A simple vegetarian eatery with good variety - Edit

At Bugis, Vegetarians are simply spoilt for choice! This is simply a vegetarian heaven, just in Fortune Centre this building housed more than 10 vegetarian eateries. Nowadays, many people, vegetarian or meat eater too, go for Vegetarian Food.

Vege Pot located at Fortune Centre (level 2), has a good variety of choices Hard for me to decide what to order. Anyway, I went for Vegetarian Penang Prawn Mee @ $5.5, as not many places can do vegetarian Prawn Mee well and I want to try this in this eatery.

There is one place where I love the Vegetarian Prawn Noodle soup base, but it is located at the hawker centres in Hougang The price is very reasonable but doesn’t have what I would love to have – Kang Kong Veg or Pawn Mee Special Sambal chilli would that added oomph factor to the soup.

Here, presentation look good, serving is big and quite delicious. Just that, it isn’t spicy as I thought it should be. Will be back to try other food they serves.

different drinks - Edit

The decor is nothing special but the meals are tasty and inexpensive. Liked the laksa. Some nice interesting tasty hot drinks (pumpkin barley white fungus; green bean almond).

Pros: friendly place, inexpensive, no mock meats

A break from the norm - Edit

We went here for lunch after browsing the menu several days before hand and after having a chat with the owner. Unlike most of the non-meat stalls in the Fortune Centre, Vege Pot does not specialise in fake meat only vegetables. The decor inside is not very inviting but the owner and staff are very friendly and were able to explain the menu in a lot more detail to us when we asked. Unfortunately some dishes and juices were unavailable, which was a shame. We decided to order the soup, hotpot and a noodles dish, which was accompanied with salad and a free side of curry. I particularly liked the purple yams within the hotpot and the curry side. The dishes were nice and good value but were not the best dishes we tried during our trip. Well worth a visit if you want a break from mock meat though.

Pros: Cheap, Friendly staff

Cons: Uninviting decor

great local food. - Edit

we shared four dishes between us and not all were to my taste. I do have to say it's rare you have four dishes that were so different.
I had lunch today, this was the total opposite, freshly made Food, they had run out of a couple of dishes, but still had plenty left. each dish felt healthy,. veggies and well cooked.
the noodle dishes were hotpots and huge, the rice dishes came with salad and broth.
a bargain for the price.

Pros: staff, fresh food, price

vege pot - Edit

this relatively new eatery in fortune centre is supposedly good for bak ku teh and its noodles (mee sua, assam laksa, curry mee), but we chanced upon it after lunch and only tried their very cheap and delicious cheap cold-press juices. friendly boss/staff. will be back for meals.

Pros: cheap but limited choice of cold pressed juices
