weird experience - Edit
The owner is very chatty but not very transparent. We asked about the vegan pastries, and she got into a long tirade about how almost everything there is vegan, but more importantly without additives etc etc. I pointed a pastry, "I want that one", "oh, that one isn't vegan". So we asked again, she went to the back of the kitchen and talked a lot more about the options, but also said we couldn't stay inside the shop, so we were there by the door trying to understand all that she was telling us there from the back, also with the noise from the street. By then our heads were spinning and we just wanted to get something and leave, we understood we could get a selection of 4 vegan pastries from 10 euros, ok, we got the box to go and left (cash only, of course). The pastries were tiny and very sweet, but they were good. Too expensive for what it is, though.

A nice but expensive find - Edit
We ordered 2 spinach and ‘feta’ pies and 2 small baklava bites which cost almost 30euro. Both were ok, found the baklava to be drenched in syrup. Good to have vegan options in the centre of the city.

Good baked goods (high price) - Edit
There is a huge amount of vegan (and non vegan) baked goods. We choose a couple, although it’s not really choosing as being directed as to what you want. The owner scared me a bit, haha. We paid 22 euro’s for four items, which is a lot though. The food is really good though.

A MUST STOP - Edit
Wow, this was one of the best gems we have found in our travel through dozens of countries! The entire (adorably tiny) shop is GF, and they had 10 different options that were also vegan on the day we were there. There was a wide variety of flavors and sweet treats (chocolate, pistachio, etc.). Everything is made in a GF-safe facility, and the lady helping us was very knowledgeable about the products (e.g., she could tell us the different GF flours used in each dish). We got a wide variety of treats to sample, and it was nearly impossible to pick a favorite!

Beautiful sweets and owner - Edit
An amazing little bakery with lots of traditional sweets and savoury treats. Lots of vegan options (just check for honey) and everything I tried was super delicious. I took her recommendation for a few things to try and they didn't disappoint.

The most amazing baklava I have ever had. To the point where it’s kind of ruined for me now 😂. I wish I stocked up on her stuff before we left the island! We couldn’t find anything close for the rest of our trip

Very sweet sweets - Edit
Big vegan selection of pastries and super cute owner who has a great understanding of veganism and helps picking out the sweets according to taste and Budget (one pastry between 2,50 – 7€). We tried four different sweets with different flavours, still they tasted very much alike and were very sugary sweet – that’s not really my thing but I guess tastes are very different and I‘m happy I tried out this traditional place nonetheless!

Yummy but expensive - Edit
We ordered a variety of things which the owner helped us choose when she asked what our preferences were. She was clear about pricing and options. She has a good understanding of veganism. There was a sesame/hazelnut/chocolate thing that was super yum and also a really great pistachio cream baklava which I devoured. Definitely recommend but it is more expensive than other options in the area.

should have tried the spinache cake.. - Edit
The baklava was good, they had many different styles and they’re all vegan.
Read moredon’t ask the owner if there is honey inside - she will get angry 😂
the prices are a little intransparent as she said it goes from 1€ for the smaller ones to 5,50€ some of the bigger ones.
i had 2 big ones and 3 small ones with one espresso for 22€.
if you like baklava that’s the place to go. maybe ask on advance about the price per piece to not get surprised.
Pros: choices of baklava

Consider before coming - Edit
Rose, the owner is one of those people who are “mean in disguise of an innocent”.. as I came I asked her if there are vegan options after I read here something about it only being vegetarian with few vegan options, so I just wanted to make sure, she replied with a very under the belt answer (but with a smile and welcoming tone): “my darling, I’m 35 years older than you, I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN, OK?”
Read moreIt felt as if she’s trying to look down upon me.
The prices are really high and compared to a product that is just OK, in my own opinion ofcourse.. the sweets are way too sweet, like many others have mentioned here, and there are few savory items as well.. overall I wouldn’t come back just because of her attitude and the pricepoint.
