Authentic German Gasthof with a delicious vegan menu! - Edit
Visited here recently while on a break from the UK. Lovely countryside location with fabulous wildlife and nature. Was surprised to find an Authentic German restaurant with a completely vegan menu. Very much enjoyed the vegan burger, one of the best I've tasted and delicious desserts too. Believe they have rooms, hoping to stay for a few days next time and explore the unspoiled surrounding.

Absolutely blown away by Gasthof Falkenhorst! Firstly, the food was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. It would be pretty hard to tell that it’s all vegan if you didn’t know, so it would suit all dietary needs. We tried the quiche and pate and it was truly delicious. The price is very affordable especially considering the glorious meal we had that left us feeling very full. The service was excellent and the owners are lovely people. There menu changes frequently and I cannot wait to try return and try more of the incredible food they have to offer. Compliments to the chef!
Read moreThe restaurant itself is decorated so tastefully and it has a very calming atmosphere. There’s also a wonderful terrace to sit and enjoy the sunshine. It’s not what you’d expect from a traditional Gasthof in a rural setting and I love that!
The Gasthof itself is located in a lovely small village called Burig which is just outside of Berlin. There is a beautiful forest right next to it and lots of Lakes near by which means you can really make a day of it! I don’t know of anywhere else you can go for a swim and then enjoy a nice cold beer and vegan meal afterwards! I was told you can even stay at the Gasthof which sounds like a perfect way to escape the city for a weekend. I could go on and on but I think it’s best you just go see for yourself! Thank you Gasthof Falkenhorst we very much look forward to seeing you soon!
