Delicious authentic Czech food - Edit

Had the dumplings and smoked tempeh on suggestion of the server. Really good. Would recommend you get cranberry sauce on the side. Very good service.

Pros: Vegan paradise!

Cons: On the pricier side but well worth it!

Excellent food in breathtaking location - Edit

My partner and I were in Prague for four days and we came to this restaurant five times. I love trying their traditional Czech dishes done Vegan style! Definitely make a reservation to be sat on the patio upstairs. That view is to die for! Our servers were also so friendly. I recommend this to all my friends traveling to Prague and am so excited to return soon!

Used to be better - Edit

We used to come to LoVeg (what this place used to be called) every time we went to Prague - even if it was just to have some sweet dumplings for desert, but when we came yesterday the name had changed and unfortunately with it the dumplings. The presentation and the taste weren't sadly as good - we will however give it another try for lunch or dinner...

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Food less good?

VegansPragueRestaura 12 May 2018 - Hello,

thank you for visit and review. We are very sorry that you didn t like our home made sweet dumplings (its our original recipe). We are not the same restaurant its only same buliding. Next time if you dont like something just tell us we can change your order or cancel it. We always ask twice if everything is ok: first when you are eating and second time when you are paying

Sincerely

Lukas

Very friendly staff! - Edit

We came thirty minutes before closing time, but that was not a problem - and it wasn’t crowded at all. The potato goulash I had needed some more salt and pepper. I liked the grape lemonade.

Great traditional Czech dishes - Edit

We happened in the restaurant walking down from the castle. The restaurant is the top two levels so it’s quite a walk up the stairs. We sat outside on the small terrace and enjoyed the rooftop view. We had a carrot-ginger soup and tried traditional Czech entrees. It was all delicious! The servers were very friendly.

Nice vegan restaurant choice in Prague! - Edit

We was there on 4/8 for lunch and were ushered by friendly staff to the upstairs table where the view from the window is beautiful. My choice was traditional potatoes goulash which is vegetables soup (mainly potatoes, carrots, onions) with a good taste! This dish really warmed my stomach and body since I got a cold and had a running nose at that time. I will visit here next time in Prague and are willing to recommend this place to others.

First and last visit - Edit

If you don't have limited budget and don't mind oily foods, you might enjoy eating here. For us personally it was a disappointment. Gluten-free burger is more less very oily patty with potatoes (no bun), the taste didn't convince me either and on top of that I had nausea. Thai curry was not worth the price either, you can definetely get cheaper (even bigger portion) and much tastier one at other places.
The only positives we found were professional staff and really unique and cozy furnishing.

Pros: Unique architecture, Professional staff, Nice view

Cons: Overpriced, Small portions, not that tasty, Oily, doesn't taste healthy

VegansPragueRestaura 18 Apr 2018 - Hello, thank you for your visit we are very sorry that you didnt enjoy our food. It s a pity that you didnt say anything when you were here(we always ask the customer if everything is Ok twice, once when he is eating and second time when he is paying), if its not Ok we could immediately change the order or cancel it when you were paying. Thats our policy. I think we re not expensive our main course start from 190 Kč - 270 Kč (less than 10€- 11€max) if you check other restaurants in this area you will be very suprised how reasonable we are ;-) Sincerely Lukas manager

P.S.: you posted the same review on google so i posted the same answer, i didnt know your czech

Vegan Czech food! - Edit

Like the previous reviews say, really great food and super service at this vegan restaurant. I splurged and got a starter, main, dessert and a glass of wine. Came to around 600 ck, which is a little on the expensive side, but well worth it when it means have traditional Czech food that has been made vegan. Highly recommend!!!

Pros: Great food, Amazing service, Great selection

Cons: Many stairs to climb

Delicious Meal - Edit

I went to this restaurant on a very cold and snowy March evening with my non vegan friend. She got the lasagna and I got a burger. Both were absolutely amazing. We finished by sharing a traditional Czech vegan dessert. The price was very affordable and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend visiting the restaurant if you come to Prague.

More up-market dining - Edit

This was slightly less cafe style as we’d found with several vegan places across Prague, and had a more traditional restaurant feel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Quite a few steps to get into the actual restaurant but it is worth it. The price also reflected the vibe, and was more in the mid range, with our starters costing 134-145Kč and mains costing around 250Kč. I loved that they served traditional Czech food so we ordered the potato goulash and “beef” in gravy with dumplings which was made with tempeh - so delicious! They also make an amazing cashew cheese which we had with our starter. Highly recommended!!

great place - Edit

I was pleasantly surprised to find out the food is actually more delicious than it looks like ( looks great either). The staff is very kind, the atmosphere is prepossessing. Definitely recommend this place, especially in the summer time, since there is a terrace on the roof with a great view.

Pros: delicious food, kind staff, can pay by card

Cons: you have to go up the stairs on the 3rd floor. No

Nice Atmosphere, Great Food - Edit

The location of the restaurant is great: Just by the castle. The staff was very nice an explained to us the soup and the burger of the day. We ordered as starters: soup of the day (vegetable with buckwheat), bruschetta and avocado tartar. Everything was great, but especially the bruschetta with tomato and homemade cashew cheese was delicious. As main we ordered Gulasch and Svíčková. The Gulasch was very nice, but also a little bit too spicy for my taste. The Svíčková had tempeh which went along great with the sauce and the sweetness of the cranberries sauce. The dumplings were also exellent and very filling.
I highly recommend this restaurant because of the delicious food and the overall traditional chec atmosphere.

Pros: Traditional food, Good location, Delicious food
