Bang average food - Edit
Food lacked flavour and unsure how much was actually fresh. I wouldn’t waste your time personally. We had the teriyaki quinoa bowl and Korean noodle bowl and added tofu. Nothing special.

Fresh and Deliciius - Edit
At the point we realized we hadn’t had a vegetable in ages, we decided to seek out the salad. They have a couple different options that are vegan, and the food was incredibly fresh. I didn’t realize how much I needed this meal amidst the other junk food that we had been eating.

Teuer und schlechter Service - Edit
Das Essen war wirklich gut aber überteuert.

Went back again and had the vegan double cheeseburger. It was sooo good! I love that they had a patty that wasn’t ”fake meat”. 5/5

Decent option - Edit
Always decent. The Korean noodles with tofu were flavorful but a little too salty and oily. I wish they had more vegan options - it's really only this bowl and a pizza. The drinks were good though

Amazing vegan options, but your crew will like it too. - Edit
Great atmosphere, bright, clean, modern. Plenty of delicious apps and meals for vegan and non-vegan alike. No compromising on flavor or culinary elegance. I started with the charred cauliflower with almond ricotta, dates, and pistachios and it was amazing. For a main dish, I had the vegan double cheeseburger with kale salad. Plant burgers are made in house and feature beets prominently. Really a superior burger.

Great vegan options with exceptional service - Edit
I recently had the pleasure of dining at True Food Kitchen in New Orleans, following a fantastic experience at their Scottsdale location. Once again, True Food Kitchen exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely amazing, and I have to say, the service was almost as good as the food, thanks to the delightful Caitlin who tended to my table. She exuded that wonderful southern charm that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to a dining experience.
Read moreWhen it came to drinks, I ordered an Old Fashioned, and they really know how to do it right here. The balance of alcohol was perfect, and the presentation added to the overall experience.
For starters, I opted for the cauliflower dish, and it instantly became one of the best cauliflower dishes I've ever had. The double vegan cheeseburger was delicious, although a tad heavy on the sauce at this location. The patties were cooked to perfection, and I appreciated that they weren't the "beyond" or "impossible" patties, but the excess sauce made it a bit messy. However, it was still quite enjoyable. The Kale salad, served as a side, is a must-try. The dressing used worked wonders in balancing out the bitterness of kale, turning it into a dish I couldn't get enough of. And since their roasted potatoes are also fantastic, I couldn't resist ordering a side of them as well.
True Food Kitchen in New Orleans lived up to the exceptional food experience I had in Scottsdale, and this time, the service took it to another level. It's a great spot for us vegans, especially when dining with friends who aren't plant-based. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting, and I hope you have the pleasure of meeting Caitlin during your visit.

5 stars for flavor and service - Edit
I know happy cow reserves 5 starts for fully vegan establishments. But I would rate this spot at 5 stars. My husband got the teriyaki burger with the vegan patty. Best plant based party he’s ever had. I got the teriyaki quinoa bowl and it was delicious. My girls had the Margarita pizza and had them replace the mozzarella with their lemon almond ricotta which was delicious. For dessert we got the pink lime tart and the cookies and ice cream (yes the ice cream is vegan). Everything was amazing. The service was too notch, the restaurant was nice and clean and airy. Would definitely eat here again.

So many super healthy, scrumptious Vegan, Vegetarian, & Gluten-free options!!!! - Edit
I found this restaurant by googling "healthy New Orleans Restaurants" and found a listing of "15 Healthy new Orleans Restaurants That Won't Make you Hate Life", lol. There are many Vegan and Vegetarian and Gluten-free options at this place, they are all labeled, and the staff is very knowledgeable and readily mentioned substitutions for some of the dishes that had things I can't eat / don't want to eat. I decided to get the Teriyaki Quinoa Salad (no substitutes were needed). It was chock full of veggies. I was extremely happy about that. Finding cooked substantial veggies is not easy to find in Mississippi (I was visiting New Orleans for the day). My dish had: broccoli, rainbow carrot, bok choy, green bean, snap pea, pickled shiitake, avocado with the quinoa. The taste was so amazing that even though I had always found bok choy a little too savery for me and can tolerate, but never craved quinoa, I love it all. I had Kale Aid to drink. I was so happy that no sugar had been added. Another reason I was so happy is that I can't tolerate spicy food and am gluten intolerant. Being in the South and especially New Orleans, spicy dishes are very popular. I wanted a full substantial meal and it was fabulous. Additional info: Reading the bottom of the menu, the restaurant is based on the principles of Andrew Weil, MD. While there are non-Veg items (animal products), there is an abundance of super healthy, tasty veg items. The wall in the photo has a multi-media sign covering it saying "Eat More Color".

Overpriced - nothing exceptional . not coming back for sure - Edit
We tried two days in the row to reserve and it was “full” always !
Read moreWe decided to walk in to see what was this place that had so much hype
We were received by a not very friendly lady, that said we couldn’t sit to eat here and only could take it to go.. fair enough, we ordered to go and another lady told us we could sit to eat our “to go food” on the high chair.. in the restaurant… they have several options for vegans, we kind of ordered one of each. Then they were out of burgers ( on a Sunday night, in a full restaurant)
They charged us but then they were out of tofu .. so they refunded us the extra tofu in our orders… and 5 min later, they figured they forgot to charge us for the pizza so they charged us back.. food arrived, the pizza is literally the size of a pita ( for $20) , the flatbread is 4 bites for $13 and the food wasn’t exceptional in any way. I give 1 star for a pretty creative menu but that’s it. The pizza was tasteless, the Brussels sprouts were very sugary and tasted like vinegar , the flatbread was ok.
Anyway, at the end, for 80$ for 3 with a kid menu, we leave very disappointed and going to eat something else in another restaurant to finish our dinner since the portions were that small..
Maybe if you like to eat animals, it’s great. But if you are vegan, pass along, it’s not worth your time, appetite or money.
Cons: Small portions, Expensive

Good choices and rare healthy place - Edit
We were able to get day of reservations easily online, and they had some really good options! It was also a rare place with plenty of healthy leafy dishes, which was a welcome break from the typical NOLA fare. Just be warned- if you don’t like spice, they do add some heat to most of the dishes that isn’t warned on the menu.

everything here is so so yummy. They have a seasonal menu concept so depending on the time of year you go you’ll get a different menu. Highly recommend the squash soup and the butternut squash pizza. Vegan items are clearly labeled on the menu. Lots of drink options too and such a nice plant vibe.

Top-notch place! - Edit
My friends and I visited this place a bunch of times while in NOLA. The atmosphere is elegant, and the food is healthy and delicious. The service is uneven; sometimes they serve you right away, though other times the very slow service lives up to the Big Easy nickname of the city. But the food is arguably worth the wait.

Summer Corn Soup! - Edit
Mixed menu with vegan, veg, gf, and meat-eater - good place for travel companions who aren’t necessarily vegan/veg. Everything sounded good and wanted to try everything. Ended up splitting the soup, which they had no problem making into 2 cups instead of 1 bowl. It was amazing! Also had the edamame guacamole, which was good albeit chunky with some whole edamame and avocado chunks. Then, had the teriyaki quinoa bowl with tofu, also very good and filling.
