Great vegan Sweet Bagel - Edit
I was searching for some Small stuff for breakfast and Sanseveria was located near me. I went there and had an Oscar, a Bagel with biscoff cream and apple pies. It was sooo tasty and I loved the combi.

We had the avocado and aubergine bagel. It was tasty and fresh, but overpriced for what it was. You have to pay €1 extra to have a very small amount of balsamic glaze in the bagel, which feels tight given that there aren't other sauces/flavourings apparent in there.
Read moreFor us, the menu is quite limiting and uninspired. Travelling around Belgium and France this trip, if there's ever a vegan option it's usually avocado-based, so for us the avocado-heavy choices here weren't exciting.
Bruges seemed lacking in vegan options that were open on a Friday lunchtime, so we were glad to find this place.
Quirky decor, interesting place to sit. Service was speedy.

Visit Jan 2024: several vegan options clearly labelled on the menu. But nothing extraordinary.

Small place, feels crowded.
Accessibility: one small step to get in. Not a lot of room to manoeuver inside.
Forgot to look where the toilet is.
Service: swift, although it wouldn't hurt to smile 😉 not very welcoming.

This is from a visit in 2016.
At that point, vegan options weren't labelled as such on the menu (they are now), and the owner didn't know whether the bagels (bread buns) were vegan or not.
So we had a salad, which was nice, but not that culinairy exciting. And 15,50€ was a bit steep.
Afterwards I did receive confirmation from him that the bagels are vegan.
There are now two vegan bagel options on the menu, and two salads (including vegetarian, which can be made vegan).
Meanwhile, Sanseveria Bagelsalon has opened a 2nd location in Ostend as well (same menu). (Update: this has closed again)

Note: this place is very popular (mainly among locals) and has limited seats. I went here for breakfast during my stay in Bruges as it opened early and had many vegan options. There are a wide range of vegan options so you could find any type of breakfast you want. I got a yoghurt bowl filled with fresh fruits and it was delicious. Nonetheless, I felt like it was a bit overpriced as I ended up paying over 20 euros for breakfast. But it is one of the best options around. Staff was very friendly

We got our coffees quick but then… we waited about 25 Min for our bagels, which basically where Bagel with some Spread and Cookies on them. Other tables, who ordered later, got their bagels before us.
We asked for them and earned an annoyed answer.
So we had to drink our coffees cold, when we finally got our bagels.
Another bad thing: They offer a vegan breakfast with a coffee of choice… but when you Order it you have to pay extra for plantbased milk.
The place is very small, there are to many tables in it. We did not feel comfortable.
Would not come back.

Cute place. Lots of fun objects to look at on the walls like an antique store. Had granola yogurt parfait which would have been enough food but I also got a bagel with speculoos butter, chopped apple, and speculoos crumble. If you are in Belgium you have to try speculoos!! It’s the law! We also got an apple crumble which I didn’t like very much and cappuccinos (of course) and OJ. Everyone very helpful and friendly. Fast service. Clearly labeled vegan items! Good location!

Nice staff, nice decor and lots of clearly marked vegan options. Unfortunately a lot of the options are very similar so it isn't really as much choice as it appears, and I didn't love the options. Felt the caramelised butternut squash with apple made my savoury bagel too sweet.

One of the main places to go, this is a colourful and enthousiastic breakfast/lunchroom. Serves bagels, salads, cake, and drinks. Vegan options are clearly marked and there are a couple of combi deals. Bagels are good, though maybe overhyped (due to hype), coffee is serviceable, better than regular cafes.
