Mediocre - Edit
Really lovely staff that were helpful, kind and welcoming. It is a card only place no cash. The passion fruit martini cocktail was lovely but a very small drink and my partners cocktails were either too sour or too bitter wasn’t levelled out enough for our personal preference. For food we chose the oyster wings, sweetcorn fritters, dirty fries, bao buns, falafel, samosas and was recommended the asparagus. Was nice food however did need more seasonings for our liking. Also a bit more on the pricier side which we never mind but for the quality of food maybe a bit too overpriced in my opinion. It is really good for vegans and non vegans though because they have meat alternatives.

Increased my rating - Edit
Gave it a 3 last time but this time was much better. Great environment. Wonderful options on the menu. The oil used in the tempura was old and dirty which was a shame, the rest was amazing!

Great service and delicious rich food - Edit
Great and quick service, delicious and rich food. We ordered about 6 mezzes two desserts between two people so had some left to take home too! It was good to have the spread , though you could probably do with 2 mezzes per person depending on which ones you get. I especially loved the artichoke dip and the saffron cheesecake!

Always delicious, always wonderful - Edit
2023 review: Koocha, while hard to get a booking at, is 100% worth the effort! I would recommend the "oyster wings" above all else, I was considering ordering a second portion.
Read moreWe ordered two large plates and two mezze between two people, which filled us up plenty. We also got some cocktails which were lovely, and since we arrived early we got the "two of the same for £15" deal.
The staff are always lovely too, and while the place is small and intimate, it was never too loud for conversation.
The only downside is that a lot of the menu is often unavailable, which is a shame, but everything we did order was delicious, and there was still plenty of choice.
Edit: Since going back I have found the whole menu has been available so I think they have resolved any supply issues!
2024 review: Still delicious; they regularly make changes to their menu to switch things up but they keep the old favourites on there! I have been twice for their roast dinner, which sadly has now stopped for the year, but I think they usually bring it back for the winter. They have said they are continuing to do a few roasts on Sundays which are first come, first served! It's an amazing roast, best vegan roast in Bristol.

Come here!!! - Edit
I'm SO happy we can get persian (enough) vegan food in Bristol! As a Persian I love bringing friends here to show them how delicious our food is. Its obviously not all fully authentic, some is inspired by, but it is definitely worth many visits!

Huge menu, all delicious - Edit
I went there with my wife and between us we had 8 dishes, including 2 desserts, and every one of them was amazing!
Read moreWe shared 5 Mezze dishes and a plate of dirty fries (which was by far the best dirty fries I've ever had), and then washed it down with Backlava and an incredible cheesecake!
The staff were all friendly and the setup was lovely. Easily in my top 3 restaurants in the UK, probably sitting comfortably at #1 or #2.
Highly recommended!

A must visit if you are in Bristol - Edit
Didn’t know this place was here but only just over a mile walk from the centre. Amazing food. I had the saffron & tahini skewers and my hubby had the ghormeh Sabzi which is a Persian stew. The saffron margarita was one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had. I also had a bit of room for the baklava for pudding. You have to visit this place.

Really cool vibe inside and good food. We had 6 of the mezze plates between 2 of us, which was arguably a bit much. Good cocktails too although could maybe do with a bit more choice.
