Best meal in Oahu!! - Edit
This place is worth the trip from wherever you are staying on the island. Definitely the best meal we had all week during our trip. Their ranch dressing on the salad was amazing! The food was so flavourful and the staff were lovely. I had Da Scrambler and my husband had the Kolossal burger. We ate every bite. Portion size was also generous and we left full!

My family and I visited, my boys didn’t love the food. My husband and I for the most part liked it. I was not a huge fan of the “local favorite” but I wanted to taste what the locals liked so 🤷🏻♀️.

I love how their tofu scramble burrito had rice in it to make it more filling. I must go back to try other stuff.

Great find! - Edit
This place is an unassuming little restaurant on the side of the road, but ended up being a great stop. My non-vegan mom loved the sweet baked coconut oatmeal. The spicy tofu poke bowl was great and flavorful without being too spicy, and the poi was good but could’ve had more flavor. The triple truffle sampler was a great little sweet treat at the end of our meal. The only drawback was that honey is still served, but agave can be substituted.

Amazing food and vibe - Edit
Took us a while as we were stuck on the hwy to get there, but boy it was worth it. The food was fresh, flavorful, and other than the honey, everything was vegan. I got the Tofu Poke bowl and my husband got the Kalossal burger. Both were so delicious. The smoothies were so good too!! We also got a hand made crystal there.

Best in the world - Edit
The food here is the most amazing vegan food in the world! I absolutely loved my delish Buddha bowl here. It was amazing. They have a gorgeous menu that’s bursting with flavour. They have amazing cakes, I had the choc chip muffin, and it was incredible. There’s also a little vegan shop with T-shirt’s, hats and stickers. Definitely worth a visit when on Oahu ♥️

LOVE! - Edit
The food was really good and healthy. What we really loved about this place was their mission. They are helping Hawaiian get healthier through meals and education. One local told us he's lost 50lbs since starting the program!

Great vegetarian and vegan place - Edit
It’s a great vegetarian place in Oahu. Very tasty food. We had tofu poke and buddha bowl. Both were delicious. We were happy to try typical Hawaiian food (poke) in its vegetarian version. Portions are quite big and filling. Each of our bowl came with brown rice or millet. All one-time-used cutlery and dishes, used in this place, are compostable!😄What looks like a regular plastic cup is actually made of corn starch and is compostable!

Ai Love Nalo - Edit
Vegetarian/Vegan eatery nestled in the heart of Waimanalo. With plenty of fresh produce available to them they have created a great place in a town cultured with no modern eateries. There are fresh meals to choose from with great flavors regardless if you are vegan or not. They were creative in providing healthy options even offer soft serve vegan ice cream - the presentation looked really appealing.
Read moreWe had the It’s Mint To Be smoothie: 16 oz $6 or 20 oz $8 - Coconut milk, carob and maca powder, bananas, local mint, honey & cacao nibs. (Substituted agave for the honey) and the Watermelon Splash (seasonal) smoothie: 16 oz $6 or 20 oz $8 - Coconut water, watermelon, papaya and a touch of honey.
They have a nice garden area behind the restaurant to enjoy while you wait or take advantage of one of the two tables in the gardens to have your meal.
Parking is limited. Indoor seating is open air so it can get fairly warm. Looking forward to going back soon and trying more.
Pros: Vegan Friendly, Quality Food, Nice Vibe
Cons: Parking, No restroom

Expensive, No Bathroom - Edit
Not worth the drive 30 minutes outside of Honolulu for overpriced salad bowls. We left feeling underwhelmed and still hungry. There's also no bathroom available. As a vegan I am offended by being told the McDonald's down the road is the only restroom option. Ai NO Love!

Delicious!! - Edit
Highly recommend! The bbq portobello sandwich is sooo good! And their vegan soft serve is absolutely a must! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because we came on a Saturday and the soap in the bathroom was empty. We came back on Monday and the same empty soap bottle was still there. Kind of gross - especially since the employees preparing food would be using the same bathroom.

Blissful Days at Ai Love Nalo - Edit
The fact that Ai Love Nalo is a little far away from town shouldn't discourage you from making the trip out here! This is the best kind of restaurant-one where you can't decide what to eat because there's so many fantastic choices..
Read moreYesterday, I had my favorite "Medi-Bowl" with kalo falafel, beet hummus, babbaganoush and tabouleh. The restaurant was busier than usual (for a Sunday), due to a permaculture event happening. Still, it was very relaxing in their "Garden of Eatin'" (listening to live Reggae music from the event), and I could have stayed there all day.
I also recommend the "Oh Wow, Lau Lau" and the BBQ portobello mushroom sandwich. The swirled fruit soft-serve sundae is also so good! Try everything--you won't be disappointed! The food is really delicious and the service with a smile.
I always try to get in a visit to Waimanalo Beach after eating here. The coastal drive is breathtakingly beautiful, although a lot of traffic on weekends. Plan to hang around Waimanalo and bliss out after your meal.
Note: As of Feb 2018, I am downgrading my rating from 5 to 4 stars, after a recent visit. Food still tastes delicious. Unfortunately, not only have the prices been increased, but the portion sizes have shrunk dramatically.

several options and with gluten free options available - Edit
After staying in Waimanalu, this place was a must go. We have been there several times, we do have strong opinion. We have tried several of the bowls, nearly all, and a smoothie and the food is good and very tasty, just that the portions could be a bit bigger. The staff is OK, some nicer than others but maybe some were just having an OK day ;)

Delicious and a LOT of food - Edit
We got the basics - the oh wow laulau and tofu poke. They were both delicious. Not sure what makes seasoned tofu over millet with green salad a "poke bowl" but it was good. In all a lot of food.

Amazing food but still using honey! - Edit
This place is so good! But I have to say up front that they are still using honey as of my Sept. 2017 visit. So just be aware of that.
Read moreI got the Mint To Be smoothie (had to sub out the honey for agave) and it was amazing. We also had the Spicy Poke and the Kalossal Burger, which were both so good we came back later in the week to enjoy them again!
Missing one star for the use of honey even though they have signs at the door saying that no animal products are allowed inside the restaurant.
