It’s Popular for a Reason

This place is very popular and well known for a reason, their ramen is amazing. I got lucky and popped in right after a rush so I didn't have to wait long but from what I hear from others, in most cases, expect to wait a while. I had a shoyu ramen which was hearty and salty. I really enjoyed the soy meat and aromatic oil.

Pros: Hearty ramen, Clean inside, Nice staff

Great ramen & service

Great ramen and service. I had the Karabon (less spicy) and my wife had the Kobonshan. Both were delicious. Communicated clearly RE: my peanut allergy which was greatly appreciated.

Great flavours, friendly staff

It is a small place, so had to wait for about 10 mins to be seated. However once ordered the food didn’t take long to arrive.

The soy meat plate was full of flavour and all the accompaniments with it were delicious.

Never had a beer with cinnamon on top, but will be looking out for it again.

You need to take the elevator. We had Gyozas, Garlic Ramen and the vegan meat thing, all was excellent!

Okay lunch

Very tiny place! Might be crowded during lunch. I was lucky to no waiting at all

The food was alright, can’t say that I loved something in particular, but it filled me up and I stayed with no hunger long time

In my humble opinion ramen there is overpriced, could be added more veggies really

Very flavorful. Great comfort food.

The food is really flavorful and is more like comfort food rather than cuisine. Highly recommend!

Vegan gyoza and ramen

You can find traditional Japanese vegan dishes here. They are very good but a little bit spicy and the portions are small.

so so vegan fair

I enjoyed the seasonal special mushroom and truffle ramen ok but my partners kyushu special had no flavour, just heat. seems overpriced compared to what you get elsewhere in Tokyo, born out by the tourists only vibe.

Strange flavors

Got the karabon and kobonshan. The spicy one was a little too spicy for my taste, the non-spicy one was much better but a little too heavy. The smell also was not too appealing to me? The fake meat was really good but the rest was just okay. Think it’s overrated just cause it’s vegan.

Really good but long queues

We waited 30-40mins to be seated at around 2PM on a weekday. But the food was really good, would recommend

Laksa and Juju Grill were excellent

We stopped for lunch after visiting the nearby Meiji Jingu Shrine and were fortunate to get a table right away. You scan a QR code to view the menu, which varies with the time of day. We tried the Juju Grill; a sizzling plate of soy meat and vegetables with a choice of miso or soy sauce, which comes with a bowl of white rice and a small cup of broth soup, and the Singapore Laksa. The grill, with miso sauce, was very tasty, and the broth of the laksa was thick, spicy, coconut creamy and just delicious. I had intended to order the raspberry mousse chocolate cake, but there were several people waiting for tables, so we didn't stay for dessert. I thought the main dishes were reasonably priced, but the non-alcoholic drinks seemed expensive. The gogi berry- pomegranate soda I ordered didn't have much flavor and came in a small glass.

Pros: Perfectly spiced laksa, Convenient location next to Harajuku Station, Helpful, English-speaking staff

Cons: Small seating area often has a wait for a table

Yummy and many options!

Good variety of foods.
Although there isn’t really a concept.
Ramen, quesadilla, burger… 😅
Easy accessible. It used to be quite easy to get a seat but now there are many tourists so be prepared.

Nice place

I had early dinner. Had to wait in line for a bit as the place is quite small. The order was taken when I was in line still, so it was served quickly. Nice selection and nice staff.

Just ok

I don't get all the 5 star reviews. The ramen was just ok. Wouldn't really come back for it. The atmosphere isn't great either. It's not worth waiting in line for. I had way better vegan ramen elsewhere. Good option, I guess, when you're in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to travel there.

Light lunch in a brilliant location

The ratings for this place were so high, and sadly it didn’t live up to the expectations! It was still a lovely lunch, but we’ve eaten in better/more interesting places in Tokyo on our trip. We both ate the tacos and had gyozas on the side, the vegan cheese with the tacos was lovely! It’s a safe lunch location if you’re eating in a large group who can’t decide on cuisine type as they have all the options!

Lovely vegan ramen

Went here and it was busy, like everything else in the area. The menu was fully vegan, and that's a big plus. I had a vegan ramen, spicy but still very enjoyable. I also had a "fish egg" (made out of quinoa) rice, but that didn't taste very special, but it was still nice. Service is good and fast.

Pros: Fully vegan

Great experience

You take the elevator up to the 2nd floor and it opens right into the restaurant. We arrived around 5 PM — it was already quite busy, but we got a table right away. I noticed that more and more people kept coming in after us, and some had to wait a bit for a seat.

The restaurant was clean and simply decorated. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I even saw them accommodating special requests at the table next to us.

Our food came out quickly, and the ramen was really good. I love spicy food, and mine had just the right level of heat.

I’d definitely come back again!😄

Pros: Clean and simply , Delicious food , Friendly helpful staff

Cons: Can be very crowded

Delicious vegan food.

Bistro Jangara has a wide variety of vegan food. Their menu is also in English. We had a lovely meal here. We ordered a juju grill and soy meat chasu, which was all very tasty. The staff/owners are all very friendly and helpful.

Scrumptious Vegan Ramen

A brief 3 minutes walk out of Harajuku Station and the Vegan neon sign calls you in. The hidden elevator entrance and you arrive to a sign with QR Code to view the menu (as in all Japan is common) and wait to be seated. We enjoyed the Buffalo Chickn, Potice fries, ans the spicy and non-spicy of the bochan ramen. EVERYTHING was delicious!!!

Pros: Assortment of dishes, Friendly Service, Quick food turnaround

Lots of other non Japanese options

Kids were over eating vegan ramen lol, thankfully this place had burgers and Laksas. I found the broth of my spicy dish quite good while the kids said it’s the best veggie/vegan burger ever?! I don’t trust them, but it was fast, tasty and easy to get in.

Pros: Options, Cleanliness

Cons: None

Small and cozy place to have vegan Ramen

Bit waiting time but all in all a nice place to have vegan Ramen. 4/5 because I think the broth of the ramen was not so flavourful.

Pros: Atmosphere , Staff

Cons: Broth of the Ramen was a bit flavourless
