A good evening restaurant, serving Laos veg food. - Edit
Visited this in torrential rain, was the only customer, everyone else in Vientiane avoided getting wet! Good, small restaurant. The menu is dual English/Laos, with a good selection of tasty veg food. Lots of fake meat products, not my thing, but there if you want. Price, say $5 for a full meal. Hard to complain. Also sells veg food products. Recommended.

Authentic taste, very crispy - Edit
Family run restaurant which will soon have a second branch in Luang Prabang. Everybody was extremely friendly and welcoming. I had crispy sour pork as a starter and duck as a main. When I saw how oily everything was I was a bit scared about my stomach but I could easily digest everything. The taste resembled that of meat a lot and it was maybe the best mock meat I ever had. As a matter of taste I would have liked it more had it been accompanied by vegetables and had they added less oil. But I'll come back next time I am in town and try another recipe.

Wide menu of traditional dishes all made with fresh veg and mock meats. Food came super fast and was delicious. Fruit juices were made fresh to order. Range of vegan snacks and quick food (noodles etc) to buy and take away. Very affordable.

Decent. Lots of food! - Edit
Fully vegan cafe hard to spot as outside designed for locals not for western traveller market.
Read moreI’d like to see a few more dishes that didn’t emphasise the meat substitution - a bit more confidence perhaps on echoing local cuisine that usually features meat.

Small restaurant, open during Lao new year. Friendly owners/staff. So many food options! A mix of seitan, tofu, tempeh and other meat substitutes. Large portions. No alcohol, but do have alcohol free Heiniken.

Average Pasta - Edit
Tried this and took spaghetti with tomato sauce. Tomato sauce is not like in Europe, its more of a sweet and sour sauce. Not bad, but I would have expected a real tomato sauce like it was on the pictures.

Great food, atmosphere and service - Edit
From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we felt like appreciated guests and were taken care of nicely. The staff was caring and helpful and there was nice music playing. They mostly had mock meats and all we tried was great and big portion. Bit on a more expensive side though. Highly recommend!

Terrible greasy food - Edit
Seeing all the positive reviews, I thought I'd give this restaurant a try. The food in Laos, in general, has been very underwhelming to me compared to Thailand and Vietnam. This restaurant was highly disappointing and probably the worst food I've had yet on my travels in Laos. I ordered spring rolls and a tofu stirfry. The main dish tasted very soapy. The spring rolls were saturated in grease, and they didn't even bother to drain them properly that the grease was dripping from the spring rolls when I bit into them. They also appeared to have been refried a few times. To top it off, the lady or owner was sitting at a table behind me with some other people. They were all shouting loudly and also speaking with another person on the loudspeaker on the phone. It sounded like there was an argument but they were laughing so obviously not. It was super noisy and not a nice experience at all. I was the only customer in the restaurant. After I paid and left, I had to go to the pharmacy to get something for heartburn, which was triggered by the greasy good.
