beautiful

What a lovely joint! Everything is full vegan. And as well as a cafe with a menu and cabinet they sell some grocery goods such as snacks as chocolates, bars, chips, tofu, cheeses, ice creams, whipped cream, beauty foods, cook books etc etc. the menu has healthy options such as spelt bread with cashew cheese and rocket and tomatoes which was lovely!

Pricey.

Staff is a bit young, lacks social skills and knowledge about the product. Despite the small space, wide range of vegan products(mainly sweet) sometimes pricey.
A coconut shell/bowl, that costed me 2€ in Bali is sold here for 14€.

Pros: 100% vegan, Good Chocolate selection

Cons: Expensive, Not enough savory

Okay for lunch

The quiche is generous and tasty. But beware that there are no eating tables (only small side coffee tables) and there is no toilet!

No toilets, and a bit expensive

Nice to have a vegan coffee spot (and sort of supermarket) in Amsterdam. However, the environment in the place could be better. No greetings when you enter, and several signs that say "no toilets" are not really friendly or what you expect of a coffee place.

Ok.

I went here to get breakfast. There were not a lot of options to choose from and not much space to sit. The food was ok but it didn’t have much flavor.

Nice spot

Great spot to relax and enjoy coffee and snacks. I wish they could heat up their desserts even if it’s only with a microwave.

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, Vegan store

Cons: Can’t heat up food

More for locals than tourists

We went here for a quick lunch, which was adequate, but the main focus seem to be on selling everything for your vegan needs, from books to groceries. Awesome if you live here but not necessarily a place you need to seek out as a tourist.

Great spot

Lovely place for a quick bite, offering a range of sweet and savoury vegan fresh foods. They also have a shop in the same place where, among other things, you can buy vegan stroopwafels!

A brilliant vegan shop with small cafe

A few really nice cafe options plus a very well stocked vegan/eco shop. Options in the cafe include coffees and teas, sausage rolls, quiche, and bowls. Not super cheap but good quality. Can be very busy as difficult to get a seat. They sell vegan toiletries, food, condiments, frozen goods, accessories, and treats including Vego and vegan stroopwaffles.

Worst shop ever

I worked for them two summers ago as their principal vegan pastry maker and they treated me without respect. I found the worst vegan shop ever in Amsterdam and I decided to quit. Don't support this one there are wayyyy better shops in Amsterdam or surroundings.

Pros: NONE

Cons: Expensive, Not respectful employees, They only think about money

Great Vegan Store

Vegabond is a small store that is 1/2 cafe 1/2 grocery. The cafe menu features a vegan quiche, Dutch pies, energy balls, various bars, and many hot drinks. The grocery has vegan stroopwafels (not gf), chips, Dutch vegan cheese, cleaning supplies, spreads, and many more items. The grocery is fairly small but interesting. I loved this cute store and I’m definitely going back for more stroopwafels before I leave!

Pros: Entirely vegan cafe & grocery, Only vegan stroopwafels in the city, Large selection of vegan cheese

Cons: Small store

Vegan goodies and more. A must visit!

I couldn't walk past their cinnamon scrolls today. The store has a little outside seating, overlooking a pretty canal in a busy central area. The inside was lovely and packed with fantastic vegan goodies, as well as some souvenir-worthy bags and such. They had oat, almond and soy milk for drinks. I tried a scroll, take away. It was soft and tasty! Great texture and flavour, worth the stop!

Pros: Great menu and packaged goodies. , Multiple plant milks for coffee etc, Beautiful store.

Fast, nice portion sizes, fresh

They have a few “deals” for the cooked food and items in the store area to purchase to-go like frozen pizzas, fake meats, vegan mayo, fake cheeses etc. We liked the food and it came very quickly since it was already prepared. The food is behind glass so you can just point to what you want to eat and they will heat it up.

Comfortable and well-tasting

I really enjoyed eating there as it has a comfy atmosphere. I had a Queen Quiche and the Avocado Rolls a hazelnut brownie and a chocolate vanilla muffin and everything was amazing.

Pros: Wifi, Groceries to buy available, cafe + breakfast and lunch dishes (homemade)

Cons: no toilet, not that much space to sit (about 4 groups), no warm dishes (as I have seen)

Small cafe with limited options - OK Grocery

I stopped on excited to try the avocado rolls, but they were sold out. Limited options and it seems that you must get in early for full choices. Had a sausage roll and it was OK. Limited seating and no restroom, so it is much more of a store than a cafe. I was able to buy vegan stropewaffles!

Pros: Good grocery options., All vegan, so confident in your choices.

Cons: Limited options that can sell out., Small and no restroom.

Average

Got the avocado summer rolls and the hazelnut brownie. The avocado rolls were good and with delicious dipping sauce, only drawback was that there was so much mint in the rolls that you couldn't really taste any of the other veggies in it. The brownie was okay, very heavy and kind of bland. Overall I wouldn't go there to get lunch again, but the store was really nice with a lot of cool stuff which we also got a bit of to take with us.

Pros: All vegan, Fast service
