Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:

Human beings need to live in freedom and equality with each other and in ecological harmony with all the life on earth. Our exploitative and cruel relationship with animals is one of the many horrible features of the failed social system commonly called capitalism. We need to replace this social system with one that is based on freedom, equality, ethics and sustainability. To do this, we need to build a global, participatory social movement. Anarchism offers a guide on this path. Being vegan is one step along this path, but we also need to organise with friends and workmates to change the social system as a whole.
