Disappointed :( - Edit
We had dinner at sova vegan butcher. We really looked forward to it because of the recommandations at happy cow and the fact it's completly vegan.
Read moreThe place was too fancy. It seems like they want to be upper class but the atmosphere and staff was not very friendly and food was not that good.
We had a seitan steak with something potatoe like, coleslaw and tomatoes. The Seitan steak was really good but the rest tastes a bit like nothing.

The Best Vegan Restaurant in Dublin! - Edit
Sova Food Vegan Butcher is an excellent restaurant, well worth a visit if you are visiting Dublin. I've been visiting it for years and I never tire of the place! The staff are very warm and friendly. And the food is amazing! My favourite dish has to be the Seitan Doner Kebab (on the lunch menu). The last dish I had there was the Tagliatelle with creamy spinach and portobello mushroom sauce - delicious! I can't wait to return again soon! Thanks guys for making such amazing food!

Holy Wow! - Edit
After being disappointed in the lack of vegan options at Tang, I walked here and was immediately elated. They were quite busy with the Sunday Brunch rush but still managed to get me a table quickly. The menu had about 8 brunch options available but I opted for the Irish Breakfast that had veggie sausage, bacon, beans, steamed spinach & a tofu scramble. It was quite large and very good. It was a pricey brunch but for the convenience of the entire menu being vegan and the high quality, I would still recommend it highly. I ate there at about 2pm and ended up skipping dinner as I was still pretty full.

Amazing!! - Edit
This was my favorite place in all of Dublin! My girlfriend and I had just come from Rome, Italy and we ate at a few different vegan restaurants and nothing topped the vegan breakfast that was served here. I had the Irish breakfast and it was a veg generous portion and everything was so delicious, I didn’t want it to ever be over. The cappuccinos were delicious as well and the staff was extremely friendly. Make sure you call ahead or get there early because they get jam packed. We showed up at the perfect time, at noon and their books were completely closed for 2pm. They have nice decor and 2 floors for seating.

Delicious Vegan Irish Breakfast and more - Edit
Sova Vegan Butcher was the last vegi restaurant that we visited on our trip to Ireland, and was perhaps the best.
Read moreI had the Irish breakfast, which was a beautifully plated assortment of classic Irish breakfast dishes including sausage, streakey bacon, black pudding, scrambled "eggs" (tofu), spinach and more. All dishes were very flavorful, especially the streakey bacon. The sausage was a bit dry.
We also had Pulled Porc Pap, which was a nice dish comprised of mushrooms and soy steaks served on a bun. We weren't familiar with soy steak, which is similar to seitan but made from soy and not wheat.
Overall, the food was delicious although slow to arrive. We were seated near the kitchen and could see that they were working hard. And each dish was assembled from multiple components that were being prepared fresh, so the wait was worth it.
Location wise Sova is a bit away from the town center, but not too far either. Definitely worth a trip!
Pros: Tasty food, Vegan
Cons: Busy, reservations recommended

Creative food - Edit
Best vegan restaurant in Dublin. I've been tasting their innovations way before they opened the restaurant (when they used to work as pop up) and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is cozy, the staff is very friendly and the food is like nothing else I've ever had around Dublin. Love it.

Exceeded my expectations! - Edit
This was top of my list of places to visit in Dublin, and it didn't disappoint! The menu is quite creative, and it's really difficult to narrow it down and decide what to have. We paid about €25 for three courses and were very satisfied. The scallops were an amazing starter, the chicken was lovely, the schnitzel was nothing at all like I imagined (almost a work of art!), and the chocolate avocado mousse was a fantastic dessert.
Read moreWe returned for Saturday brunch - the mac and cheese was comforting and creamy, and the Irish breakfast was sensational! I wish we could have eaten more!
Service was wonderful, and it's a lovely little space with interesting art too.

I have travelled around and can say that Sova is the best Vegan restaurant I've been to. Delicious, cozy, with a menu that changes once and a while. I love the way they transform fancy meat dishes into vegan food. And desserts are also amazing!

Send everyone here. No matter their dietary choice they need to eat at Sova and either become a convert immediately or give places like this their hard earned money to do more. Best meal in Ireland by far. That’s not to say we didn’t love other things we ate but this is on another level. WISH we had food this good back home :(

LOVE IT!!! - Edit
Went to eat lunch with a non-vegan friend and we were both blown away!! So much so that he wanted to go back for dinner! We had the doner, tacos, pancakes, Irish bfast, green juice, PB smoothie and coffee. Everything was delicious!! If this place was anywhere near my house, I would probably eat here several times a week. Although it's not necessary, I recommend making a reservation for bfast on the weekend.

We went here on a Thursday night to find the restaurant crowded. Luckily they could still offer us a table. We decided on the three course dinner and it was truly amazing. Very filling. Definitely the best vegan food I have ever tried. The people were very friendly.

This is one of my regular spots in Dublin. The food is fantastic and pretty reasonably priced considering that it's in Dublin and you leave stuffed. Brunch on a Sunday is great too.

Just of the Main Street with lots of busy pubs and bars. Great atmosphere inside. Everything on the menu looked delicious but we went for the potato gnocchi and the steak, would recommend both ! We also had the chocolate avocado mousse for dessert which was heavenly.

Unfortunately I only made it once to Sova. I ate the burger and the cheesecake, both delicious and big. Definitely worth the price. I'll probably come back to Dublin just to try the rest of the menu. The staff was very sweet as well. Great place!

The food is great, really tasty.
Read moreGenerous quantity of food.
Deserts were awesome, very elaborate.
On the counter side it is always very full, so, it is hard to get a table expecially if you are in a large group. Also, maybe because of that, the service is slow.

I wish this place was near me - I'd be here all the time! We had a short trip to Dublin so we didn't have much time and went to Sova on a Sunday for brunch. I had apple cinnamon pancakes and my husband had gnocchi. Both were excellent and portions were huge. For dessert we had chocolate mousse which was dark and rich.
Read moreEvery single dish they brought from the kitchen for other tables we looked at and salivated. Everything looked excellent.
We wished we were in Dublin longer so we could have tried more from their menu.
The place is small and seating is limited. I would recommend reservations.

Amazing experience - Edit
I LOVED this place!! All vegan is always good :) Very friendly staff, minimalist interior, focus on (fantastic) food. The seitan was delicious (best vegan kebap I've ever had), huge portions. The pancakes my non-vegan friend had were really nice too! Burgers looked amazing. Favourite restaurant in Dublin so far.
