Nice place for an afternoon cup of tea - Edit
I only went in the afternoon to take a break with a cup of tea and something sweet, there were four vegan options, I had an apricot jam crostata and it was very good.
Read moreIt's a clean and comfortable space where you can take your time to catch a breath.
Our tea was on the expensive side but it was served with three homemade biscuits (we exchanged one of them which wasn't vegan for one that was, so better ask beforehand).
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Limited vegan options

Unique - Edit
We’ve been here twice now. Although there are no vegan choices on the menu, they would happily do vegetarian pizzas without cheese. I ordered a glass of Nero D’avalo and they opened a new bottle to pour me a glass. Whilst service was ok, only one waiter spoke English. All considered, I would rate the place highly for its healthy food choices & quality of ingredients

Good food, mediocre service - Edit
The vibe is more classy than we expected, so we were a bit underdressed.
Read moreThe menu is quite small and the vegetarian options were limited but the food is really high quality and tasty. The prices are okay but the service personnel wasn’t very friendly.
Pros: Good food, Clean environment

Good food but not so many options - Edit
There were no labelled vegan options on the menu, but the waiter told us the 3 tomato pasta, pizza and an artichoke dish could be made vegan. The pasta was delicious. My partner chose a vetarian pizza, they don't have vegan cheese, and the pizza didn't include tomato sauce. I found it a bit boring. The artichoke also didn't sound great as the cheese seemed to be one of the main ingredients.

Very nice restaurant - Edit
I don’t really understand the bad reviews. My experience there was really positive. The food was delicious. We had pasta and pizza and both were amazing. The service was excellent and I would go there again.

Buona colazione! - Edit
Mi sono fermata qui con una collega per una colazione di lavoro e devo dire che la crostata rustica con crema alla nocciola era deliziosa. Inoltre l'ambiente è molto carino e lo staff gentile. Ritorneremo di sicuro!

Also a Cafe - Edit
Can’t speak for the evening menu yet (though it looks good) but stopped by to ask for Vegan options and they had numerous cakes and pastries and all vegan milk options with good coffee!

Horrible - Edit
Yoghurt with panelle was real milk yoghurt, while they assured me that it is soya. When I said again that it’s not vegan yoghurt, they apologized that soya yoghurt was finished. Panelle was also too spongy, I suspect egg being in there. Second course: seitan was only grilled a bit and was cold and tasteless, zucchini was too sour, baked potatoes were soft and soggy.

Cons: They lie about dishes being vegan, Vegan food is just not tasteful

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. - Edit
‘Lactose free cheese’ is NOT vegan after the waiter told us it was soy milk upon questioning multiple times. Once the food arrived and my partner started eating the cheese, another member of staff informed us it was buffalo cheese. The waiter here deliberately lied to our faces and was condescending. Fully avoid this place.

Delicous coffee and some vegan sweats - Edit
Good choice of organic products, even a lot of german "Bio-Bier" (e.g. Lammsbräu). We had soy-milk Cappuccino (decoffinated), vegan cookies, vegan cake and vegan chocolate cream. Great taste! Highly recommended

Nice pizza - Edit
Ordered the vegetarian pizza without cheese. They gave me tomato sauce on it free of charge instead and the pizza was piled HIGH with delicious vegetables- extremely generous helping and really tasty.

Good food but pricey place with limited vegan options - Edit
Bioesseri is a very trendy place, with organic food in a nice decor. Everything is modern, the service is very professional and the whole experience is nice. As a vegan, I was just a bit disappointed not to see vegan options clearly indicated on the menu, but the staff was very helpful. Vegan options were, that evening, limited to panelle for a starter, to grilled seitan for the main dish and to two cakes for dessert. Everything was very good (not exceptionnal) but rather expensive for Palermo. A good but pricey experience.
