Organic, Vegan-Friendly Grocery Store

As an American, finding vegan and organic foods was never a challenge. When I arrived in Berlin, Germany a couple of years ago, the transition was also very easy. The city has several bio (organic) grocery chains that are also very vegan-friendly. Then my husband and I heard about the 1€ houses offered for sale in Central Sicily and decided "hey that seems like fun, let's move to Italy!" As you can imagine, finding organic produce and other products in the heart of Sicily is not an easy task. However, having access to NaturaSì has been a big help. I always visit the store whenever I visit Palermo. In fact, I plan my travels around the store's hours of operation so I do not miss the opportunity. It is the only grocery chain that offers nutritional yeast too!

I enjoy its deli counter too. It often offers vegan Arancini rice balls and a cake or two. While Lidl does offer some vegan and organic products at discounted prices, its options are very limited.

Very good place to buy vegan organic food

This is the best for vegan and organic food in Palermo. The staff is capable and there is a good range of differente foods.
It also sells meat and not-vegetarian food, but almost everything there is organic.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good range of choice

Cons: None
