I found the food to be good quality but lacking in Indonesian food that has more flavour. This will suit people who can't handle spicy food. I was hoping for more spicy flavour here but didn't really taste it.

Read moreThe food is fantastic though, I genuinely can't fault it and I've had every single item. Because it's a buffet it is extremely good value.
This is a must for any vegan in Ubud.

It feels like you’re eating in someone’s living room! They have a completely vegan buffet with almost everything also being gluten free! There are many options: a small salad bar with dressings, cooked stuff with vegetables and proteins, desserts, water etc. It’s all you can eat for 50k. Or take it away. You’ll get a box that you can fill with things from the buffet, also for 50k. The food was delicious! #Veganuary

I went to this restaurant a lot over the past two weeks because it's the closest vegan eatery to where I'm staying.

There are little gas heaters under the buffet (not a pro that it's using gas) that keep the food warm
Wide variety of dishes from salads to cooked food
Price was 50k for the buffet (the sign behind the counter read 75k so I suspect it will increase in the high season)
Cons:
There is no door covering to the entry of the wash room area and many of the tables are directly next to or looking in on it.
The food doesn't vary much from day to day, *maybe* one or two different dishes at best
I didn't find the food that tasty if I'm honest, if it wasn't close to my accommodation I would have only visited it once rather than nearly a dozen times.
Not many sweet/dessert options - they didn't have any ice cream as a previous commenter mentioned.

Cons: Day to day variety (very little change), Lack of desserts, View of the loo imposing on tables

A lovely buffet experience with plenty of healthy dishes that are cooked perfectly, and offering a variety of flavors and fresh veggies. The price is unbeatable too (50 rupiah for all you can eat). Highly recommended!

Good food, and good price. I liked being able to try all the different foods and the soup was good especially if you add the noodles to it. I loved the mini muffins. Although I was a bit surprised by the temperature of some foods but maybe it’s supposed to be like that! Also I did only go in the morning within an hour of opening so I’m not sure how it varies throughout the day. Would recommend! I went back a few times!

Unfortunately when I visited, the food was lukewarm and I found a hair in my dish😒Then I read other reviews on Google maps and other people have found hair too so I don’t recommend this place at all. There are many other places in Ubud you can visit instead

My partner and I stopped by to fill a tupperware box eac for takeout (from the all you can eat buffet - 50K). The food was delicious and there were many different options. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Will definitely come back to eat in as well

50k per person (for one hour). We both had full plates of food for lunch. And I’m sure people with bigger appetites could really make the most of the buffet offer. 😋 Only wish we could have taken some for take away too!

Ate here quite a few times during my weeks in Ubud and would recommend it strongly. For 50k (as of this review), you get an all-you-can-eat Indonesian vegan and gluten free buffet. Don't let the simple atmosphere fool you; Sawobali is worth a visit. Or ten.
Read moreThey have many options that get changed often. There's soup, some salads, red rice, noodles, various tempeh and tofu dishes, skewers, mung beans, eggplant, long beans, several deep fried foods, and more. There are also a few desserts in rotation.
Water is free, but they also have an assortment of other beverages for sale if you'd like.
The only downside is the likely risk of eating too much.

Found Sawobali restaurant near my Guesthouse and really like the food options here. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming as well as the buffet. The price you pay is well worth it. Appetizer, main meal and a small dessert.
