Disappointed

Kinda disappointed, especially after reading the good reviews here. We had the gnocchi, the marisko paella and the Jessika drink. The ‘seafood’ didn’t taste like anything and the paella itself was bland. The drink was nothing special. Only the gnocchi were good (but still the portion was kinda small).

Cons: Bland food, Expensive

Amazing place

I had my birthday dinner there!
The staff was super friendly, they also put birthday candles on my dessert on my friend's request.
We shared tapas which were incredibly good (the mushroom croquetas were especially tasty), we drank hot sangria and had desserts.
The charming location made the overall experience even better.
Super recommended!

Great sangria

We had different types of sangria, alkoholic, and nonalcoholic. They all tasted great and looked amazing!

Fast and friendly service

Came here with my husband and got the “chicken” paella. It was yummy, but my husband who is cultured in paellas, said there wasn’t enough of a crusty bottom. We enjoyed the chicken alternative. Very yummy overall.

First stop in Barcelona

My wife and I had dinner here as our first stop in the city. The portions were generous and the presentation was exquisite.

Pros: Presentation

Underwhelming! What a shame.

Craved a paella, who doesn't when they go to Spain. Had seen they do a few vegan ones, so eventually ended up there one night. Sangria also seems to be their speciality, so knew we'd try a few. Was excited since everything is vegan. Too good to be true, right? Well, it was. Paella wasn't really a paella at all. Tasted pretty cheap and just not given the proper time or technique. Opted for the 'Marisco', with the novelty of fake prawns on top. Once that novelty wore off... well, it's just dyed, rubbery pea protein, isn't it. The rest of the dish itself had an unexciting texture and quite dull flavours. Didn't feel or taste 'authentic' - 0 soccarat in sight. I've made better at home, as a complete novice, not a brag. Baked gnocchi was topped with a fat dollop of tapenade, which seems like a mistake as it's a big imbalance flavour wise and ended up feeling like the wrong pairing. The gnocchi itself was dry and probably could have used a better sauce, even a drizzle of olive oil or something. The mushroom croquettes were more just a little deep fried ball of paste, which had an alright flavour but weird texture. Sangria drinks seemed exciting but actually felt poorly balanced and weren't mixed very well. Server was also a bit disoriented and distracted, probably their first week or something. Made it a fairly crap dinner. Wouldn't go back. I'd adjust your expectations for a place with such a high rating. As much as it's nice going somewhere totally plant-based, you might want to try a 'normal' place with vegan options available for a better time. Also it's just my taste but the art on the walls was a tad cringe and cheesy. To each their own.

Pros: All vegan, Lots of options

Cons: Poor service, Mediocre food, Unpolished service

3.5 - good but not amazing

Shared a tapas board and a paella with 2 friends as well as having a different lemonade each. All tasty but noting really stood out as really brilliant. The mushroom croquettes were my favorite and the paella was tasty. But from the reviews I was expecting a [censored] explosion of flavour.

Great drinks and tapas

We had the seafood tapas platter and enjoyed every element: calamari, shrimp, dipping sauces, stuffed peppers, potatoes, greens, olives, fruit. Add to that some tasty cocktails…👨‍🍳 💋! Will be going back to try the other tapas.

Exceptional drinks, good food

The look of this place is just so cool, the decor is great and the Vibe immaculate, especially for more alternative folks. The service Was great, the waitress was super nice and the food came surprisingly quick, despite there being quite a few customers.

The paella was very tasty, though I would have wished for a bit more intense flavour. The portion sice was big and definetely filled you up.

The sangria in the other Hand was just exceptional. Amazing taste, super fresh food and for the price super big as well.

Will definetely come back when in Barcelona!

Yummy but small portions

We hat a plate for two and it's right whwn you're not very hungry. Feeling like "Brettljause" oder "Heuriger" saying in Austria.

More a small restaurant than a bar.

Pros: Location, food we never ate before

Great sangrias

We had sangrias and paëllas at Bubita Sangria Bar - the sangrias are super fancy and tasty. The paëllas offer the opportunity to try out vegan calamari and the tapas plate allows you to taste vegan shrimps as well. Just for that, we recommend this place!

Sangria heaven!

So many types of sangria, and paella to accompany the drinks. They have some lighter dishes as well, I had the summer ceviche, which contained the incredible vegan shrimp!

Pros: So much sangria!, Yummy vegan fish alternatives, Amazing atmosphere

Good food, good service, amazing neighborhood

Food is great. I had Mariska paellia with vegan seafood. Vegan seafood looks like shrimp, has a texture similar to a shrimp, but pretty much tasteless. Service is very nice and it is placed in a very colourful neighborhood.

Great Sangria!

The sangria's were absolutely delicious and the presentation of each was wonderful. The paella was really good in regards to flavour but I would have liked a bigger portion like you usually see in other restaurants.

Pros: The sangria, The flavour , The ambience

Cons: The portion size

Fantastic food!

Great paella for vegans. I have the prawn version one day and the chicken version the other - plus all the dips. The only issue is the waiting staff do take a really long time. Would recommend.

Not worth it

The menu was tempting, but the food fell short. My paella was lukewarm and the fake seafood was cold. The drink was the only highlight. I won't be returning.

Amazing

Confused by some of the poor reviews saying the food was bland or didn't live up to the hype, we got the "Spanish vibes" which is like a seafood tapas and it was DELICIOUS.

Came with two types of prawns and battered calamari which definitely had flavour, especially when dipped in the two types or creamy sauce.
The olives, pickles, fruit etc was all perfect, great taste

We really loved this food. Keep in mind I don't think it's supposed to be a meal, it's just a snack.

It's a little expensive but I think you'd be paying similar for a non vegan version of the same thing.

Really yummy, would definitely eat here again
