Serves meat, vegan options available. Sushi bar and Japanese food restaurant operating several outlets - this one is housed in a re-purposed train building. Vegan options include rolls like the archer roll (avocado, bell pepper, tofu, asparagus, mango in nori wrap), the green turtle roll (sprouts, avocado, greens, tomato, cucumber, asparagus in a soy paper wrap), and basic rolls with avocado and/or cucumber. Other choices are edamame, chilled tofu, mushroom medley, house salad, kimchi & rice salad, seaweed salad, and a hibachi veggie platter with rice, grilled vegetables, tempura fried sweet potato (may be shared fryer), and terriyaki fried tofu. Miso soup can be vegan upon request. Be sure to specify vegan when ordering. Open Wed-Thu 4:00pm-9:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-10:00pm, Sun 11:30am-9:00pm.

It was an okay experience. Could have more vegan options. One of the rolls I got was pretty good, but like 20 dollars for a veggie roll is crazy.

They used to have a vegan menu, now they've gotten rid of it and nothing on the actual menu is labeled to make ordering vegan easy. Tried to order a veggie roll vegan and it came drenched in a mayo sauce, ordered the tofu hibachi vegan and it came with a side of mayo.

The food is delicious, hats off to the chef. The ambience is first class. The manager was very helpful. I’m not sure if it was my servers first day, but was not knowledgeable at all. I ordered vegan miso soup ,& his response was yeh I’m pretty sure it’s vegan already, you don’t need to order it vegan. Since my daughter in law was a server there I knew, one had to state vegan as the regular version was not. It went downhill from there but I stayed positive to have a good dining experience. The manager made sure my food was indeed vegan but please make sure all servers are knowledgeable of the veganiized version of things..

Vegan items are not labeled on the menu, only vegetarian. Not many options, although there are like 2 roll options. Food took a long time to get to the table even though it wasn’t that busy. Taste-wise, it was good, but nothing amazing.

My husband and I found this gem while we were passing through Kalamazoo thanks to Happy Cow. Clearly labeled vegetarian options, so we just had to ask about dairy/eggs. We had the fried tofu appetizer- AMAZING. You can choose sweet, spicy, or both - we opted for both sweet and spicy. It was absolutely delicious. We also had the Brussels sprouts- again, amazing. They said the udon noodles were made with egg, so we opted for the other vegetarian entree- very good. When we are in the area again, we will definitely go back.

I cannot day enough great things about this place. The vegan options were plentiful. The tofu was amazing and the rolls I had with tofu(cannot remember the name) was incredible. It may be one of the best sushi places I’ve been to in quite some time.

The wait staff was very helpful on their vegan options. They had a few vegan rolls and could even make some appetizers vegan, like the miso soup. Overall it was very good. The presentation was beautiful! A little over priced for simple rolls like the avocado roll, and it was very small for what you got. Overall I would go back for the speciality rolls!

This restaurant is so beautiful! Perfect for date night or for when you just have a sushi craving! They have a vegan menu online and a couple fancy rolls to choose from. The fried tofu is amazing along with the Super Mario roll and the Boogie Veggie roll! It is a little pricier than if you just got maki sushi but it's worth it cause the serving sizes are huge!

delicious fusion sushi and hibachi - Edit
While the options here might not be as healthy as one typically thinks of sushi as (tempura sweet potato, anyone? deep fried terriyaki tofu?) it certainly is tasty! The waiters were very good about letting us know what was/wasn't vegan (the miso soup is not vegan) and also good at explaining how to order, what comes in an order, etc. Presentation is often very important to me when it comes to food and there is no question that this place knows what's up. The food is so pretty I almost didn't want to eat it! But then I immediately did and loved every bite. We got sharing plate appetizers of edamame (with some kind of delicious large flake salt) and the mushroom medley. For entrees we shared the hibachi veggie plate (a HUGE portion) that came with rice (you choose fried or steamed), terriyaki fried tofu, grilled veggies, and tempura sweet potato. We also got the boogie veggie signature roll that came with radish sprouts, cucumber, avocado, kampyo, tempura sweet potato, and maru dressing (a sweet dipping sauce). There were so many vegan rolls it was hard to choose! You can also sub brown rice in the rolls for $1 extra. The interior is really nice as well with a repurposed feel to it next to the train tracks with vaulted ceilings, natural lighting, and different levels. They also offer a selection of special teas and cocktails (I got their house blend of green tea and my mom got some sort of strawberry basil lemonade cocktail).
