoothies ( I do NOT like that they are made out IN the dining area - SUPER noisy) and the new addition of "shots" - like little nutritional healthy boosts. Think the shot I had was lemon, ginger and cayenne. My waitress (Jessica) was super friendly and very knowledgable about the menu. Top notch service (had not been my experience in the past with other waitresses). The vibe here is great. Hope to see more unique things added to their menu in the future, and more emphasis on organic and local.

Pros: desserts, decor, Jessica

Cons: blender out in the dining area - too LOUD

We will be back with the kids!

My husband and I tried the wings- yummy with a touch of spice. My husband had the burger upon recommendation and I had the teriyaki love bowl with quinoa. We were both delighted with our dish. My husband said this was his favorite vegan burger out!

I Like The... Iced Tea!

I had the fries cooked in rice bran oil, I never had anything cooked in rice bran oil it was good. The iced tea was delicious and I recommend it to everyone. I saved the lemon scampi for dinner and it had a lot of vegetables, which is good it’s very healthy. My boyfriend got the mac n cheese, it had really big noodles which is nice and I tried a noodle and it was creamy. The menu has a lot of variety and I like that, if you're visiting Las Vegas I think this is one of the restaurants to try.

Ridiculous wait and over priced

I wanted to love this restaurant. I looked forward to eating there, but we decided to take food to go. They told us it would be at least 1/2 an hour, probably 45 minutes until we got out food to go. The items were grossly overpriced and I didn't feel like waiting that long so we left and ate at Kinaree instead.

Pros: vegan, west side, gluten free options

Cons: takes way toooo long, way over priced , haven't had the food yet because of the awfully sl

Good, original menu

I have eaten here a few times since the day it opened. Love the meals. Love the style of the restaraunt and its design. BUT, there are a couple of things that have a constant problem each visit - every visit. So it's pretty tough to determine going for the great eats and overlooking these problems.

1. They are ALWAYS out of something... The poor waitresses have to preface their intro with what they are OUT of on the menu

2. They do their juices n smoothies out in the customer area - NOISY! That belongs in the kitchen - period.

3. To many "chiefs". Seems owners or managers are floating around all the time. Some helpful, some not so much. In fact one man "in charge" there was berating a waitress in the kitchen, SO loudly, it was super uncomfortable. Disrespectful all the way around.

Those three things are regular occurances at this establishment. Food, btw, takes forever too.

So, I only rate this place because I like their food - BUT with other major players, like Vegenation, delivering top notch in all areas - it's difficult justifying a return to Viollette's and tolerating that regular lack of professionalism.

Pros: Good food, Variety, Waitresses

Cons: Long wait for food, Noisy Blenders, Unprofessional management

Good food, atmosphere, service

First vegan stop of our Vegas trip, glad we came. The Quesadilla is good, as is the Hippie Chick burger. Saw a lot we wanted to try, we may have to come back!

Just OK

I was super excited to visit this place since their menu looked wonderful. The first time my husband and I went, we went there for brunch. I ordered the pancakes (the wheat pancakes). When they came out, they gave me about a teaspoon of syrup for my huge pancakes. When I poured the syrup over them, the pancakes soaked it up like it was cornbread. I had to ask 2 more times for additional syrup as the pancakes were super dry. I'm not sure if they gave me the gluten free pancakes by accident. I wanted to give them a second try so after a long hike at Red Rock Canyon we buzzed over there and got there 15 minutes before they closed. They had 3 open signs present at the door but the waitress refused to serve us. This was strike 2. I gave them one last chance. Our third experience was for dinner. I ordered the tofu strips (appetizer) and the mac-n-cheese. The strips were OK but super over-priced. The mac-n-cheese was incredibly bland.

This place has SO much potential. It is such a shame they are not doing vegan food justice.

Pros: Vegan, Nice decor

Cons: Very bland, Food in need of improvement

Life's too short to eat mediocre food

I've been to Violette's twice now. The first time I had the burger with mashed potatoes and the second time the spaghetti with meatballs. The mashed potatoes tasted just like cooked potatoes with no seasoning at all. The burger is a little mushy ball that has to be smashed down to help cover the big round bun it's on, not very flavorful. The spaghetti sauce was ok but the meatballs were mushy with an odd taste. This place has the appeal of being gourmet but needs to improve the taste of food or it won't be open long. I don't want to see it fail. I cook almost all meals in this household which are vegan. The food has to taste good or it gets thrown out.

Terrible Service

I want to love this place and I have tried it numerous times with the hopes of them finally getting it right! Every time I have been there people walk out before getting their food????? The service is beyond slow and the food comes out either cold, over cooked or sloppy. The chef needs to figure it out, they obviously have not run a restraraunt before.

Disappointing

I've gone twice now, and both times the service was awful, the food was room temp, I could make most of what they serve better myself, and both times (coincidence??) I didn't feel well later...They could be okay-isn if they train their servers better and served food hot. I dunno, if it's still bad next time I try, I'll probably never go back. The biscuits are the only thing I liked, if I had to recommend something!

Pros: biscuits, nice menu

Cons: mediocre food, slowww service

Definitely check this place out!

I am really impressed with Violette's Vegan. I ordered the Italian pasta dish with meatballs and garlic bread, they were the best vegan meatballs I've had to date! My husband ordered a burrito plate that they served delicious cashew cream sauce on. Definitely check them out, I'm sure you will enjoy the artwork and ambiance as well :)

Pros: All vegan, Friendly wait staff, Nice decor

Awesome Vegan in Las Vegas

My husband and I went to Violette's for breakfast this morning and it was wonderful. As a vegan,it is so great to go out for breakfast and actually have a huge choice of what to eat. My husband had the breakfast blt, which was truly amazing. I had the breakfast wrap which would ave been great, had I not been abel to compare it to the blt. The coffee was great too and the service was wonderful. After asking to see the dinner menu we are actually going back tonight .

Great healthy food

The food at Violettes Vegan is fantastic!

I love Indian food and most often, there's dairy in this type of food. Not much vegan Indian food around! I do still eat diary on occasion, but when I eat out, its nice to have the vegan option. So when I went to the opening night for dinner, I was happily surprised that I could eat a healthy version on my favourite food! There was so much of it, I ate the rest the curry bowl next day! Nice sized portions.

I highly recommend this place for healthy versions of food from your youth or/and from your meat eating and diary drinking days! LOL. There's something for everyone, even if you're not vegan or vegetarian.

Pros: Freshly made food, Prices are great, Portions are a good size
