Vegane Oase im Grünen - Edit
Mitten im Grünen liegt dieses wunderbare, vegane Restaurant. Liebevoll kümmerte sich die Besitzerin um uns. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Das Essen war der Hammer. Toll ist auch, dass die Karte wöchentlich wechselt. Jetzt im Herbst und Winter kann noch einmal im Monat dort geschlemmt werden. Unbedingt probieren! Wenn es wärmer wird, am besten in Kombi mit einer Fahrradtour dort vorbeischauen ;)

We stayed in the Gasthof loft apartment a weekend in October, and had lunch (lunch platte for me, with a really delicious patè) dinner (“traditional” vegan schnitzel with all the trimmings) and dessert (gluewein cake!). But the full English breakfast that we had served in our room was probably my favorite!

The apartment is cozy. A nice little “home away from home”-style get away (princess bride on dvd and a beer “vom fass” is a nice little tip)
It’s really close to Berlin, and there is plenty of fresh air for an entire weekend.

A cosy, peaceful and yummy getaway - Edit
We spent a weekend in the Gasthofs' loft apartment and had lunch, dinner, and dessert in the restaurant plus breakfast delivered to the room. The owners (and their dog) are friendly and sweet, and clearly passionate about serving great food and creating a cozy experience for their guests. The food is classic German / Gasthof style, buy vegan, delicious, and thoughtfully composed and served. Falkenhorst is a special place, calm and homely, in a tiny village, yet close to Berlin and the just-over hour-long trip there is totally worth it. Go there!

This is a full recommendation! The small and cozy pub room with a real log fire invites the guests to stay for a lovely meal and an extremely yummy selection of cakes afterwards! We had Gnocci with mushrooms and some kind of mustard sauce, and I was very much tempted to ask for the recipe, as this was so tasty! My fried had an equally tasteful risotto, and both of us could not resist when offered a chocolate-cherry-Glühwein cake or a chocolate-pear cake afterwards! Apart from the tasty food, you are made to feel welcome by the nice hosts, and, best of all, also our dogs were welcomed with OPEN ARMS, something not very usual. We will definitely come back, as also the lovely vicinity with lakes and forests invites dogs owners to explore the surroundings with their pets. Thank you!

Viele tolle Wandermöglichkeiten in der Umgebung und dann Einkehr in ein unscheinbares kleines uriges Restaurant mit mit kleiner aber sehr leckerer Auswahl an Hauptspeisen und Kuchen. Sehr gemütlich und sehr nette Gastgeber. Drinnen scheint es nur 4 Tische zu geben. Bei schlechtem Wetter könnte Platzmangel herrschen.

I invited my non vegan family to this restaurant and everyone left happy, full and satisfied. My dad was surprised how good vegan food can be. So a full success. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. Highly recommend to give it a try! We will go again.

Lovely country food, cool people, great location - Edit
Had lunch on the sunny terrace at this beautiful country pub in the countryside just outside Berlin. The English and German staff are really lovely and the vegan food has a home-made country feel. I had a schnitzel and cabbage salad and a slice of delicious plum cake - all highly recommended! A perfect place to while away a few hours as a quick refreshing break from the city. I'll definitely go back on my next trip to Berlin.

Don't be fooled by the GDR-Style ambiente, this restaurant is run by UK / NZ owners who are very frienldy. Qualty of foof is excellent, nice area near the River Spree (500m hidden footpath) and lovely country side. Ideal spot for a weekend walk from Berlin (Erkner or Schmöckwitz)
