My husband and I stopped for lunch on our way north to Whistler BC. G&G is just off the highway, just north of the border. Perfect! The friendly staff welcomed us and were so kind. Hubby had the “rice rice baby” bowl, and I had the “Basic B**** GF” bowl. Both so tasty, like opening little gifts of flavor and texture as you dig down. Check out the menu. It all looks so good and won’t disappoint!

This place is so incredible! Every single item we tried was fantastic! The Cortado excellent, the ice queen specialty coffee was creamy and delicious. Green goddess (with extra kale) and purple reign smoothies were fresh and refreshing. Just eggsquisite was simply that, exquisite. Tom Avo toastini “bites” had so much flavor, we were longing for more. We took the Rice Rice Baby and Influencer bowls to go and when we had them several hours later, we were shocked by the freshness of the flavors. Best bowls we’ve had. We also took several treat for the next day. Perfect pear donut and pistachio donut were both very sticky and moist. The s’more cookie was so tasty, it was like freshly from the oven. The oh fudge brownie was the most fudge-y brownie ever. If ever up that way again, we’ll be stopping and quite possibly trying everything else. Very clean place. Friendly staff. Fantastic food!!!

Everything was wonderful. As a group we had the nooch popcorn, boujie bread, brekkie wrap, greens toastie, just eggsquisite, chic n’ cheesy toastie, strawberry matcha latte, lavender matcha latte, latte and coffee. We took home blueberry scones for tomorrow’s breakfast.

I had the brekkie wrap and it had some much flavour including the salad that came on the side. I'm not the biggest fan of salads but this was something else. I finished the salad first because of how good it tasted! Highly recommend grounds & greens! Also had the Havana banana smoothie which was also delicious, it was kinda like a chocolate and banana mix 😋

Grounds and Greens exceeded my expectations. Headed to the States for a doctor appointment and used a Plant Curious deal here as I drove through. So happy i did! Nowhere does it say it’s Ⓥ but it is! GF options in the dessert case. Lattes, teas, frothy oat milk, Pom juice, booch. What I love most is G&G is headed towards zero waste - currently no to-go containers so bring your own if you want to take it with you. I saw a man in a nice suit come in and collect two stainless steel containers - presumably with his to-go order inside - and jet. Everything is fine cafe dining if that makes sense. Perfect for the city and I wish we had one in Vancouver.

Amazing Meals - Edit
First time here, gave it a try over the Labour Day long weekend (Sept. 2024) and we were blown away! Food was absolutely outstanding - filling, tons of flavour and reasonably priced! Had the Influencer bowl as one of our two meals and the Brekkie Wrap with egg bites to start. All were outstanding!!

The food is fresh and flavourful, and the staff are friendly and fun.. Our favourite lunch is sharing the Influencer and enjoying a Chai Hard with it. Highly recommend this restaurant. It doesn’t matter what your eating preferences are, you’ll enjoy the food, guaranteed.

Visited this cafe/restaurant a few months ago and I was blown away by their mac & cheese truffle pasta! It was delicious. I live a bit for from South Surrey but am willing to take a trip to visit this place again so I can try other things on their menu.

Mac and Cheese and ‘beef’ stroganoff and wow. Delicious meals both. Topped off by a big bowl of nouche popcorn and a turmeric shake! All YUM. I mean very good. In a great space.

In our party of 3, we got the mushroom Mac and cheese, the Havana Banana smoothie, the hangover soup, and the rice baby bowl - all were excellent! In particular loved.thr tofu combo with the sauce of the rice dish. Smoothie was nice as well - all together, and very filling.

Café with lovely atmosphere and amazing food. Came with family, first experience eating out as a vegan in Canada and was blown away. Everyone loved their food (even a fussy eater and someone who had never been to a vegan cafe before) and the staff were lovely. I had the greens toast and it was delicious, with a generous caesar side salad which was equally delicious. The beet smoothie had a great kick of ginger.

This is such a great spot right across the border, only takes about 35 minutes coming from Bellingham with little traffic. I’ve been a handful of times and every time the staff has been so friendly and welcoming! I’ve had a bunch of items on the menu and everything has been great, including the coffee. Highly recommend the brekkie wrap - the Caesar salad that comes with it is SO good. Also really enjoyed the influencer bowl. They always have water for my pup when I come and also dog treats at the counter😄

The greens toastie was super tasty, loved the tomato jam and pickled red onions. Loaded piece of toast with some great caesar salad on the side. The bread was strong too so it carried all the toppings and didn’t bend or absorbed too much moisture.

I am on a bicycle tour and needed a good lunch to power me across the border. This eatery fulfilled that need very well.

The only negative thing was the price but maybe I am out of touch with how much meals out are these days.
My impression of this town is that it is write upscale. Maybe the rents are seriously high.
Regardless, I would eat here again I I was too pass through again (I detoured about 10kms to eat here and glad that it didn't disappoint my stomach).
The staff were excellent.

I’ve been vegan for 10 plus years. I’ve travelled Ont, AB, and BC for food. And even though I have my favourites, Greens and Grounds is by far my favourite!

Drinks to eats and sweets. The vibe is fun and upbeat. Love the names of their dishes. Friendly staff, excellent kitchen team. I can’t say enough about them.
We ordered the OG, which is a yogurt bowl. The brekkie wrap, which was the most amazing wrap I have ever had (the flavours the texture just perfect!), havanna banana smoothie, ice queen, and some treats to go.
I’m kicking myself because our original plan was to stay up in that area for a few nights, but we ended up going to Kelowna instead. Please if you are debating where to stay, stay up in the Surrey area just for Greens and Grounds.
