Fresh cooked to order food at MBK - Edit
MBK's posher food court operates on a plastic card system (you get a card on entry that stallholders swipe to add items and you pay for everything when you leave).
Read moreBig Papa's is the veggie food stall. It's listed here as vegetarian but we didn't notice anything that wouldn't be vegan. Everything is cooked fresh to order and there are examples of the dishes at the front of the stall so it's easy to order. We tried the pad thai with tofu and a tofu with cashew nuts which came with rice.
It's more expensive than the stall upstairs (120-150 baht per main) but the seating area is a bit quieter and each dish is cooked for you, giving it really good fresh flavour. If there's something you want them to add or leave out they will do it too.
Pros: Fresh tasting, Good range
Cons: Quite a bit more expensive than upstairs

Expensive - Edit
Confirmed open as per December 2013.

Quality food, a bit on the pricey side - Edit
As others have said below, Big Papa dishes up tasty Thai food at moderately high prices (around 120B/US$4 for appetizers and 150B/US$5 for main dishes as of Sep 2013), which is still a bit less than what one pays at the non-veg Thai outfits in the same food court.

In short, i wouldn't make a special trip to MBK just to eat here, but if you're in the mall already, it's a perfectly good choice.
For those on a budget, more affordable vegan Thai meals can be found upstairs in the vegetarian stall (level 6, stall C8).
Pros: seems to be all/mostly vegan, tasty tofu satay sauce
Cons: mall setting not exactly elegant

Excellent food court find! - Edit
It was surprise to find Big Papa in the MBK, a swap meet of a mall if there ever was one. It's more flea market really, but I digress. BP specializes in Thai dishes, which is a nice change of pace from the other vegan Bangkok spots we visited. The curry noodles and Tom yam soup were excellent. I would have also liked to try their tofu satay and yellow curry if I had the chance to return. The food court that it is in is really nice with real flatware and china. You take a card when you enter (don't lose it because there's a big charge) and they swipe it at each food kiosk you order at. The place reminds me of Harrod's food section actually. Definitely worth visiting if you're near National Stadium and want a quick bite without much fuss.

Good for a food court - Edit
Quick and tasty food, made to order. I tried the pad thai and a curry, which were both tasty, fresh and decent value.

MBK goes vegetarian - Edit
Located in a foodcourt offering food from all over the world. The vegetarian stall is easy to find. Wide selection of delicious food. All the dishes are displayed and have Thai and English name tags. Prices are not too high, considering you are in a very touristy shopping mall. Everything is made when it is ordered, so no big steaming pots. Very delicious, will certainly go back.

Cons: Many tourists
