A fantastic choice - Edit
Cafe serving all vegan. We ordered the club sandwich and the turtle power sandwich - both were AMAZING. I also had an oat milk latte with hazelnut which I would say is the best coffee I’ve had in America during our trip. 10/10 would recommend

Croissants! - Edit
Wow, haven't had Croissants since I went vegan. The chocolate croissant was excellent, I should have asked for it to be warmed a bit perhaps since the chocolate has hardened up a bit in this icy weather. That and hot Ginger Tea was amazing winter coziness. The almond ring was just divine as well.

I ordered a custom cake for my mom’s birthday and my non-veg family raved about it. I love spreading the vegan love!

Savory and Sweetpea - Edit
I've been here many times since they first opened in 2008. Unfortunately, it doesn't have that freshly-painted look anymore. The space could use a refresher, but the baked goods are still delicious. I usually just buy a treat, but today I ordered The Sweetpea Club...and a treat. I've never ordered this sandwich before, so I didn't realize how huge it is. It's so tall, I actually couldn't fit it in my mouth! Definitely enough for two people, or save half for later.
Read moreMy favorite treat is their Charlie Brown bar, but I chose a pumpkin pecan ring. This seasonal item was perfectly flaky and not overly sweet. Skip the doughnuts--they look better than they taste. They also offer a few gluten-free items.
Pros: all vegan, sweet and savory options, "Vegan Mini-Mall" location
Cons: a little dingy

Wonderful! - Edit
Stopped in while visiting Portland and it was so good! Finding vegan breakfast places can be so hard so I was happy to find this place! The coffee and the waffle I ordered were both very good.

If you’re in Portland you HAVE to go here. The baked goods/pastries are so good, and the sandwiches are really great as well. I have yet to find vegan pastries as good as these.

Everything Is Great - Edit
I went into the store during a trip to Portland and pointed to everything in the case. I tried the cinnamon roll, the orange cardamom muffin, the chocolate chip cookie, the Charlie Brown, the lemon rose scone — at least ten things. Unfortunately, I didn't get to all of them while they were fresh. But over the next day couple days, they were still tasty! I recommend everything.

Going in after covid was very depressing. Limited options just an hour after open and few people in line. These are the best baked goods! Please go and support!

A staple of Portland - Edit
Sweetpea is by far my favorite when it comes to a variety of vegan bakery items. I tend to get either the biscuits and gravy or the breakfast sammie. We also usually take home some cinnamon rolls or doughnuts. The space is so cute, and gives a very industrial feel.

Grabbed a salad and a chocolate croissant, yummy as heck. Very strong strong cold brew as well and the vegan strip mall it’s in is super cool. :)
