Friendly staff & good vegan food! - Edit
First of all, the staff are lovely, the waiter who served us was very sweet and funny despite a language barrier. I had the vegan lasagna (very good portion size). My fiancé had vegan burger and sweet potato fries. They serve alcohol. Okay price - a bit more than I would normally pay.

Best Vegan place I found in Jerusalem - Edit
Tried a few places and this has the friendliest staff, best variety on the menu and tastiest food. Lasagne was great! Also plenty of gluten free options and fresh juices.

Delicious vegan restaurant in Jerusalem - Edit
I went to Nagila with my parents and we ordered a quiche, Moussaka and the burger. Although my parents are not vegetarian or vegan (and frankly, they are even quite critical of both diets), they really liked it! The dishes were creative (e.g. the mildly spicy tomato sauce was topped with some date honey) and everything was well spiced. For dessert, we had some raw chocolate cake and Panna Cotta, which were both a bit disappointing due to their consistency (the cake was pretty hard, while the Panna Cotta was far too liquid to deserve such a name). Overall, I would definitely recommend the restaurant (the service was also nice and the location is pleasant).

Good Vegan Lasagna - Edit
I ordered a vegan lasagna which came with s small side salad. The lasagna was delicious. I thought the side salad had a bit of a bland dressing. Perhaps a bit more effort in the dressing would make a big difference. I ordered a blend of fresh juice. Could get a five if they put some additional effort into the salad dressing.

Tasty and healthy food - Edit
I ordered the Mejadra La J'ahdana after misreading black lentils for black beans. But it didn't matter as the food was super tasty and the sprouted lentils made it even healthier.
Read moreI ordered the carrot cake for dessert, but it took around 40 minutes for it to be ready. As another reviewer mentioned, it was actually carrot bread. But still it was quite tasty.
Pros: Decent sized menu, Friendly staff, Great ambience
Cons: A little on the costlier side, slow'ish service

Loved the little pie! - Edit
I really loved this place. The atmosphere is incredible. There is a small patio in front that has lovely outdoor seating. I ordered the Jamaican hand pie and it was incredible! It wasn't too spicy, and the vegetables were perfection. The salad was also good as well. Also make sure you order the white wine if you fancy a drink, it is delicious!

Not bad - Edit
Had dinner here and ordered the moussaka and the latkes. I definitely preferred the former to the latter. The latkes were not what I had in mind. These were thicker and rounder than those normally served in the US. A bit too soft and bland as well. For dessert we had the carrot cake, which turned out to be a misnomer. It was actually just carrot bread. They served it toasted, which gave it a nice crust. But still I thought it was overpriced at 32 shekels. Overall this is a 3.5 for me rounded up to a 4.

Tasty food - Edit
Really friendly staff and nice location and building. The food was very tasty, I'd definitely go back. The only issue was very slow service but they made up for it with free soup and tea so thank you very much for that! I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a family run, cozy style restaurant with very tasty food and a friendly, casual atmosphere.

Vegan Works at Negila! - Edit
I'm a serious carnivore. But I also like whole food, and try to avoid sugar and additives. And I love a good culinary adventure. So when my son's mother-in-law glowingly recommended Nagila, I decided to give it a try, in spite of the fact that there would be no meat nor dairy. I needn't have worried about any lack of depth of flavor. The moussaka was marvelous, made with eggplant, tofu, and a piquant sauce. The herb latkes were tasty, filling and generous, served with a delicious tehina sauce that could have passed for sour cream (with a hint of beet juice) anywhere. The very fresh salad greens did not disappoint. The surprise was the traditional Israeli summer beverage of mint and lemon in crushed ice. It was served with liquid sugar on the side -- so my mechutenet could have it slightly sweetened, while I enjoyed the refreshing drink with its full, unsweetened tang. The service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable, meaning that most meals tended to be around 40-50 shekels per person. We take friends to Nagila whenever we can, and plan to enjoy many family meals at this delightful establishment.
