Mama Patissrie - Edit
This place isn’t entirely vegan, so I’ve submitted an update request to HappyCow to remove the 100% vegan label. MP was offering several cheese products. Initially, the staff didn’t provide a clear answer when I asked if the cheese products were real cheese or vegan cheese. Later, they suggested that if I was vegan, I might want to skip those products. I found this very off putting.

Vegan bakes - Edit
Except for the cheese products, all other
Read moreproducts are vegan using soy milk. Products with eggs are labeled. Taste of sesame was not too strong and dough was soft. Had a nice earthly tone with walnut as the centerpiece.
Subtle taste of matcha in the dough with a surprise chestnut in which melted with the red bean filling. Both the bakes had mild sweetness. This is definitely one of the best I've had.
Pros: Matcha red bean walnut, Sesame bun

most buns now vegan! 😍 - Edit
as of march 2026, their buns (which were previously made with dairy), are almost all dairy-free. items containing egg are labelled, and the staff are well-informed on which ones are vegan, so you can confirm with them (:

Mostly vegan - Edit
When I came to "Mama Patisserie Bakery" I was approached by the owner. She kindly told me everything was vegan, because no eggs or cow milk is used. The cheese, pork and shrimp bread uses fake cheese, pork and shrimp. But after the painful silence the owner then pointed at some rolls and said those might be less vegan than the other items. So, this place is mostly vegan.
Read moreTo keep it safe, I chose the walnut and red bean rolls. They're all well made and easily meet the standards or larger bakeries that have outlets all over town. However, compared to European bread the products here should be considered snacks and not meals. Even the whole wheat bread is low the fibre and fluffy (reminding me of Japanese bakeries). For an interesting snack, this is a decent place to go.
Pros: tasty bread
Cons: vague distinction between vegan and vegetarian

Friendly staff, limited options in the evening - Edit
Few items out of stock when I visited in the evening. The friendly staff outlined the vegan options they had in stock, also recommended to come by around 10am for the best freshly baked selection. In general, they seem to have a lot more eggless options compared to limited selection of fully vegan options.

Mama Patisserie, Singapore - Edit
Only Kapnor and plain baguette are vegan according to the lady here. Both are labelled vegan. That's a shame given how wide the non-vegan choices are.

Extremely Limited and Disappointing - Edit
I don’t think I was quite prepared for little there would be to choose from here. The options were literally baguette or coconut cake slice (as all other sweet and savoury items contained milk), so I opted for the former. While it did deliver on flavour, it was very dry and far more of effort to eat than I would have liked.

Hope there can be more vegan bread - Edit
I really like their bread but hope they have more vegan choices, now most of their bakes are eggless but not free of dairy.

Good vegan coconut cake - Edit
Bought two cakes - one is a vegan coconut cake while another is a banana cake. The latter has egg so I pass it to a friend. He says it is not overly sweet. My coconut cake is surprisingly good. Recommend it.

Nice. - Edit
Very little vegan options as compared to the great variety of non-vegan breads on offer. Owner seems friendly.
