We had a hard time finding vegan food in Oaxaca. Le Campane offers vegan Soups, Salads, Tacos (with Soyameat) and a very nice Burger! There was no one in the the Restaurant but we (in december). Staff was okay. Place is cool! Would definitely visit again.

Transition to 100% vegan? - Edit
Looking at the menu here, vegan is given a preference in a way that I've never seen at a non vegan restaurant. The wait staff said they are in the process of becoming entirely vegan!!
Read moreThe menu is a mix of Italian and oaxacan dishes. I ordered the fried elote and spaghetti Bolognese. The corn was...what is the opposite of plump? Dessicated? I guess that's the nature of the fried corn. But it was served with a great vegan cheese drizzle over a lettuce and tomato with the most delicious vinaigrette (prob my fave part of the meal). The spagbol was typical, had a solid soy meat. It's inherently a reliable dish without ever being exciting. It was served with bread that was tasty and had the most soft, delectable texture. Be sure to double check, some items on the menu are marked vegan but are not...
I'm already looking forward to going back!
EDIT: I went back for a burger. It was gigantic on really nice bread, made with a delicious homemade patty. It seemed nutritious and really lovely to eat. Came with a side of fries which were great. The ketchup was a little liquidy but otherwise fine. It came with a little bit of vegan cheese, but I would have liked more condiments to go with the burger. Service was super fast, which was great because I was very hungry.

The staff here was very kind to me and my friend with the questions we had. I ended up getting the mediterranean seitan which had good flavors but the seitan was wayyyy too spongy for my liking, I also felt like the rice that went with it didn't match the dish. HOWEVER after dinner we split the desert which was a vegan tamale with berries, it was amazing and the texture of the tamale was almost fluffy. I highly recommend asking about the desert option if you go because that was the highlight of my experience there.

Highly recommend this beautiful spot: friendly people serving up a really diverse, tasteful and tasty menu! Some real delicious local recipes mixed with awesome takes on different cuisines! Really appreciated the surprises.

The cauliflower Tacos were okay, but really underwhelming compared to other vegan tacos I had in Mexico, we waited a long time and were served after many guests who arrived after us. Staff was incredibly kind.

Weren’t planning on going here but glad we did! They have a well-sized and clearly labelled vegan section. Got to try some great food - tlayudas and tamale with mole. Especially enjoyed the tlayuda, the mole tamale had an interesting flavour but was tasty.

The menu is well marked with a number of vegan options. We had such a nice dinner we can back again! The guacamole is really good, the tlayuda was like a Mexican pizza and well seasoned and good portions, both tacos are good, and tamale with mole was also good. Nice atmosphere with excellent service!

I wish we’d tried this place sooner. They have clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian dishes on the menu. There’s an even split of Oaxacan and Italian. I had the pozole and tacos al pastor (seitan). The lovely little patio is so cozy. And the staff were delightful.

Such a beautiful vibe this candlelit restaurant has. Great vegan options, including on the dessert menu. My son got the el pastor tacos, which had pickled onion, pineapple, and cucumbers on the side. I got the tlayuda with beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and vegan cheese. We couldn’t pass up the dessert option: a chocolate tamal. Wow, everything was delicious and the service was awesome too.

Lots of vegan options, soups, salads, desserts, pastas and local - most importantly all is marked very clearly. Prices are ok, noce music and garden to sit in. Meals were delicious. Dessert was wierd but only because we did not understand what we were ordering. Overall we had a great dinner.

A huge selection of vegan options and a great atmosphere to the restaurant! As some people mentioned, the prices are a bit strange- some things are a deal and some seem overpriced. But the quality and flavor of what I had was excellent. Will definitely go back to try more of the menu.
