Delicious food, hit and miss order alterations - Edit

The burgers are unbelievably good here! Especially the new BBQ Bacon and the Aussie burger.

Only issue I have with soul burger is they never get my order right. The staff are friendly, but I think I’ve ordered the soul fries with sauce on the side at least 5 times and had them just put the sauce on it. Same with when I’ve tried to add something like cheese sauce or beetroot to a burger, the burger will just come out without the additions and I’ll have still paid the extra $1-2 to just get the same burger. It’s so frustrating and you get sick of having to ask for it again!!

Still go here all the time because the burgers fries and coconut shakes are so good and staff always friendly and accommodating when you let them know you didn’t get your $1 extra beetroot!

Pros: Filling/ good value, Hearty meal, Delicious

Cons: Never get additions because they will forget, Limited seating, Some seats uncomfortavle

Good but going downhill - Edit

My recent trip to SB with their new menu was a little disappointing. They got our order wrong (when we tried to order sauces on the side etc) which has happened many times before. The portions were smaller and the quality of the patties has been inconsistent. The novelty only goes so far.

Pros: Unique food options

Cons: too much garlic , inconsistent , not good value

Vegan Burgers - Good For the Soul - Edit

Delicious range of vegan burgers in a casual dining setting. Very convincing faux meats - would be a good place to take omnivore friends + family. Service was good with friendly staff. Pricing and portions were fair. Seating was limited, and the stools provided were somewhat uncomfortable to use over a prolonged period of time.

Updated from previous review on 2017-09-01

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, 100% vegan

Cons: Uncomfortable and limited seating

Better burgers - Edit

At last some decent vegan burgers! Enjoyed a Pulled Jackfruit burger and also sampled my friend's Cheeseburger; both were tasty, generously sized and filling. Good chips too.

Pros: Many choices, Tasty, Quick service

Cons: Somewhat pricey, Steak knife stabbed through burger

Tasty casual dining - Edit

Soul Burger often gets compared to Lord of the Fries in that both are plant based burger chains. But this fundamentally misses their clear differences in approach; simply put, the Lord is fast food, Soul Burger is casual dining. The Lord is competing with Oporto; Soul Burger with The Burger Hub. That the two are their sector's respective veg option does not put the two into direct competition. With that in mind, how does Soul Burger stack up as casual dining?

The answer is: Pretty good! Soul Burger's fare is tasty and well delivered; they promise 'backyard BBQ' style char on their burgers and I definitely got that (especially on the Chilli Beef burger). I'm particularly enamoured of the American Badass burger, which dials back the char a touch (which I'm less a fan of) and instead runs with a tangy mustard as the dominant flavour.

I'm a little less happy with the Soul B fries — I love the idea of a cheesy fries here, and the sauce is excellent. But this kind of thing demands bigger, thicker fries that keep their firmness — the fries here are cut too thin and get soggy.

Still, all in all, this is a fun place. Just know what you're getting into: Come here for a fun night out with friends before seeing a movie; not for a quick dinner before running to work. Take the time to enjoy the burgers here — they demand that.

Pros: Great burgers, with good ingredients, Really lovely char-grilled flavours, Friendly service

Cons: Fries should be thicker for Soul B fries

vegan tasty burgers! - Edit

I was not feeling all the best I order over the phone for take away! Burger was a little cold by the time I got home, however the food was so tasty even though it was only warm, I could only eat half as it was massive, highly recommend this burger shop!

Soul Burger - Edit

Tried this after going to Parramatta. The banana coconut shake was nice.
Had barbeque pulled jackfruit with slaw, caramelised onions and aioli and chipotle aioli? Was served in a white bun. Why not wholemeal? It was tasty and nice. Only dish that was natural. Rather the mock meat or fish jackfruit burger and smoothie came to $17:00. It has the HC sticker.

Pros: 100% vegan, Clean and airy, Busy place.

Cons: Uses all tvp based foods

Good burger but at a price - Edit

I had the Soul B Special - two "beef" burgers and an onion ring in a bun plus herb flavoured chips. It all tasted very good and was a very filling meal - but at $28 it's waaaaay too expensive.

Pros: Good range of burgers

Cons: The price !

Pricey but tasty - Edit

Love Soul Burger! Prefer the service at Randwick though. Usually tasty here. However, last visit, saw the cook take my mushroom patty out from the fryer and straight on to the bun with it dripping on the floor in between. The bun was drenched in oil.

Who needs meat when vegan burgers are that tasty! - Edit

As a committed vegan it felt weird asking for a "pulled pork" burger but it was so juicy and delicious it was worth overlooking the choice of words and if it promotes veganism to meat eaters it must be worth it. The jackfruit ("pulled pork") in all its juiciness was just as delicious as I had been told. The burgers alone are ample in sizebut the herby chips made a satisfying side that left me very full indeed. Busy place with fast turnover and friendly staff. Will be back to sample each burger one by one!

Great fast food choice for anyone! - Edit

The service was very friendly and we actually followed the recommendation of a previous review to get the pulled pork jack fruit burger which was delicious. As previously stated, the portions are quite filling so don't get burgers and chips unless you are pretty hungry. I shared a milkshake, burger and soul B chips with my wife and we were stuffed.

Pros: quick and friendly service

Get the jackfruit burger! - Edit

Delicious food, especially the pulled jackfruit burger, which had caramelised onion chutney on it. Only get chips with your burger if you are very very hungry - after a burger each and a milkshake to share, we were stuffed and could barely eat any chips. Which was a shame because they were really good and so was the creamy garlicky aioli they came with.
The only disappointment was that they don't sell beer yet (waiting for a liquor licence) even though it's on the menu.

Pros: big portions, everything is vegan

Cons: no beer

The Only Burger Place You Need - Edit

Amazing. The star rating says it all. The burgers are exceptional and creative, even Hansen's Halal (HSP) is perfection. If you don't enjoy mock meats then you should have one of the more boring ones like the Mushroom Burger (still good though!)

Pros: Mock meats are on point. You can totally customise

Cons: A bit pricey, but worth every penny.
