Falafel- my personal favourite. Comes with home made hummus and tubule. The hummus was not very good but in saying that the falafels were so good they were better on their own. 9/10
Harrira- Mum and Dads favourite. Very filling. 8/10
We also got the ginger lemonade and mint lemonade which were both amazing.

Beautiful place with some vegan options - Edit
Has some vegan options, the best one was falafels with hummus and tabouleh. We also tried the vegan Moroccan tapas, but not my taste and could not eat it all.

The food here was very good. Over two nights I had the harira, b’stilla, and the Fez Platter. the platter was the best deal and best flavours but everything is European prices, very expensive for Morocco but not as bad as London and it’s a good clean place with decent chefs and a good enough range for vegans.
Read moreA warning for real vegans, though (or anyone that doesn’t want their food sweetened by insect vomit): The sherikyas and other little sweets you get with the harira and the platter are definitely made with honey. obviously regurgitated pollen stolen from insects shouldn’t be included where it claims to be “vegan” but considering how hard it is to get people to understand this simple concept in Northern Europe you can’t expect them ti get it all right here. hopefully enough people will point it out for them to make the little change, I just gave them away and enjoyed the rest.

I had breakfast pancakes with caramelised bananas on them. Non of the breakfast items were labelled vegan or veggie so I presume that they were all veggie as the other breakfast options were eggs.

Amazing restaurant. Progressive place, very relaxed vibe, great rooftop view, feels a world away from the hustle of the medina. Many vegan options marked on the menu, I ate there three times and had something different and equally tasty each time. Highly recommended.

I went here for dinner on a sunday night when they have the live music. The atmosphere and energy were great! The food was tasty and presented well. Staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The next day I did the cooking class. Absolutely one of the highlights of my trip.

Read moreWe tried the Harira soup (chickpea and noodles), the vegetable pastille (stuffed filo pastry) and the Moroccan sweets.
Everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing.
It's a bit pricier than other places and you'll see a lot of foreigners and tourists hanging out but it's worth the vegan experience and the chilled terrace.

We went here in October 2013, so I'm pretty late with my reviews!! Plus I wasn't strictly vegan when I went (but vegetarian). I was here with my meat eating boyfriend, who found the non-veg options interesting and tasty.
Read moreI had the mezze platter which I think is mostly vegan-lots of olives, salad, hummus etc. For vegetarians, there is a lot more variety than for vegans.
The price is reasonable, but probably on the expensive side for Fes/Morocco. Huge outdoor roof terrace which makes it worth visiting too!

This café has a European vibe. There are a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu, but if you're a vegan or lactose-intolerant it's not that easy.
Read moreThe roof-terrace is one of the most beautiful of Fes. The staff is very friendly and willing to help and explain the dishes. The cheesecake is a real treat (not vegan) if you like your cheesecake a little tart.
The prices are not like the other restaurants in Fes, but are more expensive. So if you're looking for a budget meal, this isn't the place. For me it was worth the price.

Cafe clock has a really nice atmosphere, especially if you sit on the roof terasse. As noted before, there are several nice vegetarian dishes (falafel, mezzes, burger, etc.) but few vegan options. The staff is very knowledgable about the dishes and the ingredients, so it's easy to figure something out. I had the moroccan mezze made vegan by subbing the cheese with hummus. Careful, the falafel are not vegan. The portions are ok sized but i expected more from the nice sounding menu. I fou d the taste to be only average and it's slightly overpriced with 50-90 dh per dish. I'd still recommend it for the nice vibe and something different to eat.

This restaurant has a nice space and serves food similar to good cafes in Europe and the US. Possibly a nice break if you're tired of vegetable tagine and cous cous! There are lots of vegetarian options. However, they don't understand veganism. We went twice and both times got served food with cheese or yogurt in it, despite long conversations about what we vegans don't eat. Disappointing. It's a pity because it's a nice venue.
