So many options! - Edit
Everything could be made vegan except for the lox plate (that’s the only meat they have). There’s many options for both sweet and savory breakfasts and there’s a lot of options for lunch too! Really cozy atmosphere with a lot of fun merchandise.

This place is fantastic! - Edit
The owner is vegan and the menu is 95% vegan. They serve salmon, eggs and dairy cheeses but also offer vegan cheeses, scrambled tofu, salads, bagel sandwiches, etc. Huge selection of coffees and all pastries, sauces and dressings are VEGAN. I love this place!

Pretty solid. - Edit
Not sure why they bother selling salmon, since that’s got to be the worst fish in the sea. It’s decent food, and priced correctly. Had the impossible burger and the banana peppers were a nice touch. Caesar salad side would have been better if they had spun the lettuce.

Pros: Basically vegan, Gf bread option, Vegan Pastry options

Might as well be a vegan place - Edit
Everything is vegan apart from the salmon which they probably need to serve to stay open in a tourist town.

Great food, impolite staff - Edit
I really enjoyed the food that this little cafe has to offer. It's rare that you can find a place with so many vegan options, with food that is both a good value as well as good portions. The Tempeh Ruben was probably one of the best I've had since Chicago Diner. The coffee is also quite tasty although it seems to be roasted a little dark if that is your thing. The decor and layout of the building seemed a little strange with seating that doesn't seem to fit well with the space that they have. The pre-covid photos seem much more of a natural layout.
Read moreThe staff, on the other hand, seemed to be a little rude as they wouldn't say "you're welcome" to our "thank you" or acknowledge the extra money we put in the tip jar. It's the little things that really put us off. We wanted to patronize any shop that serves vegan food of course, but the experience left me and my wife a little perturbed. Going through the google reviews, this seems to be par for the course. Sad because we really wanted to like the place.
Pros: Fantastic food, Good portions
Cons: Impolite staff, Strange decor

Great Vegan Breakfast Options - Edit
It can be super tricky to find a place with great options for vegan breakfast items, but this place has it all! Nearly anything can be made vegan. My bagel sandwich was delicious. It had a tofu scramble, mushrooms, tomato, lettuce, Daiya cheese and a ton of flavor! I definitely will be back (probably tomorrow morning haha).

Awesome breakfast and lunch! - Edit
This place had a ton, like the whole menu could be made vegan, and it seemed like vegan was the norm here. There were so many coffee and tea choices and breakfast sandwiches to accompany them. I was asked to choose between three vegan cheeses, which never happens! I wish I could have stayed two nights here so I could have gotten breakfast twice. The place was a little cramped, but worth the wait!

Delicious! - Edit
Stopped here for lunch on a whim and loved it. The impossible burger was delicious! Their coffee with CBD is also great. They roast their own beans so we took a bag home with us and have been enjoying it.

Perfect lunch spot!! - Edit
This cute coffee shop had delicious food and great drink options to match (try the hemp milk chai with CBD!). A majority of the menu items, including pastries, were vegan or could be made vegan. Many dishes included vegan meats such as Field Roast dogs, the Impossible Burger, or Gardein chicken. Everyone who ordered a vegan meal at our table was very pleased!

So great! - Edit
So many vegan options! They have like five or six vegan milks. All vegan items are well-labeled. We tried the gf breakfast English muffin sandwich with tofu scramble and tempeh bacon, and the Sesame chicken wrap with Gardein chicken and chili sauce. Generous portions and incredibly reasonable prices!

Too bad this great restaurant does not switch to an all vegan establishment. Their many vegan main dishes, desserts and drinks are creative and delicious. This is the place to go for vegans and vegetarians while visiting Yachats.

Coffee and Tea House - Edit
Green Salmon is a coffee and tea house that offers vegan options along the coast of crab shacks, fish markets, and chowder houses.
Read moreWe usually pack Clif Bars and trail mix when visiting the beach, so it is nice to stop in for a vegan sandwich or pastry.
They do use Gardein and Tofurky products so it is prefab, processed, and salty, but remember this is a coffee and tea house with a small kitchen, and it is nice to have a vegan option on the coast.
Service is friendly and quick, and the food is good. Seating can get crowded on weekends, but we usually sit outside.
Pros: Friendly staff, Pastries, Location
Cons: Prefab, Processed, Salty

Most Vegan Options on Coast - Edit
They have the most vegan options we have found on the coast. Don't rely on the menu on the website. Go in. Vegan options are noted in green chalk. They are everywhere. Many different kinds of milk alternatives to choose from. Gluten-free too. Their vegan pesto is yummy.

A wonderful find - Edit
The Green Salmon was recommended by a server in Newport, so we decided to check it out. Outstanding! The coffee was delicious (a generous cup), and the vegan pastries divine. This is definitely my new favorite place in Yachats!

Oasis on the Coast - Edit
We hesitated when we read the name, but inside found a vegan-friendly place (hard to come by on the Oregon coast) that appeared to be a neighborhood hub. The Green Salmon offers coffee drinks, Italian sodas, "teas and herbals" and a 12-item list of breakfast and lunch dishes posted on a blackboard. You place your order and pay at the cashier, find a seat at one of the multi-party tables in the eclectically furnished dining room and pick up your food when someone from the kitchen calls your name. The casual and relaxed lunchtime atmosphere fits well in this seaside village. I ordered a very good avocado, lettuce and tomato whole wheat wrap with a tempe bacon add-on, lots of avocado and smeared with Veganaise. There was a vegan falafel wrap that was sold out, and one or two items that could be veganized with the use of different dressing or substitution of Earth Balance (which the restaurant offers) for butter. We also stopped for breakfast, when offerings include a vegan granola and a hot cereal made with amaranth, quinoa and polenta. My husband had a generous plate of whole wheat bagel with hummus, tomato, lettuce, and onion. I had a very fine vegan scone served with Earth Balance. We are happy to return to The Green Salmon whenever we're nearby on the coast.
