Loved It!! - Edit
Sadly we had already ate lunch elsewhere but found this lovely place after visiting the abbey. We had the chocolate and orange polenta cake and a cuppa tea. Great for both me as a vegan and my gluten free boyfriend. I also took some cherry bakewell cake away which was also beautiful. Sadly we left that afternoon so couldn't come for an evening meal but it will be first on our list when we revisit. For breakfast, dinner and evening meal. Wine and all....cannot wait!! Also loved the feel and loom of the place

Great food - Edit
A lovely cafe to have lunch.
Read moreThey serve great food, the menu offers a decent range of options, from the classic burger to the obvious César salade, and more creative options such as fysh cake, bean stew, tacos with fried mushrooms, and even a ramen.
The place is nice, and the staff is friendly.
It was our second time in Bath, third time at The Green Rocket, and we will happily come back for lunch next time we visit.
Pros: Good food, Classic options, Creative options

Super food, so-so service - Edit
Our first visit here as we were looking for somewhere with plenty of indoor space on a cold day. We were not disappointed - both of us had the tacos which tasted amazing. The side of fries was sent to the wrong table and we had to wait a very long time for some more to be cooked, which meant our tacos were soggy by the time the fries arrived. Promising a venue which is wheelchair accessible was slightly inaccurate: there is a step into the restaurant from outside and the WCs are down a set of stairs. Overall, the food was excellent and we’d gladly go back - but the service could have been better.
Read moreUpdate (March 2024) - we've been back a couple of times since writing the above, and can say with reasonable confidence that our first experience was not typical. The service since has been great. We've had the soup of the day, which is *well* worth a try and great value. Tacos are still as good as they ever were.
If you're in Bath, go here - you won't be disappointed.

Excellent food and service - Edit
I was so happy to find a place with lots of great vegan food options! The food was delicious and beyond the usual vegan options that you would find in a restaurant. I would highly recommend the tacos, and they were gluten free too!

Amazing breakfast - Edit
We had the monster brekky and it was amazing. The scrambled tofu was probably the best I’ve had. Love that they added bubble and squeak. Non-vegan parents had the mushroom and cashews on toast and the coconut smoothie bowl. They both loved their breakfasts, too. On the way out I realised that they had vegan croissants for sale but I was too full to eat any more!

I have never left The Green Rocket feeling anything but delight.
Read moreWhen you visit The Green Rocket you can expect a vibrant and seasonal vegan menu that offers in-house cooked meals.
I ordered the Vegan Chicken Katsu Curry, which was full of squash and crispy vegan tofu.
The best thing about The Green Rocket is how I know that I'll always leave with my belly full and my taste buds satiated.

Small selection, but big flavour - Edit
I love restaurants/cafes like this one, instead of overwhelming you with choice, they give you a small, A5 sized menu, with a handful of starters and 6 (or so) mains to choose from, we picked whatever we fancied and got exactly what we ordered. Will definitely go back again, contender for my new favourite in Bath.

Food as always excellent. I had the soup which was carrot, coriander and celeriac. Decent portion size and really warming on a miserable day. Partner had the warm salad which was so tasty and flavoursome.

Not good - Edit
Really disappointed with this place after looking forward to it so much. My partner had the bubble and squeak which apparently was “ok” (Polite British for not good) and my Monster Brekky was really not good. The mushroom was barely cooked, the greens raw and chewy, scrambled tofu was tasteless, the toast had not seen any heat and the whole thing lacked seasoning. Service was slow but friendly.

Perfect Breakfast - Edit
We went in for breakfast and both had the Monster Brekky. I asked to swap the mushroom for avocado which they were more than happy to do. Really decent sized portion and everything was really flavourful. Probably the best vegan breakfast we've had in a while as was very unique compared to most classic brunch menus! We would love to go again😄Staff were really friendly and welcoming!

A Wonderful find in a beautiful City. - Edit
The Green Rocket Cafe is virtually next door to the Hotel Indigo where we spent the night. So breakfast there was the obvious choice. The extensive menu made choosing food difficult, but we settled for Bubble And Squeak with a side of sausages and Monster Veggie Brekky. The staff were amazingly friendly.
Read moreWe sat in a room by ourselves initially but were joined by two separate couples. Neither realised the cafe was vegan. They seemed happy with the food and drink but their conversation still turned to negative comments about vegans and Veganism. We washed down our breakfast with two lovely Chai Latte and made our escape, therefore avoiding any bad vibes.
Pros: Really lovely food., Very welcoming., Good atmosphere.
