Fabulous and stylish - Edit
What another gem for Bruges!! Fabulous little restaurant with such gorgeous tasting food and very friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed 5 of the tapas and each was so flavoursome and well thought out, we enjoyed every mouthful. The apple pie for dessert was just so delicious. Lots of choice of drinks too, really lovely cocktails and atmosphere.

Great food, nice vibe. Love it! All vegan now 😊 - Edit
Dec 2025
Read moreHad another nice dinner.
Tapas:
- Bruschetta 14€
- Croquettes oyster mushrooms 11,50€
- Mushroom burger 23€
- Flammkuchen 22€
Expensive. But very relaxed setting.
Nice to see the flammkuchen on the menu. A portion that fits my appetite and taste buds much more than the burger or sea stew!
Aug 2025
We had another lovely dinner. Swift service, nice vibe, great food!
Had appetizers: broccoli 14€ and buschetta 14€. Main dishes: stew of sea vegetables (24€), mushroom burger with potato wedges 23€, dessert: apple pie 10€ and steawberry pie 12€.
The main dishes and desserts are huge portions (next time we will split a dessert 😉). I wouldnt mind a smaller portion (for an accordingly smaller price ).
It's all vegan now. Great!
Changed from 4 to 5 stars.
---
Feb 2025 - Was here for dinner, with a reservation (advised).
Menu has some warm and cold appetizers (shareables) and main dishes, dessert
We saw a dish with sour cream and one with tzatziki on the menu, and (obviously?) thought they were not vegan. Also because an earlier review mentioned there was only one vegan main dish?
Turns out that ALL dishes are vegan (at least for the current menu) except for the dessert of that day (something with pistache?).
A bit confusing, and maybe the menu could clearly state what's vegan/vegetarian (or better still, just go vegan all the way 😉).
We had:
Appetizers (shared)
- grilled broccoli 14€
- nomet kombu krokettes 11€
Mains:
- mushroom wine stew with mashed potatoes 23€
- oyster mushroom burger 22€
The appetizers were really nice, the broccoli dish rich in flavours and spicy!
The main dishes were very large portions, I could not finish mine (my husband took over). The stew was very originally presented, with pointed cabbage on top. Nice touch, but unhandy to eat (trying to cut it just pushed it into the stew/potatoes). Burger was nice.
There was also a vegan dessert: apple crumble with whip cream 10€. Lovely but pricy.
Very nice interior, lovely cosy vibe, stylish, dimmed lights. Combo of chairs and benches (with some cushions available).
Very friendly service, and we didn't have to wait long for food to be served.
Restaurant room not acessible, several large steps to get in.
Toilets downstairs, didn't see an accessible toilet. Clean.
Gave them a Happy Cow window sticker. Hope they put it up!

Thanks for the comment! Indeed - because you and other visitors suggested - we go completely vegan now. No more excuses: everyting is plant of fungus based. Thanks!

“If I have food like this, I can consider becoming vegan” - Edit
Quote by my husband who recently became vegetarian. Such a nice place with delicious food! I recommend it! Also out of the box choices, not only the typical vegan option. You should visit!

Sea vegetable stew - Edit
I really enjoyed the food. I opted for the artichoke dip with garlic bread to start and then the sea vegetable stew for my main. The stew was particularly tasty. Portions are quite generous so I couldn't manage pudding.

Classy vibes, nice food - Edit
The service was ok, the waiter a little cold.
Read moreThe menu is original and diverse. We love that some dishes can come in different sizes.
We regret that for this kind of restaurant everything is not in season. For instance the seasonal soup of december is with tomatoes...
Oyster mushroom croquettes : delicious. We were surprised that the filling was a total puree, we would have expected some mushroom pieces for a better texture. Also the black garlic sauce lacked some intensity.
Flamenkuche with truffle salsa (small size) : delicious.
Oyster mushroom burger : very good however maybe the industrial cheese is not necessary as the burger in itself is flavorful. The plate is big as there is a good portion of fries and salad. Some veggies of the salad were not in season, that's a pity. Also the mayonnaise was a little bit bland in taste, it would have needed a kick such as more herbs, garlic or lemon.
Dame blanche : very delicious vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate and whipped cream . It was a very pleasant and comforting dessert to end this beautiful meal.
Overall it was a nice experience but taking into account the price and the fact that everything was not perfect, I cannot put five stars.

Cozy Place and Amazing Croquettes - Edit
A very cozy vegan restaurant with a chic appearance. It didn't take long to find out that one of the waiters was Brazilian, which was quite a pleasant surprise for us. We then placed all our orders in Portuguese!!!!! As a hot starter ("Tapas warm") we chose the croquette ("Nomet kombu-kroketjes"), which was incredible and it is a very typical dish for Belgians. For main courses ("Hoofdgerechten") we ordered the "Pasta" and "Oesterzwamburger" dishes. The dishes were very tasty and in good quantity. The only downside was the price, which was quite steep, but the experience was incredible. We left very satisfied.

Stylish Vegan Fine Dining - Edit
I was really looking forward to visiting Kosmopoliet, as it only opened earlier this year, and I always love seeing new vegan places pop up in the city. The restaurant gives off a stylish and upscale vibe – definitely a fine dining experience, but still relaxed and welcoming. The interior is modern and elegant, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit.
Read moreWe chose a table by the window, which also gave us a great view of the bar area and the small food lift where the dishes arrived from the kitchen. It was a fun and unique detail, and as tourists, we found it especially charming. The only downside was that the menu was only available in Flemish, so we had to ask for a few translations, but the staff were patient and explained everything clearly.
My friend ordered a Cosmopolitan, which felt very fitting given the name of the restaurant, and she really enjoyed it. For our starter, we shared the broccoli with red beet and lima bean hummus, topped with a South American spicy herb sauce. It was beautifully presented and full of flavor - a great start to the meal.
For the main course, I had the flammkuchen with vegan “shpeck”, truffle salsa, sweet red pepper, red onion, and arugula. It was rich and comforting, with a lovely hint of truffle. My friend chose a pasta dish with asparagus – I couldn’t find it listed online anymore, but it was seasonal, fresh, and very tasty.
We couldn’t resist the dessert and went for the apple tart, which was described as the “catch of the day” tart. It was warm, spiced just right, and the perfect way to end the meal.
All in all, this was a fantastic, high-quality dining experience. While it’s definitely on the more expensive side, I’d say it’s worth it for a special occasion or if you’re in the mood for something a bit more refined. I’d absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re in Gent.

Good Flammenkuchen but the mushroom hamburger could be better - Edit
Me and my partner ordered Flammenkuchen and it was delicous and I loved it. But the mushroom hamburger was not as expected and dry. A few people were in the restaurant that looks lovely but we had to wait too long. The service was ok. I give this lovely restaurant full house but it could have been a little bit better. Keep up the great work.

Lovely all vegan place - Edit
We generally enjoyed our dinner here. We had a mocktail which was tasty and the food was pretty nice. We had the artichoke dip as a starter which had insanely garlicky garlic bread to go with it so be warned. Was nice though. We also had the Flammkuchen as a main which to be honest was trying to marry a few too many flavours - bacon, onion, sour cream (all classic) and then peppers and rocket AND bits of truffle.
