vegan highlight in Prague - Edit
There is a good selection of different dishes, all of which were very tasty. The staff are extremely friendly. One thing to note: there are lots of stairs, which could be a bit challenging for some visitors. Overall, however, it is a highly recommended place for vegan food.

First time in Prague - Edit
It is so wonderful to go somewhere and be spoilt for vegan choice.
Read moreWe decided to try Vegan's first and we were not disappointed.
We shared cashew cheese starters (amazing and smokey) and Hummus, both really tasty.
I had the Goulash (of course) Better half had the special, I can't remember what it was but it was superb!!
We shared and apple pie too 😲
We had a wine each and a beer.
All in all it was superb and just a taste of things to come ...

Update 10/2025 I was really disappointed today because the taste of their Svickova dish really took a downturn. It was nothing like the many times and years before. Downgraded from 5 to 3 stars.

Worth the uphill hike! - Edit
Second time coming here in 6 years and it still is exceptional! We had the cashew cheese to start. it was interesting and possibly some of the best cashew cheese I’ve had. Next we had the dumplings, stuffed dumpling, and goulash. All 3 dishes were phenomenal. My non-vegan partner was raving about the steak and dumplings for our entire trip. We ended the meal with the “honey” cake that was absolutely perfect!

Great Czech food - Edit
As a vegan, I often struggle to find places to try real local food when I'm traveling to a new country. Vegan's Prague does exactly this! The perfect place to have authentic Czech food that's also cruelty-free. And really tasty too! Absolutely recommended if you're craving goulash and dumplings or if you simply want to discover what the local culinary scene has to offer.

Vegan versions of classic Czech dishes - Edit
We went there on a Saturday evening and were a little late as it was the day of a public road race so that the trams were not running, at least not the one we wanted. I am sure the walk did us good and built up an appetite. As others have said, the restaurant is halfway up a fairly steep hill towards the castle. And, when you get there, there is a long staircase before you reach the restaurant and most people choose to go up another floor although we stayed on the lower level, where it was quieter but perfectly pleasant.
Read moreThe food offered is similar to look at as the dishes you can find in the tourist restaurants. I started with the soup and then had the "beef" and dumplings, whereas my wife had a Caesar salad to start with and then the lasagne. In fact, her salad was so large that she could not eat all the lasagne but the staff were kind enough to wrap the remainder and we took it home.
My soup was fine - perhaps a little greasy but perfectly acceptable. The beef and dumplings were fine too, if a little dull but that is probably true of the original on which it was based. For dessert, we had the fruity dumplings and chocolate tort, both of which were great.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and I have no hesitation in recommending it as a good place to go. There are many vegan restaurants in Prague but we were happy enough to chose this
Pros: All vegan, Good desserts, Very friendly
Cons: Food very good but not exceptional, Some people will find the stairs difficult.

A perfectly charming nook - Edit
This is located a few minutes’ walk from Prague Castle, and it was the perfect place to rest after hours of touring. As an accessibility note, we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to the restaurant and 1 flight to our seating area (no elevator available that we saw); navigating to it was easy, as it was clearly labeled. Both levels of the dining areas were lovely. We ordered a hummus starter with add-on raw crackers made with buckwheat, a cappuccino (usually made with oat milk but they proactively switched to soy milk to ensure GF), zucchini lasagna, goulash, and a slice of the raw cake of the day (chocolate carrot). We honestly couldn’t pick a favorite dish, as everything was delightful. It was a treat to have a traditional (veganized) dish such as goulash available, as many vegan restaurants have limited variety. Our entire order was GF and vegan.

7.5/10 - it kinda cool vibe trad Czech food - Edit
If you don't sit outside it just feels like a normal old European building but the skyline view can be kinda pretty.
Read moreThe food here varied significantly I tried my friends zucchini lasagna and it was incredible but I ordered Svíčková and it wasn't my cup of tea but I'm not a massive fan of Czech food in general.
The vibes with the waiters seemed slightly off but I think that's because my friend and them suprised me with a cake on my b-day which was a really special moment thst I'm grateful for.
