Don’t miss it - Edit
Great little spot for coffee and tea and homemade vegan pastries! Sweet and savory pastries available. Great coffee and tea drinks and quirky little casual spot. They have a full breakfast menu but I can’t speak to that. We just had a savory ham and cheese pastry and a sweet maple glazed croissant.

OMG - Edit
Most delicious vegan cafe in the coast! The "omelet with ham and cheese and asparagus" was INCREDIBLE. Haven't had a vegan omelet before and it was SO delicious! Also, the best pancake I've had since being vegan. Everything was really incredibly good, and we love in Portland and are used to having plenty of vegan options.

Vegan on the Oregon Coast - Edit
So glad to find vegan food on the Oregon Coast. After a night of camping nearby, drove to Yachats for a cup of coffee and breakfast. The coffee was not great but good enough to enjoy while reading with a glimpse of the Pacific in the distance.
Read moreFor food, I ordered the Broccoli and Potato Breakfast Scramble. It was okay, it was nice to have the vegetables but the tofu scramble aspect of it was lacking in flavor and texture.
I was underwhelmed, but with all of that being said, if I am on the coast near Yachats I will definitely be returning. I'll try something different on the menu.
Pros: Vegan on the Oregon coast

Beyond the beyond! - Edit
All vegan with pastries, cocoa, huge variety of scrambles, sandwiches, teas, tee-shirts, tarot cards on the tables. In addition, the people/person working there, was phenomenal in her kindness, relating to each customer very personally. And btw, the food was delicious, prices fair in today’s inflation. Tip well, it’s deserved here.

Best Vegan Food on the Oregon Coast - Edit
No trip to Yachats (or surrounding area) would be complete without a stop at the Green Salmon. Their breakfast sliders are my favorite item on the menu - the Umaro bacon is THE best vegan bacon. All their pastries are amazing, too, but get there early before they sell out. So glad they made the choice to go fully vegan - thanks Green Salmon!

Hidden gem! - Edit
We did not expect this place to be vegan so imagine how excited we were when we found out!! The staff were so kind and the pastries were amazing & sold out so quickly! We also loved the breakfast sandwich. The burrito had a little too much potato for us!

Great spot! - Edit
It was hard to find good vegan options on the coast so this was such a welcome find! Lovely place, great menu with a ton of variety. Good vibes inside. I got a very satisfying Spicy BLT and a really nice mug of hot cocoa. Lot of spiritual stuff going on in there. Fun merch too.

Unexpected vegan food on the coast! - Edit
Was in Yachats for a weekend wedding and was pleasantly surprised to find the Green Salmon! I ordered two breakfast burritos, the tempeh Reuben, and a smoothie with pistachio milk. Everything I had was fresh, delicious, and came in huge portions. Tasted amazing and you could tell that they put a lot of care and love into their food. All that food lasted me 5 meals! So happy to have this option in a tiny coastal town. Thank you Green Salmon!!

Delicious, want to go back - Edit
I was really craving a burger and their impossible burger did not disappoint! The sprouts & peperoncinis were the metaphorical cherry on top. It was really busy when I went so It took awhile to order but I definitely want to go back and sample the whole menu.

Disappointing coffee, mediocre food - Edit
Unfortunately I had high expectations for this place because it's all plant based now. My latte was just plain terrible I couldn't even finish it. The coffee was burnt tasting and the milk seemed to be steeped at too high a temperature. The breakfast wrap was only okay, but too dry and a hair in mine.

I would love to eat here every day - Edit
Holy cow, if I lived in Yachats I would eat here every day. Coffee and tea (black tea fog) were top notch, but the food was unexpectedly good. The menu items are clearly labeled as vegan.
Read moreOver a couple of days my wife and I had:
* pastries
* pretzel burger (amazing!)
* reuben sandwich
* breakfast burrito
All of them were good. The pretzel burger probably stands out as the best by a hair and is a crowd pleaser.
As of July 2023 they were all vegan except for parmesan cheese on one salad and cow milk on offer.

Vegan surprise! - Edit
We love Yachats and have been coming here for years. Green Salmon has been in the town for a while, but they have changed and are now almost, if not entirely, plant based. Their food is fresh and delicious and we very much appreciate their rebranding as a plant based diner. Service is also friendly and welcoming. I tried to give a 5 star rating, but Happy Cow won't allow if restaurants are not listed as entirely vegan.

There are countless vegan options at Green Salmon! My spouse and I love the assortment of vegan pastries. The almond croissant is my favorite. Savory wraps are available, too.

Amazing - Edit
I would give them 5 stars but the app doesn’t let me. They’re 90% vegan (they serve milk cheese and sometimes salmon). I haven’t had choco croissant since going vegan wow. I’m impressed. I’ve also been waiting forever to try omni pork , and it didn’t disappoint. I also love their whimsical book collections along with teas and other quirky things. It is one Of the most popular coffee spots in town and I love how it introduces people to eat mostly vegan for that meal

Everything could be made vegan except for the lox plate (that’s the only meat they have). There’s many options for both sweet and savory breakfasts and there’s a lot of options for lunch too! Really cozy atmosphere with a lot of fun merchandise.

Pretty solid. - Edit
Not sure why they bother selling salmon, since that’s got to be the worst fish in the sea. It’s decent food, and priced correctly. Had the impossible burger and the banana peppers were a nice touch. Caesar salad side would have been better if they had spun the lettuce.

Everything is vegan apart from the salmon which they probably need to serve to stay open in a tourist town.

Great food, impolite staff - Edit
I really enjoyed the food that this little cafe has to offer. It's rare that you can find a place with so many vegan options, with food that is both a good value as well as good portions. The Tempeh Ruben was probably one of the best I've had since Chicago Diner. The coffee is also quite tasty although it seems to be roasted a little dark if that is your thing. The decor and layout of the building seemed a little strange with seating that doesn't seem to fit well with the space that they have. The pre-covid photos seem much more of a natural layout.
Read moreThe staff, on the other hand, seemed to be a little rude as they wouldn't say "you're welcome" to our "thank you" or acknowledge the extra money we put in the tip jar. It's the little things that really put us off. We wanted to patronize any shop that serves vegan food of course, but the experience left me and my wife a little perturbed. Going through the google reviews, this seems to be par for the course. Sad because we really wanted to like the place.
Pros: Fantastic food, Good portions
Cons: Impolite staff, Strange decor

Great Vegan Breakfast Options - Edit
It can be super tricky to find a place with great options for vegan breakfast items, but this place has it all! Nearly anything can be made vegan. My bagel sandwich was delicious. It had a tofu scramble, mushrooms, tomato, lettuce, Daiya cheese and a ton of flavor! I definitely will be back (probably tomorrow morning haha).
