Ein alter Gasthof auf dem Dorf mit Kamin und tradioneller Einrichtung. Das Essen ist jedoch 100% vegan und super lecker. Auch die Bedienung war super freundlich. Große Empfehlung!

Not your typical vegan restaurant in a busy city. Actually it's in a very quiet village, close to a forest, where not much else happens. Situated in a corner, where many cyclists pass by and sometimes even stop. The staff are always very welcoming (run by a family) and the food is simply so tasty 🙂 Quite pricey i have to say and wish the portions were bigger, but otherwise very satisfying! And the cakes 😮😮🤤🤤

Read moreRegarding pricing – we truly do our best to keep our menu as affordable as possible. In fact, our prices are set lower than what we would actually need to fully cover the work and costs involved in running the restaurant. Raising prices to reflect this would make our dishes noticeably more expensive, which we’d prefer to avoid.
On portion sizes, we normally receive very positive feedback, but it looks like your puffer came out smaller than it should have. We sincerely apologize for that – they are usually bigger, and we have fed that back to the kitchen.

The most unlikely restaurant to find in rural Brandenburg - Edit
We spent a weekend in one of the flats adjoined to the restaurant mainly because we had planned for years to eat at Gasthof Falkenhorst. Now that we finally got around to visiting, we can heartily recommend both. Over the weekend, we tried almost everything on the short, but weekly-changing menu. They had three different cakes on offer. The cheesecake was good, the Bienenstich and the Pflaumenkuchen even better. Located directly adjacent to a popular biking route, we definitely see why many people stop here for cake and coffee. As far as savory dishes go, we had the Brotzeitteller, the Kartoffelpuffer and the mighty Schnitzel with cucumber salad and Bratkartoffeln. My husband is a big believer in measuring the quality of a German-style restaurant by its Bratkartoffeln and here he found them to be outstanding. The portions were appropriately huge and filling. Just right after a day of hiking through the local woods. The Kartoffelpuffer were also top-notch, but if the Schnitzel is on the menu, we advise you to go for it.
Read moreTo find a vegan German-style Landgasthof run by a British couple in rural Brandenburg feels a bit like seeing a mirage in the desert but we can happily report that the restaurant is in fact real. Service was extremely friendly. The whole atmosphere was very welcoming and open to hip Berliners and Brandenburg locals alike, which was really nice to see. A big thumbs-up for keeping the Gaststube they way it (we assume) used to be back in the 80s or 90s. For my husband it brought back childhood memories of eating out as a kid in a small German village.
The only item on the menu that wasn't representative of what one would expect at a German Landgasthof (apart from everything being vegan, of course) was a British builder's tea. We thought it would actually be charming to have 1-2 other British items on the menu, just to complete the marriage of unlikely combinations. But, of course, to go fully oldschool German is also a runde Sache.
Overall we heartily recommend Gasthof Falkenhorst and are already discussing when to come back. Unique, in the best possible sense.

Schon lange planten wir einen Besuch im Gasthof, da wir viel Gutes gehört hatten und das Projekt "veganes Restaurant auf dem Land" unterstützten wollten. Heute ergab sich endlich die Gelegenheit und nach einem Besuch im Barfußpark Beelitz steuerten wird hierher. Wir waren vom Ambiente und der Speisekarte sehr angetan.😄Alles war sehr lecker. Ich denke, hier komm ich mal mit der Familie her.

We had been planning a visit to the inn for a long time as we had heard a lot of good things and wanted to support the ‘vegan restaurant in the countryside’ project. Today we finally had the opportunity and after a visit to the Barefoot Park in Beelitz, we headed here. We were very impressed by the ambience and the menu.😄Everything was delicious. I think I'll come here with the family one day.
My only wish: For the right childhood feeling, I was missing Rote Fassbrause (http://www.rote-ddr-fassbrause.de/)😉(‘the good old one from GDR times’😉)

everything about this place is magical. The people, the food and the place itself. Bring your dog and a bicycle, cuz they are the perfect getaway from Berlin. On top you get lovely encounters with old school German pensioners and other omnivores that dare to eat vegan because there is no other Inn around. And t h a n they come back because it was soooooo good and cozy, hehe (°◡°♡) . Very good value for money too!!

Read moreOur concept is based around food that’s is freshly prepared and also minimizes waste. A menu any larger when we are only open two days a week would result in food waste and also make our business model non functional (we would need then two chefs) so we try to keep it simple to ensure our little restaurant is not swallowed up by costs. Our menu does rotate each weekend so we can still offer variety to our guests

Wir waren hier im Oktober, als es noch jedes Wochenende geöffnet war. Leider war das Schnitzel schon vergriffen, dafür habe ich das Bauernfrühstück umso mehr genossen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, und auch der Kuchen (Chai Pflaume) war hervorragend. War nicht mein letzter Besuch!

Wir hatten das vegane Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat und die Spargel Bowl. Das essen ist unfassbar lecker und authentisch. Die Besitzer sind super nett und herzlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Gegend ist perfekt für ein Spaziergang. Zudem gibt es auch leckeren veganen Kuchen. Hunde sind immer Willkommen.

Uriges und unauffälliges veganes Restaurant - Edit
Das Restaurant sieht aus wie ein typisches deutsches Mischköstler-Restaurant und auch die Gerichte klingen erstmal wie klassisch nichtvegan, was wahrscheinlich dazu führt, dass sich auch Gäste dorthin verirren, die vielleicht nicht explizit vegane Kost bevorzugen. Es gibt eine wöchentlich wechselnde kleine Speisekarte. Ich konnte mich trotz der kleinen Auswahl nicht entscheiden, da alles lecker klang. Mein Hauptgericht war sehr gut und hat deftig und herzhaft geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Leider hat das Restaurant nur am Wochenende geöffnet. Wäre das Restaurant in Berlin würde ich definitiv öfter vorbei kommen.

Jeden Donnerstag wird das Menü fürs Wochenende auf Instagram/Facebook gepostet.
Allein am Kuchen müsste unserer Meinung nach noch etwas nachjustiert werden (wir hatten uns von jedem ein Stück mitgenommen)
Insgesamt ist es einfach toll, wenn so einer (gutbürgerlichen Gasthaus-) Location noch einmal veganes Leben eingehaucht wird.

Top Schnitzel - Edit
Das Schnitzel mit Lauch-Senfsauce war super, dazu gab es Bratkartoffeln und ein wenig Rohkost. Die Karte scheint sich wöchentlich ein wenig zu ändern, Updates dazu gibt es auf der Facebookseite. Auf der Website steht eine Beschreibung, wie man dorthin gelangt. Leider ist der Gasthof echt schlecht angebunden, teilweise fährt nur alle 2h ein Bus in den kleinen Ort.

There seems to be a weekly menu, so I don't recommend the vegan schnitzel with potato salad and the cake we ate (but order it when it's on the menu!). Everything tasted great, the two ladies who worked there were very nice. The prices are not low, but okay.

Wir haben am Feiertag angerufen, um die Öffnungszeiten zu erfahren. Sie hatten die Küche extra für uns noch etwas länger aufgelassen. Es gab ein Tagesmenü mit einer kleinen Auswahl, bei der man sich trotzdem kaum entscheiden konnte. Ist definitiv einen Ausflug von Berlin aus wert.
