Unbeatable - Edit
The offer is unbeatable in Ubud though it lacks in taste imo.
Read moreI ate better food but here I was able to taste a wide range of different things and it's still a recommendable quality.
The durian cake though was excellent. No additives, only durian some cream and coconut 😂

Hair in food - Edit
Unfortunately when I visited, the food was lukewarm and I found a hair in my dish😒Then I read other reviews on Google maps and other people have found hair too so I don’t recommend this place at all. There are many other places in Ubud you can visit instead

Great buffet - Edit
Very nice, affordable buffet, you pay just 50k for all you can eat. There’s good variety of Indonesian food, as well some fresh veggies to make yourself a salad. There’s also a dessert included.

Everything tastes so good and fresh. Lots of veggies in the buffet. Soup, salad, condiments, mains, even bite size dessert treats. Yum!
Read moreAla carte options only include drinks and desserts (previously offered ala carte mains are not offered).
50k per person (for one hour). We both had full plates of food for lunch. And I’m sure people with bigger appetites could really make the most of the buffet offer. 😋 Only wish we could have taken some for take away too!
Overall delightful food and flavors. Would definitely come back!
Pros: Delicious and fresh food, Lots of variety , Good deal
Cons: No ala carte options

Favorite restaurant in Bali. Good vegan food, excellent value - Edit
Ate here quite a few times during my weeks in Ubud and would recommend it strongly. For 50k (as of this review), you get an all-you-can-eat Indonesian vegan and gluten free buffet. Don't let the simple atmosphere fool you; Sawobali is worth a visit. Or ten.
Read moreThey have many options that get changed often. There's soup, some salads, red rice, noodles, various tempeh and tofu dishes, skewers, mung beans, eggplant, long beans, several deep fried foods, and more. There are also a few desserts in rotation.
Water is free, but they also have an assortment of other beverages for sale if you'd like.
The only downside is the likely risk of eating too much.

Found Sawobali restaurant near my Guesthouse and really like the food options here. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming as well as the buffet. The price you pay is well worth it. Appetizer, main meal and a small dessert.

The food isn’t spicy, but you can add spice if you want to.

Incredible Value - Edit
At Sawobali you fill your belly with salad, entrees, and desserts for 50,000 Rp (the cost of a small plate at a bule-owned restaurant before tax & fee).
Read moreLocally-owned, Balinese-centered foods, all-you-can-eat buffet, budget-price… there’s nothing to complain about.
The fresh salad bar, flavorful curries, and rich fried foods were my highlights. Trying each of the cassava- and rice-based desserts was a sweet opportunity to engage with Balinese food culture as a vegan.
You can also purchase juice, smoothie, tea, coffee, ice cream, and cheesecake. The passionfruit icecream was creamy and dreamy, but I found the cheesecake to lack the thick creamy texture and rich flavor I expected.

Don’t think I’ve been anywhere before with such a contrast to what others are saying vs how it actually is.

Then my latte (at an additional price eventually comes out).
