Amazing place

One of the best vegan place I’ve been. Food is delicious, portion are really big, the food is really tasty and greedy!

Amazing plant-based dairy, but skip the cheesecake

The cheese plate and dinner special of wild mushroom risotto were absolutely incredible! Not a fan of the cheesecake, though. Fill up on dinner and skip the dessert here 😊

Original and copious dishes

An excellent address. The ingredients are vegetable and local. There is an original work on the dishes, all tasty and copious, as well as on the condiments (mustard, mayonnaise, sauces). For starters we had tapas, then a burger and fries (I've never had a veggie burger with this texture and composition) and a "forest" dish (vegetable sausage with chanterelles from memory), and for dessert a sabayon. Everything was delicious. The team is very nice.

Une référence, un combo unique entre bar et restau vegan

Le Faitout fait partie pour moi des références. Il réussit le pari de s'imposer dans un quartier au départ bien isolé de la "Véganie" parisienne. Le gros avantage du Faitout est que c'est un compromis magique entre un bar - où vous pouvez donc donner rdv à vos amis pas encore végés (!!) sans rien leur dire sur le lieu😉- et un véritable restau avec de la nourriture entièrement faite maison et de qualité.
L'assiette fauxmage/charkut est un classique revisité façon cruelty free qui est incroyable. Pour avoir testé plusieurs fauxmages à pâte dure dans le passé, c'est un vrai plaisir de pouvoir en goûter des aussi bons. Récemment testé le burger et j'ai beaucoup aimé aussi ! Bonus : Olivier, le patron, est super cool et passionné, c'est lui qui fait tout. Sans mauvais jeu de mot. Une adresse qui fait partie de mes classiques quand je suis sur Paris :)

The Faitout has become one of my references and managed to settle in a district quite isolated at first from the Parisian veg places. The biggest advantage is that it is both a bar - where you can meet your not-yet-veg (!!) friends without even telling them about the place - and a true restaurant offering quality homemade food.
The sheese/mock meat plate is a cruelty free version of the french classic, a must if you go there. Among the fake cheese I had the chance to try, these were the best. Recently tried the burger and it was quite good as well !
Bonus : Olivier, the owner, is cool and passionate, he's the one cooking too. One of my goto addresses when I'm in Paris :)

Amazing and cozy

I spent a weekend in Paris and this was by far the nicest place I was. Food was super tasty and made with care, especially the cheeses. The waiters were super nice and warm. And the prices were okay for what it is and the place being in Paris. The drinks were also really tasty.

Good "cheese" - poor the rest

Came here with high expectation since rated as one of the best in Paris.
I must admit that the cheese plate was delicious but can't say the same for the other dishes, that I also found pricy. The service... we were invited to remove our masks without checking our pass sanitaire, owner (?) trying to be funny but failing, also talking a little bit to close to our plates and not very clean place.

warm welcome, good meals, terrace bit noisy

nice atmosphere, you feel instantly like this is your favourite local restaurant at home, thanks to the owner who's quite an original; for starters we had a cold meat / sausage platter, then black pudding (andouille) with vegetables & salad & fries, all really good; the desserts though were just excellent; and after having stuffed yourself you take a digestive nap in the nearby Buttes Chaumont parc ;-)

Pros: many home made products, tasty local beer on the tap

Cons: traffic noise (only terrace), this is Paris, prices are accordingly

Une adresse incontournable à Paris pour les vegans/végétariens!

Cela doit faire la sixième fois que je viens et je n'ai jamais été déçue. Ici, on revisite des plats traditionnels à la "sauce" vegan. La carte change régulièrement. Par exemple ce jour-ci pour moi: Tomate mozzarella au pesto, tempeh basquaise, fondant au chocolat.
C'est une cuisine réconfortante et copieuse, qui change des hamburgers!
Le patron, Olivier, a la discussion facile et toujours un petit mot pour rire.
Je souhaite longue vie à ce restaurant!

Amazing cheeseboard

The restaurant didn’t rely on processed mock meats instead making ones out of ingredients you can find at home like grains or tempeh, which I personally love. The soft cheeses on the cheese board were absolutely delicious, definitely replicating well the traditional Camembert or Brie. I had the grain sausage with a mushroom sauce and the waiter offered to put a bit of all the sides on the plate, which included roasted veggies, steak cut fries and a fresh salad. The sausage was super yummy and filling, I will definitely be coming back to try their tartare.

I love cheese, they love cheese, we all love cheese!

If you're in Paris and you're looking after a proper vegan cheese board, this is the only place to go. DELICIOUS STUFF!

Real vegan French food

Many choices for appetizers, small dishes and entrees. All vegan.

The cheese platter was great. It tastes like real, French cheese. It has a strong flavor, which is what I would expect from a French cheese! Great.

The fois Gras was ok, not as tasty. I’ve never had real fois Gras so I don’t know what to expect. It was quite dense. If I come again I will try other items on the menu.

Dessert - apricot tart was a bit sour.

Don’t miss this place!!!

Absolutely blown away by the food served here! We ordered a cheese and meat charcuterie board and the lamb stew. Never had vegan food so close to actual cheese and meat before, and the staff is so so friendly. Highly recommended!

If you miss charcuterie or would like to experience the closest thing to it I highly recommend! Lovely cafe vibes. Great attentive and amicable staff. Great funky “cheeses” as well as “meats”

Home made, local, and 100% vegetal

Located at 23 avenue Simon Bolivar 75019 Paris, this tapas restaurant opened at the end of November 2016 and offers atypical menus 100% vegan, homemade and mostly organic The restaurant very friendly with everyone, the restaurateur takes orders sitting next to you on a chair and advise you on a large menu on impressive and original slate, he has already set up several restaurants in France and this one is really worth the turn !
The mixed plates of homemade "cheese" and "charcuterie" are really a must to share a good time with friends.
Open from 8 am to 2 am, it allows you to spend moments: For a breakfast, a brunch, a lunch, a snack or a long evening. Or just for a coffee or tea

Fait toute, maakt alles lekker

Een van mijn favoriete restaurants in Parijs. We zijn hier meerdere keren geweest. De omgeving is ook leuk bij het Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. Faitout is alles wat je maar kunt wensen. Vriendelijk personeel, ontspannen sfeer en extreem lekker en originele gerechten. Niet van dat allerdaagse vegan eten.

Mad “cheese”–scientists

Le Faitout is such a warm and welcoming place! Wherever you’re based in Paris it’s worth to take a walk to this place a bit off the beaten path. They offer savory food made with lots of heart and I can imagine them working like mad scientists to make plant based cheese that tastes like the real deal. The wine and beer selection is outstanding and prices are reasonable. I’ll return whenever I’ll make it to Paris again!
