Sweetpea Baking Co

I had the quiche $5, which is a slice of eggless quiche with a hash brown crust and changed daily. Also the wirthles is really good as well. One biscuit topped with spinach, tomatoe, tofu, and hollandais sauce. Topped with a chocolate chip cinnamon bun. They were all amazing.

Pros: vegan, Affordable

Great vegn pastry

I found my favorite bakery in Portland.🥐🤍

It is all vegan and they have so many of my favorite pastry style treats.🥹✨ The croissants and danishes are a bit more bread like than super flaky pastry, but still so satisfying and delicious.

The pain au chocolat had chocolate inside and I think it would be even better warmed up.🍫🔥 The strawberry danish had the best jam and glaze, you can really taste the real strawberries.🍓✨ Nothing was overly sweet so I could honestly eat so many.lol 🤤

Next time I definitely want to try their food menu too!🌿💫

Consistent and delicious

I love sweet pea. I’ve been coming here years and it’s always delicious. The strudel, the croissants, the capuchinos. All so yummy and not terribly priced. Highly recommend.

Maybe the best bakery in the world

For my taste, the bagels and pastries and menu items are all pretty much perfect. The coffee was better in the heart era but that's a minor quibble.

Pros: Uber delicious, S Tier sweet and savory

Cons: Expensive

Delicious Food!

I had the Reuben Sandwich and it was made with homemade pastrami - Delectable!

When I saw the dish I thought it would be too filling, but it turned out to be just the right amount of satiation. It felt perfect afterwards😄

Staff was friendly.

Turtle sandwich

I ordered the Turtle power Sandwich, and my mom and sis ordered egg salad and chickpea salad and both said they liked it. I found my sandwich to be a little sloppily made and had too much sauce, tho the flavors were good, it wasn’t fun to eat and I didn’t finish it, it was just too rich. My sister did find a hair in her sandwich which makes things a little less enjoyable to eat. We also didn’t care for the pickle that was bright yellow, clearly still a cheap brand containing yellow number 5, why not do a nicer pickle if you’re a sandwich spot? The place is pretty dusty, shelves covered in dusty old artifacts that would be more interesting if they weren’t filthy. The place needs a deep clean. We ordered the chocolate peanut butter bar for dessert and that was very tasty. I’d come back but only for a baked good.

Great food and pastries!

Came here on a Sunday morning and it wasn't too crowded. Ordered a pastry (the almond ring), an almond milk latte, and a breakfast sammie. Everything was DELICIOUS! I could only get through about half the almond ring and half the sandwich but everything was just so good. I cannot say enough nice things. The staff was super friendly.
I also took a chocolate croissant to go and it was also delicious (even after a day).
Only negative thing I can think of is that it took awhile to get my food but I think that's just because I was hungry and impatient😄

My favorite restaurant

The food tastes really great and is really filling, they actually incorporate protein into the dishes. The sandwiches also come with a side salad.

Where do you get your protein?

Here. I came here for a pick-me-up lunch on a trip and ordered the tofu scramble. Now this. Is the BOMB. It's a giant mound of tofu scramble and tempeh bacon to top it off. Essentially a protein platter with some veggies in between. Delicious. I also shared their charlie brown bar which was stellar, a peanut butter lover's dream. The sandwiches they had were also enjoyed and the maple bacon waffles are a welcome twist on traditional waffles.

One of my favorites!

I have loved all the coffee, sandwiches, and pastries I've tried. I want to try them all, but the menu is extensive and the pastry case is huge! The pastries I've had (snickerdoodle, & tofu scramble croissant) have had the chewiness to them that I seek in pastries. The sandwiches are filling and fresh. The staff are great, too!

Pros: Extensive menu, Nice staff, Lots of seating

This is the place to pick up well made and tasty vegan treats. They also cater and do weddings.

No need to read labels and friendly staff. Bring back the Sunday buffet!

After getting your Sweetpea on...check out nearby Herbivore, Food Fight, and Scapegoat tattoo to get your groove on at this unique vegan mini mall...a must to any visit to Portland.

*chef’s kiss*

Came for lunch and could not be happier with what I ate! I got the Higgins (think vegan Italian) and it was so yummy. Came with a side salad. In addition, my group split a coconut pecan scone (soooo good) and their “Charlie brown” treat which was a chocolate, peanut butter, and graham cracker crust thing that was delightful.

The service took a little bit, but I think we hit them when a bunch of folks were coming in. Definitely should be on your “to visit” list!

Great Impromptu Stop

My husband was hungry and I wasn't so we stopped in here and I'm so glad we did. He got the Portlander-a huge plate of every yummy vegan breakfast food. I got a small chicken Caesar salad which was the perfect light meal, especially after I added a piece of the tempeh bacon from the Portlander into it. Kind staff, great vibe, lots of locals.

Pros: Tasty food, Varied menu, Chill vibe
