Kelantanese Nasi Kerabu “Chicken” Percik is a must try!!!

I’m so happy to found my favourite home town Kelantanese taste, Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik but vegan version!!! The “ayam percik” taste soooooo goood, so yummy! They use lion mane mushroom and is so juicy!

Pros: Good taste, Nice environment, Western and malay local taste

Cons: Expensive, Few sitting place during busy hours

Delicious food, friendly service

We tried Savor twice and enjoyed it both times. They seem to be working hard to please.

We tried several Malay dishes, the lasagne, and a few desserts, and everything we had was tasty and wholesome, though we would’ve preferred brown rice instead of white (hopefully they’ll offer brown in the future).

Service was friendly and helpful.

Self service restaurant

Did not enjoy our visit. Was self service, needed to get our own cutlery with each dish. No spoon to serve dishes, happened with every dish we ordered. Ordering was painful with the waiter trying to help but not doing a great job. Food was bland and boring, not worth a visit but very expensive. We also were attacked sitting indoors by mosquitos. Food potions were unexpectedly small. Watermelon desert was insultingly bad, frozen crushed watermelon with two pieces of mint leaf on top.

Pros: Atmosphere was nice

Cons: Small food servings, Bland food, Expensive

Delicious, but not cheap

Huge menu with starters, mains and desserts ranging from Asian to Western food! Delicious, but prices are on the higher end. I’d say it’s worth it due to the foods taste!

Delicious meals, large menu

We used to get their food delivery service quite a number of times, so we were excited to see that Savor has a restaurant now which we can dine in :)

The menu has such a wide offering from local food to Western offerings. This would be a great place to bring my friends and family as there would be something for everyone.

Food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Shepherd's pie and the Laab Nam Tok.

Place was tastefully decorated. Nice ambience.

Staff were courteous, attentive and helpful.

Street parking in that area can be a bit difficult on weekdays so the best place is to park at the Souled Out parking. Or there's also an basement parking for RM2.50 an hour at the time of writing at the building nearby.

I was concerned when I saw the word honey on the menu in their smoothies but they assured me it was vegan. Later they informed me they used Radiant Agave and a product called "classic vegan honey" by Rightside.

On my second visit, I asked if they could make my Nasi Kerabu oil-free. They said they could bake or blanch but it might change the taste. I was really happy they made it with no oil - yay!!

Pros: Large menu - something for everyone, Courteous and attentive staff, Open to making dishes oil-free

The server showed me the "wildflower honey" as it is written on the menu, this after I asked him to check with the kitchen. He told me that it doesn't come from bees which I verified was false by looking up the product bottle he showed me. Then the owner responds to my review to say they put the vegan honey in the bee honey bottles for easy access. Absurd. Would have been better to just apologize and change the product. But lying to customers is just self-sabotage. What else are they lying about? Rightside's honey, by the way, comes in an easy to pour and dispense container with a built in spout. Couldn't be easier access. Also it's not called "wild flower" honey nor does it come from flower nectar as it is primarily sucralose (from potatoes). I know because I bought some. Notice that they use "plant-based" and not "vegan" in all their marketing. It's a dead (bees) giveaway that ethics and animal rights are not part of their agenda. Super sad. Hope they fix this and certainly hope they stop lying to vegan customers.

NOT VEGAN. NOT PLANT BASED. PAYS TO ENSLAVE ANIMALS

Such a sad first review, hopefully a learning experience for everyone at this "insect and plant based" restaurant. I didn't learn much of anything, because I already knew you can't trust anti-vegans selling food to vegans, but I did learn that it doesn't really matter where you are in the world, the evil human head of animal exploitation will rear itself to mock and deceive vegans-- for profit.

I looked over the popular items online and saw a salted-egg dish. So I wrote and a representative replied that this was chickpea flour and they are "100% Plant Based." On arrival, my server asked me if I was vegan and said they get a lot of vegans there, I said that seems reasonable.

Then I looked over their expansive/expensive menu and something caught my eye. "Wild Flower Honey" on one of the smoothie bowls. To confirm with the server, I asked if it was from bees or perhaps human processed nectar. He said not bees but he would check. He came back in a few moments and said the honey came directly from plants and not bees. He showed me an image of the product on his tablet. He pointed to a green logo that indicated halal and said that meant vegan which was absurdly condescending while stupid.

For posterity, I looked up the product myself. Yup. Directly from flowers, collected by bees, into their pollen sacks, vomited up and processed in liquid by fanning it with their wings and then stolen by humans with millions of animal casualties in the process. The most direct route possible.

I told the server that I would bee-leaving to go somewhere else and I did. Can't trust "plant-based" capitalists. What burns me up the most, was the guy knew I was vegan, was happy to lie to me, and even happier to sell me and watch me consume something that violates my beliefs. Typical animal abuser.

Hope they live and learn, that just because the bees can't stand up to the abuse, deception and exploitation, doesn't mean that their human comrades won't.

Firstly, we want to assure you that all our honey is sourced from vegan and ethical suppliers, adhering to our commitment to plant-based principles. We do not support any form of animal exploitation, and we are dedicated to providing a menu that aligns with the values of our vegan community.

We are a small business working earnestly to learn and grow, and we deeply apologize for any oversight in providing you with accurate information. Your concern about the honey's origin has prompted us to reevaluate our communication procedures.

Honey is neither ethical nor vegan by definition and certainly isn't both. Feel free to post photos of your updated plant-based honey products (as the one I was shown by your server is not vegan) and I may chose to update my review, but am unlikely to return or share my information as being lied to is sadly both too common and an irreparable offense. I spend money for meals prepared by others only to support vegan businesses. Vegans do not lie to sell food for profit, it's the antithesis of our mission. Good luck.

We acknowledge the lapse in communication at the front end and take full responsibility, committing to providing more comprehensive training for our team to ensure accurate and transparent communication. We appreciate your commitment to supporting vegan businesses, and we share the same mission. In the spirit of transparency, we are updating our documentation, training materials, and online platforms to prevent future misunderstandings. Additionally, we want to clarify that the vegan honey, Vegoney Classic Vegan Honey, is poured into containers for easier access. Your feedback is invaluable, and we look forward to the possibility of serving you better in the future.

Your server showed me the bottle. Now you're trying to convince me that you pour vegan honey into non-vegan honey containers for easier access? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

We understand the importance of transparency, and we would be more than willing to address your concerns. Could we arrange a meeting in person or over the phone? The owners would like to explain and gain a deeper understanding of your feedback. Our commitment lies in serving the right ingredients, and we strongly advocate for the benefits of a wholesome, plant-based, vegan diet to combat lifestyle diseases. There was no intention to mislead, lie, or cause harm. As a restaurant still in its early stages (only three months old), we value your current feedback and assure you that no non-vegan honey will be served. We kindly ask for your understanding as we continue to make improvements.

You may message me in the app to arrange a private consultation on business ethics and honesty, but I will require payment up front as you have already given me reasons to be mistrustful. 🤣
