It would be 5 stars if it was just a bit cheaper. But holy crap. Atmosphere A service A food A . I got a burger that had blue Mayo and a neon pink bun and I was as impressed with how it looked as I was with how it tasted. Amazing. This is super lgbt friendly and it really was amazing atmosphere and food. A must see when in Barcelona.

Really enjoyed the food,, however I told my husband that I could see it sat on the pass waiting to be brought to our table. Not bad for me as I had a salad, but the burger and dirty fries were cold.

The service was so bad, they laughed at us while we ordered and was in such a hurry to get back to sweeping the floors in the half empty restaurant, that they barely had time to bring us our drinks. The fries were okay, the burgers were cold and we sent them back. Then they brought the same ones back (still cold) and we sent them back again. It was very expensive so I wouldn’t recommend spending your money here. Instagram friendly, but cringe, hoax… so much better vegan food out there.

I contacted this place a while back and pointed out that, at least to my knowledge, refusing cash payments isn't legal in Spain (not to mention pretty much commercial suicide). I didn't get a response, but I see they're very active commenting here on HappyCow, so I'm going to let this review stay here for the time being in order to (hopefully) receive an answer with their thoughts and/or arguments.

Vegan Junk Food Bar is a cashless restaurant which means we promote the use of cards or such means to pay. Not only for the safety of our staff (because of the risk of robberies etc) but also for environmental reasons; cash has a much bigger environmental impact to handle (printing / transport / handling).
You are right when you say that we are legally obliged to accept cash payments but that doesn’t mean that we can’t promote it. If someone insists on paying in cash, that is always possible but we have very little to no change in house.
From our experience, this isn’t commercial suicide but the way forward to increase our positive impact on the planet. Hope that this explains things and that we hope to see you soon with us.

Gotta love a well thought through concept! Frim beginning to end, that's what you'll find at Vegan Junk Food Bar. Great food with combinations i never tried before.
