Ok. Unclear vegan options.

Swung in here for a quick bite to eat. The options were a bit hard to parse due to not using clear vegan friendly labeling. As others have stated, not everything plant based on this menu is vegan.

I ended up ordering a falaffel wrap(I think) after checking with the staff about allergy information. They pull up a binder with info on each option and it seemed vegan. Pro-tip: You can do this at a bunch of chains in Japan such as Dotour.

The food itself was ok, but obviously nothing too crazy. Decent price and good for a quick bite if you know your menu option ahead of time. Probably won't stop here again though; mainly due to the poor labeling.

newly reopened but

this location has probably been my least favorite for food court. the 50 yen vegan soft serve is great, among a few other vegan options, but the food was cold and lacking here. I think this is currently the only location with the wraps, so if you want to try it, it might be worth it. but you could probably find better wraps elsewhere!♡

English: order and pay at a kiosk so no stress

Payment: cash and cashless OK

Pros: convenient

Cons: noisy and busy, not the best food, some plant based items might not be vegan

50 yen soft serve!!!!

Soft serve for 50 yen!!! Best deal ever!
They offer two different flavors, regular and ramune.

Pay and get a ticket form the vending machine. You can purchase two ice creams at once. Get the ice cream from the counter.

They have a couple of tables to eat indoors.
Also offer plant based curry and cup of ramen.

Good, cheap plant based foods 🙌🏻

Ikea has been saving me a lot lately, since Tokyo is crazy busy, so the few vegan restaurants are always packet, the options are good, and cheap.

Not sure it's vegan

Couldn't find anything definitive saying it's vegan. In my googling, I found this page with these descriptions, though I'm not certain where exactly this applies.
https://www.ikea.com/jp/en/stores/restaurant/
We also found some sources saying that the stuff served with the meatballs isn't vegan, and only the balls themselves are (again though, not definitive).
I think we need to reach out to ikea Japan to get a definitive answer.

Not that good

I walked in here before checking Happy Cow and was dismayed after learning I ate non vegan.

Not worth it except the discount soft serve and coffee downstairs.

Vegan soft serve for 50 yen

I think that’s all that’s needed to be said.

Plant based options

Tasty and cheap but beware mislabelled items as plant based. We enjoyed the plant based kebab and karaage with plant based meatballs - note only the meatballs alone are vegan - not the mash and sauce. Vegan soft serve icecream was yum and cheap!

Pros: Vegan options

Absolutely YES

Great stop for something a bit different from back home. I tried the vegan curry, plant based hot dog and the pear soft serve - all were cheap and cheerful! Wish we had these option back in Aus. Would recommend just for fun! (The curry I got a shibuya)

Plant-based ball available, but not many options

Went there for a light snack . Compared to the Shibuya shop they offer a fewer variety of options but they have plant based balls with mashed potatoes.

Beware of non-vegan items with bad labelling

Vegan items at this bistro/restaurant are:

-Vegan karage (served in small cup)
-Vegan karage salad
-Plant based soft serve
-Soy or oat milk latte

These items are NOT vegan:

* Plant ball dish (served with non vegan gravy,
mashed potato and raspeberry sauce).
Only the actual plant balls are vegan.

*Small plant ball cup (served with non-vegan gravy,
mashed potatoes (contains milk) and non-vegan rasberry sauce). Only the actual plant balls are vegan.

*Veggie "plant based" wraps. All contain dairy products.

*Cinnemon buns (contain milk and egg ingredients)

Nice little snack spot

A quick pit stop as we waited for the rain to pass. We had their plant balls which were tasty and cheap. Also sampled their plant-based soft serve which has a seasonal flavour (kiwi at the moment). It was nice and served quickly at a very affordable price.

Be aware that some of their sets combine plant balls with non-vegan options e.g. Salmon. Don't pick the wrong option.

Pros: Plant based options, Convenient location

Cons: Limited options, Some advertised sets aren't vegan/plant-based

Happy to have options

It’s great that there are options offered. I especially like the plantbased “meat” balls which I use in the airfryer to make pasta 😋 have yet to try their in-house menu.

Strawberry ice cream for 50 yen was also good but I think the vanilla flavour would have been nicer (though this one was sold out…)

Karaage had good texture, juicy, super cheap. Plant-based ice-cream was also good, and just 50 yen!

Pros: Karaage, Cheap

Cons: Plant-balls were kinda average

Cheap & delicious

IKEA has lots of fun plant options, like chips, cookies, and frozen meatballs. In the cafe you can find vegan options like a soy latte and ice cream. We tried the vegan karaage. Just 200 yen and very, very good!

Pros: Cheap , Yum

Cons: Good luck finding a table at peak times

Happy to see more veggie milk options

Almond milk is so expensive in Japan, yet I was surprised to see a very fairly-priced almond latte on the drink menu -- around 350¥? Just a few yen more expensive than soy.

I was also very happy to see their vegan food on display/discounted.

Pros: Cheap vegan food to take home and drinks

Cons: Not many vegan options at the konbini/café
