One of my best restaurant experiences ever - Edit
I went there for dinner on a suturday evening with a group of 15 people and the staff managed it to serve nearly all dishes at the same time while being incredibly friendly. Since we ordered and shared about 12 different dishes I was able to try a huge range of different food and everything tasted heavinly! Especially the mushroom stew, the thai curry and the starter plate were highly recomendable.

Really good hungarian vegan food, I do love it. But prices are already high, they then add on the service charge and still ask for tips! Then! the most recent time I went they brought me still water without me asking for it and charged for it. Again, food is good (coffee not very) but I just don’t think I will go again when they’re doing this sort of thing.

The atmosphere is relaxed with outdoor seating, plants, and lights, which makes it a nice place to hang out in the evening. It can get quite busy, but it’s worth it for the variety.

First restaurant in Budapest. Very cool waiter. Wide selection; we tried three dishes. Be aware that tap water is not free. We are French and assumed it would be complimentary.

Mitten in Budapest findet sich dieses tolle Restaurant mit einer großen Auswahl an Speisen. Wir haben wohl leider nicht ganz die besten Speisen ausgewählt - insbesondere das "Hungarian Style Sirloin" war leider sehr trocken und daher nicht so leicht zu essen. Andererseits waren das hausgemachte Thunfischtartar und die Gulaschsuppe sehr gut!

My favourite vegan restaurant in Budapest - A great place to taste authentic Hungarian dishes reimagined in vegan form! When we were planning our most recent annual trip to visit family, I thought I would now be left out from having all the dishes I grew up on. Luckily though I was mistaken 🔥
Read moreI had the Hortobágyi Palacsinta and the Bécsi Szelet which were both fantastic. I also tried a bit of the Brassói from someone else in my group and it was also great. We took some Krémes with us to have later, and they were incredibly true to the non-vegan versions I remember.
Since then I’ve been inspired to recreate these dishes myself at home and I’ve gotten fairly close, but I still have some work to do to live up to them!
Next time I’m back in Budapest, Vegan Garden will be the first place to visit on my agenda ❤️

Vegan restaurant with an impressively broad menu, ranging from Hungarian classics, via Italian food, all the way to Asian and Indian dishes. I had a delicious Hungarian mushroom stew with homemade pasta, and a cream cake.
